Outlander Cabin - Hot Tub, Lake and River Access!

ROMANTIC ~ INTERNET ~ FIREPLACE ~ HOT TUB ~ RIVERBEND AMENITIES

** No Lake Lure this year? No problem! Riverbend Community features two private, easily accessible lakes perfect for summer fun. **

Outlander Cabin is a beautiful three-bedroom, three-bath log home surrounded by picturesque forest and a limited mountain view with access to a private community lake just a short drive from the cabin. It has both sunny and shady porches overlooking lovely vistas in the private, gated community of Riverbend at Lake Lure. This cabin is 7 miles from Lake Lure Beach, 8 miles to Chimney Rock State Park, and 18 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC), home of the 2018 World Equestrian Games.

Outlander Cabin offers a great room with a cathedral ceiling, a gas log fireplace, Wi-Fi, and a flat-screen TV. The dining room seats 6, and the breakfast bar has two additional seats. This property offers a well-appointed, functional kitchen. The main level features a master bedroom with a queen bed and an adjoining bathroom, which is also accessible from the main living area. Upstairs, you’ll find a loft overlooking the great room with a flat-screen TV, a guest bedroom with a king bed, and a full bathroom on this level. The lower level offers another bedroom with a king bed and a full bath.

Outside, enjoy the hot tub, gas grill, rocking chairs, and large deck. Wildlife is abundant, including deer, assorted birds, rabbits, wild turkey, fox, and the occasional black bear. The cabin has an authentic mountain feel. The views are best in the winter, but you will feel right at home at Outlander Cabin no matter what time of the year you choose.

The location offers easy access to nearby restaurants, zip lines, hiking, fishing, boating, and swimming. It is a short drive to the Lake Lure beach and Chimney Rock State Park; quaint shops in Chimney Rock and Hendersonville; and music and theater in Brevard and Flat Rock.

Gated Community Amenities
Plus, you can also enjoy all the amenities of Riverbend at Lake Lure: Mirror Lake and its beach, the covered picnic site complete with picnic tables, rocking chairs, stone fireplaces, restrooms, spectacular views, the Broad River Old Swimming Hole, walking trails, and seating by the waterfall and along the Broad River. The fishing is excellent, and there is a bait shop across from the Riverbend entrance. Deer and wild turkeys are sighted regularly.

There are also lots of entertainment and activity options in this area.

Be Our Guest
Pack your clothes, pick up some groceries (an Ingles Market is just minutes away), and then sit back, relax, and enjoy all Lake Lure/Chimney Rock, Riverbend, and Juvé Cabin have to offer. If you stay once, we are confident you will return again and again for the beauty, comfort, hospitality, and enjoyment. We hope to see you soon and look forward to you being our guest!

AREA WIDE NOTICE: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2025, through the first quarter of 2025 (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself.

*** Summer 2025 - Lake Lure Update ***

Per the website www.townoflakelure.com: Lake Use in 2025- Town Council and Town leadership are keenly aware of the importance of reopening the Lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Given the timing of the work that has been completed thus far and the need for ongoing work moving forward, it is extremely unlikely that the Lake will be able to open for the 2025 summer season. (This includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and swimming.) For those of you who have been following our storm recovery process closely, this news may not be a surprise to you. I thought it was important to share this news with you directly. Please note that Town Council and Town leadership will continue to evaluate options for opening the Lake or portions of the Lake and we will continue to keep you informed with any updates as new information becomes available.

With some minor fixes it would have been great

Overall property was as listed. Cleanliness was less than satisfactory: bed in basement had dirty bedding and dirty paper towels left on the bed so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Main floor bedroom had obvious spill on the floor that wasn’t cleaned before we arrived. We did receive clean bedding for the basement bed, but from calling in to report the problem to someone dropping off sheets took a few hours. Less than ideal with kids who were ready for bed after a long travel day. One kitchen towel for a rental that can sleep 6-8 isn’t sufficient. The upstairs bed was broken or damaged and went steeply downhill on side which made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. Add some new kitchen towels, a better cleaning and a new bed and the rental would be a great find.

