Beautiful Stay

The place was beautiful, we stayed for two nights for my wife's birthday, and brought the family down. It slept everyone comfortably, and was very well kept. The historic charm you get while staying there is fantastic!

Savannah in the snow

Family visiting a SCAD student, unfortunately we chose the one week there was cold and snow. I understand this is unusual for Savannah, but I felt like at least the steps to the house could have been shoveled off. My 75 year old mother having to navigate snowy icy steps is not great. The house itself was also pretty drafty and smelled musty. We had to buy a candle. I understand the charm of an old house and being in a great location made it all worthwhile, but I do think updates are needed in the house in general- old fixtures, scratched and dented furniture, holes in the wall and broken curtains in the master bedroom, wood broken from the trim, etc. I personally would not stay here again.

Gorgeous Ghosty House

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home with plenty of room to sit and chat with friends. In the most beautiful street in Savannah. Close to Forsyth Park and not too far of a walk to downtown fun. Don’t plan on cooking - the kitchen and appliances are a bit outdated, but it is fitted with things you need for simple breakfast for sure. I was so excited for our stay until we read the guest book, filled with ghost encounters. We had a few odd things happen that could be explained away easily, but I was scared every night that my toes would be tugged. Overall a very lovely place to stay. We had no heat the first night, but we messaged and they took care of it the next day, relighting the pilot. We did need a place to keep luggage until our flight and the LS office kindly offered a spot in their office about 4 blocks away.

Cohen House on W. Jones Street

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a great location and the beds/sheets are good. There is plenty of room in the main house for up to 8 people. The garden apartment below was dark and musty, none of us would stay in there. The house unfortunately is in dire need of a deep clean, repair and maintenance. I would not recommend until all of that is completed. The website pictures are not accurate in some cases.

Beautiful Home

Beautiful old historic home on Jones St, which many consider one of the nicest/most beautiful streets in Savannah - it lives up tot the hype with brick roads and oak trees with Spanish moss overhanging and shading the street. House itself is beautiful and has great character - charming and with beautiful old floors and doors. Its location is unmatched being only a 10-15 minute walk to some of the more commercial areas of Savannah's historic district, but then being far away enough that its quiet and calm by where you stay. Beautiful courtyard in the back, with so many great sitting areas outdoors and inside the home. Only negatives are: some of the appliances are a bit old so a couple burners didn't work, and the dishwasher left a bad smell when opened - feels like it needs to be cleaned or updated. Everything else in the house was clean when arriving. Not necessarily a negative but more of an FYI - Lucky Savannah doesn't provide much except a couple of basic things for the home - one paper towel roll, a couple trash bags, a bit of toiletries, and some basic kitchen stuff. You will need to bring additional paper towels, trashbags, and definitely coffee filters if you stay and plan to have coffee at the house. We also ended up having to buy dish detergent as there was none provided in the kitchen upstairs but upon checking out, they did provide it in the basement apartment. Lucky Savannah was a great company to work with - super communicative and transparent, easy to work with, and they make checking in/check out and all house information simple with an easy-to-use app. They do provide the most important items for a stay. I would definitely recommend the house for anyone visiting or staying in Savannah. You can't get a better area to stay or a more local feel to living in the downtown area.

Property cleanliness and appliances

The property location was great. The kitchen appliances were awful. They are all very old. The refridgerator water and ice maker did not work. The stove top did work. The dishwasher door was broken. The master bathroom rugs were dirty.

Beautiful and convenient location!

The great part first, a large home with room for a large family or group, yay! A beautiful quaint brick street lined with amazing and lush plantings. The not so good, this house needs work, to save time I will list a few things, furniture in kitchen area has feathers poking out, very uncomfortable, home has mold spots and peeling paint in several places. The kitchen and bathrooms all need an update, and just 1 key for a home this size, not super convenient. This historic home is in need of maintenance and repair. Despite this would stay again due to location, but the pictures are much nicer than the actual home.

Large rental, in a beautiful location.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the rental was good because of the size, but it could use some cleaning and updating. Some of the furniture was falling apart and there was allot of dust, and even a cockroach decided to join us in the kitchen.

Great location, plenty of room but not as nice as we would have liked.

The location was perfect. The pictures of the property makes this place look nicer than it really is. The TVs were all old and out of date. Not all bedrooms had TVs. The upstairs bathroom tub was clogged up and didn’t drain properly and it leaked down into the master bedroom on the second floor. The coffee pot had a short in the plug and finally just quit on second morning as did the microwave. The company (Lucky Savannah) was quick to respond and end us a new microwave and coffee maker. The outside courtyard was grown up and the bushes were blocking a lot of the sitting areas and the mosquitoes were bad in and around the bushes. Beds were nice and comfortable and it was a large house , plenty of room for 10 people. Overall I would give the Cohen house a 3 out of 5.

SCAD Graduation Week

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was okay, no written instructions on anything, we are used to a binder being in the house that gives information on TVs, appliances and other house and neighborhood items. Also, the furniture is worn and definitely needs replacement. The bed in the master bedroom, while advertised as a King was not a king. All bathrooms need to be painted, peeling paint is not attractive. The yard should have been cleaned and usable, but was not.

Great location lots of issues

Location and bones of house are great. House wasn’t clean when we were due to check in and when it was cleaned it was a halfway job. Bathrooms weren’t cleaned, furniture was dirty etc. Property management gave small refund for this, but we were delayed for hours getting in house. House is nice but furniture is really old and needs a good cleaning and an update. Couches borderline broken. Lots of regular maintenance needed. Toilet paper holders were pulled off wall, kitchen appliances were hit or miss as were the televisions. Again great location and nice house but would not rebook.

Wonderful Location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved how central we were to all the attractions and could walk just about anywhere. Size was perfect for a larger group. Jones Street is beautiful. The house does need a little bit of maintenance. The master bath ceiling and toilet paper holder need repaired. As does the 1/2 bath toilet and an upstairs bathroom sink is clogged. All minor stuff. Nothing bad enough that we called about but the next quest might. Check in and out process was fast and easy. Would rent again and would recommend.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was the perfect place if you are coming with a large group. It gives you the feel of the historic Savannah but and it's nice and spread out. There are a few highly needed updates to the space including a few very cheap and frumpy couch in the back sitting room where we mainly wanted to be. Awful, but and the kitchen. Needs updated to match look of the rest of the main floor but these are just details.. but all together a ggreat place to stay and met all our needs.

Terrific fun place to stay

Overall a super comfortable home with many rooms to accommodate a big party. The only downside was the kitchen for the main unit which was probably last renovated in 1987. That being said it was one of the most well equipped kitchens we’ve ever seen. Fondue pot? Garlic press? Turkey roasting pan and rack? Check check and check! That was a nice surprise. The back courtyard was a welcome place to hang out at night. We loved it and the neighborhood was quiet and very walkable.

A fantastic base to explore historic Savannah!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Seven of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cohen House Main and Garden Apartment. The location on Jones St can’t be beat! The bedrooms all have lovely seating areas and we especially appreciated the water pressure and unending supply of hot water in the showers. The kitchen is well equipped and there are multiple gathering areas for a group of girlfriends enjoying some time away from home! Every morning we gathered at the table and seating area off the kitchen and used both tables to play board games at night! The house is a fantastic option for friends traveling together who each want their own bed.
