Scenic Paudash Lake Rental: Comfortable Cottage for Nature Lovers and Adventures

Our lakeside cottage welcomes you to experience the natural beauty of Paudash Lake!

With space for six guests across two comfortable bedrooms and a cozy loft area, it's ideal for family gatherings or friends looking to reconnect.

The loft has become a favorite spot for many guests - with a comfortable futon for sleeping, a smart TV for movie nights, and bean bags perfectly positioned to take in the stunning fall colors through the windows.

You'll find our kitchen ready for cooking with all the essentials you need. Many guests love using our year-round grill for outdoor cooking while enjoying the fresh lake air.

Paudash Lake is a true gem with its crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and excellent fishing. Our spacious dock includes a dedicated boat slip available until mid October.

Autumn evenings bring a refreshing chill, there's nothing better than gathering around our custom in-ground fire pit. It's become the heart of many memorable nights under the stars for our guests.

In winter, our cottage transforms into a cozy haven for snow enthusiasts. Just minutes from well-maintained snowmobile trails that connect to the larger OFSC trail network, you can ride right from the property.

Spring brings its own magic to Paudash Lake as the ice melts and nature reawakens. Watch for returning wildlife, enjoy the peaceful sounds of the season, and take advantage of early fishing opportunities when the lake is less busy but just as bountiful.

As evenings bring a refreshing chill in autumn and winter, there's nothing better than gathering around our custom in-ground fire pit. It's become the heart of many memorable nights under the stars for our guests.

Just what we needed.

Spent a relaxing week on Paudash Lake, canoeing and relaxing on the new dock. Silent Lake Provincial Park, which is just minutes down the road is also well worth a visit. Jill is a great host, and quick to answer any questions that we had. Overall a great experience, and just what we needed.

Beautiful property

We had an amazing stay at Jill’s cottage. It was clean, the kitchen was wonderful with all amenities, the beds were comfortable. A brand new dock was recently put in. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because we were busy hiking and exploring but the set up was beautiful. Large windows and two large ceiling fans were great for the hot weather. They supplied the fire wood. Overall experience was great!

Comfortable

Beautiful wood and comfy, you definitely feel like you're away from the city and not too far from places like No Frills, Canadian Tire and Shoppers, in case you need anything.

Tons of light

This property provided great waterfront views and access on the dock. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well outfitted with everything you need. It’s a quick drive to Bancroft or Haliburton to pick up necessities. If you like sunsets and to wake up to sunrises, this place is a winner.

Lovely stay

We had an amazing stay at Jill and Adam’s place. They were very helpful and available for our questions and despite the unexpected power outage due to the storm, they helped us enjoy our night with candles and cooking on the grill. Would definitely come back here because I already muss this gorgeous loft!

Wonderful, open, sunny stay

The property is gorgeous, and matches the photos: huge windows, spacious interior, wood everywhere and well setup. TV up in the loft was great when we wanted to sit down for a movie, but nicely out of sight and out of mind during the day. Lots of sunlight and space that make it feel very connected to the surrounding nature. Jill, the host, was quick to respond to anything we needed, and the whole process was simple and easy. Highly recommend!

Scenic location, rustic chalet

This chalet was the perfect weekend getaway. Jill was very helpful answering my questions. This chalet was the only one of its kind on Paudash lake, with a great kitchen, tons of space in the living/dining areas and a comfy loft. I'd definitely recommend.

Absolutely Wonderful Cottage

We were a small group of adults up north for a snowmobile vacation. Cottage was wonderful, we were spoiled. We had such a great time we didn't even realize until the ride home that we never even turned on a TV. We will be most definitely be returning.

Paudash Lake

We had a great mini vacation, our girls wanted to stay longer! Jill was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. We didn't have any issues and loved the property! Very close to the snowmobile trails. My husband and I are thinking of coming back this summer. The house was set up perfectly for kids - they loved the loft! Thank you for a stress free vacation!

About the host

Hosted by Jill Elliott

Host profile image
We are the Bartelliotts, a family deeply connected to Paudash Lake. For my husband, this lake holds a lifetime of memories. Now, our own boys eagerly dive into its waters and cast their lines, creating their own summer stories just as they have since they were small.
Our cottage stands as a special place for our family and for those we welcome. More than just a vacation spot, it's a home away from home that we've thoughtfully prepared with all the conveniences you'll need. Simply unpack your bags, stock the pantry, and you're ready to experience the lake—whether that means relaxation, adventure, or finding your perfect balance of both.
We take pride in sharing this piece of Paudash Lake that has meant so much to our family over the years, and we hope you'll enjoy its charm and comfort as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

The Mineral Capital of Canada
Our cottage sits in what's known as the mineral capital of Canada. The Bancroft area is famous among rock collectors because you can find about 90% of all the world's minerals right here. Whether you're a serious collector or just enjoy finding cool rocks with the kids, there are plenty of spots to explore nearby.
Silent Lake Provincial Park
Just a short drive away, Silent Lake Provincial Park offers beautiful, undeveloped shorelines and clear waters. In winter, the park maintains excellent cross-country ski trails with different difficulty levels. When the snow melts, these same trails become perfect for hiking through the woods and around the lake.
Snowmobile Right From The Property
For snowmobilers, you'll love how easy it is to hit the trails—there's access just 150 feet from our door. The local trail system covers over 300 kilometers, connecting you to the broader OFSC network. Many of our winter guests appreciate being able to start their ride without having to trailer their sleds.
Sir Sam's Ski Hill
About 45 minutes away, Sir Sam's offers downhill skiing and snowboarding for all skill levels. It's a family-friendly hill with reasonable prices and shorter lift lines than you'll find at larger resorts. Many of our guests make day trips there during winter stays.
We chose this location because it offers so much to do year-round. Whether you're interested in outdoor activities, want to hunt for minerals, or simply relax by the water, there's something here that makes each season special.

What makes this property unique

Unlike many seasonal cottages in the area, our Paudash Lake chalet is fully equipped for genuine year-round enjoyment. We've designed it as our family's second home rather than just a summer rental, with heating systems and amenities that truly work across all four seasons.

Our lakefront location offers direct water access with a private dock in summer, but doesn't hibernate in winter. When the lake freezes, you can step right onto the ice for skating or ice fishing, and the snowmobile trail access just 150 feet away means no trailering required.

We've furnished our place with our own family in mind—comfortable beds, a fully functional kitchen and spaces designed for gathering together. The custom in-ground fire pit has become the heart of many family evenings and conversations under the stars.
Perhaps most unique is our location at this special intersection of attractions—Paudash Lake's crystal waters, the mineral-rich Bancroft area, extensive trail systems, and proximity to both Silent Lake Provincial Park and winter sports destinations. Few properties offer such diverse activities across every season.
As a family who uses this property ourselves, we've invested in creating a place where memories are made year after year, not just a place to stay for a night or two.