Fun family vacation

We knew we were out on the wilderness when we stepped out of our cars at Outlander cabin and were greeted by a bear! While that made for a wild start, it was a memory we will never forget. Our group included myself, my husband, our 3 year old son, 6 year old daughter, and my parents. There was plenty of space for everyone. My husband and I stayed in the basement with our children and it worked out perfectly. Outlander was incredibly clean and well stocked. We especially loved the porch swing, hammock, hot tub, and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. We also enjoyed swimming in the beautiful lake everyday. We were all sad to leave and will definitely return.

Loved the cabin

The cabin was sooooo clean and sooooo cute! Exactly as described and it had no many little touches that we loved. We even used the hot tub and our 5 yr old grandson loved it too! We were so appreciative of the gates on the porches, while probably to keep the large animals off the porch, it was so helpful to corral our 18th month old granddaughter! Thank you!!!

Vacation

The property was amazing. Everything was as listed. There were so many little, unexpecting touches to the cabin. They truly thought of everything anyone may need.

Excellence Personified

This was my first time staying in a log cabin and I thoroughly enjoyed the Outlander property and ambience. It was the best gift I have given myself in two decades. The ambience of this property is without equal and I was in awe with the spaciousness, amenities, and privacy! A phenomenal experience and exposé in relaxation and luxury.

We Love Lake Lure!

We had such a fantastic time on our Lake Lure, NC vacation staying at The Outlander. This was our first trip to that area and it exceeded our expectations. I usually like to choose a home with more reviews than this one had, but we took a chance and I’m so glad we did! This house is located in a very quiet gated community that has a private lake and rocky streams with waterfalls. The house is beautiful with many amenities and all of the residents/visitors we encountered were very friendly. Our kids had so much fun swimming and fishing. The nature walk to the small waterfall and stream was also very fun and our kids loved playing in the water and exploring in the stream. The house was plenty big for our family of four. You could easy have a multi-family vacation in this house—there is a nice bathroom on each floor. A family of four could sleep upstairs between the main bedroom with a king bed and then a sleeper sofa in the adjacent loft. A couple/grandparents could have the main floor bedroom and bath. Then an additional family of ~4 could sleep comfortably in the basement bedroom and have their own bathroom as well. It was nice to have onsite laundry in the basement, too. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were board games and books. The house had floats for the lake and the hot tub was a nice perk! All of the light switches were labeled which is always helpful in a vacation home! The sunsets were beautiful (which are probably even more amazing in the winter months after the leaves fall) and there is plenty of outdoor dining/seating on the wrap around porch. The house and subdivision are in a great location, just a short drive to Lake Lure and all of the activities nearby. There is a huge Ingles grocery store about 5-10 minutes from the house that has a Starbucks and a gas station. Chimney Rock State Park and shopping area are also close by, too. We enjoyed the local restaurants, food truck, and ice cream shops. An added bonus was the close proximity of the zip line park (be sure to make a reservation in advance!). Our kids are still talking about our vacation! This is a great home! You won't be disappointed!

Lake Lure Cabin Fun

We enjoyed the fantastic location of the cabin to Lake Lure and Cedar Creek Stables. Tubing the Green River was also fun, then back to the cabin to relax and rest in the hot tub. It would be nice to have the hot tub on the main floor, and a pool, ping pong or foozball table upstairs (outside the master bedroom). Minor issues with housekeeping, but the property management company is very responsive. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Great Stay

We had a great experience. The cabin is in excellent condition. Very cozy with lots of room. We enjoyed the hot tub, outside gas fire pit, grill, and the amazing views. Its a short drive to the grocery store (about 7 minutes), and an 11 minute drive to the village of Blowing Rock. Great restaurants all around. We will be coming back.
