Family-friendly, well-equipped, spacious country house,garden and Fibre Internet

Our place is close to Kaiapoi. You’ll love our place because it has plenty of room, good heating / cooling, well-equipped kitchen, gas hot water with great pressure, three luxury mattresses for a perfect sleep and rural views out the back. It is good for couples and families (with kids). It's on a 10-acre established section with lots of space to explore.

The Den has a 55 inch smart TV with Sky satellite TV, DVD player and Netflix if you have an account. It has super-fast Fibre Internet and WiFi.

Note that there is an external floodlight/security camera facing the driveway. If you would like that disabled for your stay, please let me know.

** 100% refund if cancelled by the day before check-in. VRBO does not have this option but I can approve the refund if your plans change. Please let me know ASAP though, so someone else gets a chance to rent it **

Delightful cottage
We love having our getaways at this cottage. It is always tidy and clean. It has lots of lovely touches that makes it feel like you are in your home: comfortable chairs, books, well-supplied kitchen. I would highly recommend this property.

Lovely cottage
We had a lovely getaway here, 4 friends just wanting to relax together. The house was well taken care of, comfortable bed, good showers, well equipped kitchen and comfortable couches in the living rooms. It felt like a home.

Gorgeous and welcoming house - perfect bbq spot
Thank you for having us to stay at your beautiful house and gardens, especially with the cherry blossoms coming out. It was so homely and a perfect place to host a engagement bbq. Amazing kitchen & bbq facilities, all very well equipped. It was a lovely place to unwind. The location was great, clost to Chch and only 10 mins out of Rangiora & Kaiapoi. But it really felt like a slice of tranquil countryside.

Ohoka Retreat
We needed to leave the city over Guy Fawkes 2-7 november. We booked this lovely looking house in the country 45min; drive from our home. The house suited our needs for bedrooms, it was warm (cool weather happened),well appointed kitchen as we were totally self catering, a great selection of the owner's books, good laundry, lovely kitchen dining, and 2 lounges. Thankyou!

Beautiful home
We really enjoyed our stay here. The home is older but beautifully restored and has everything you could need. The beds are comfortable, the home is warm and the kitchen well stocked with all the pets, pans, plates and utensils you could need. The home was spacious and homely with quality linens and bookshelves stacked with a huge and varied selection that made me want to curl up in a comfy chair and read all day!! The location was great for our needs. Rural with plenty of space and a large fenced yard. Overall a fabulous stay. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Great family friendly accommodation
This property has everything you could want in a holiday home. Warm and welcoming, comfortable den, lounge and bedrooms. The kitchen is well, presented and stocked with appliances and plates, cutlery and drinking utensils. I cooked a meal for extended family with no issues. We will stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautifully presented, warm comfortable home to relax and unwind in. The only complication that we had was no potato masher 😭 Just a note for future maintenance was the back toilet there was mould on the ceiling of the toilet/shower and the extractor fan does not work and paint is peeling around it And also the decking at the back door is a bit mossy and slippery with the rain we had But an awesome stay and beautiful house and property

Fantastic place for a family holiday.
This house was ideal and we (6 of us) loved our time there. There was ample space inside abd out. It was warm, clean and comfortable and had a huge range of equipment for us to use, including sharp knives, which are rare in baches for hire. I thoroughly recommend a stay here whether a single person or a combined family group like us or in fact anything in between. Close to Christchurch but rural and away from it. Thanks.
