Amazing and Incredible Property, Views, and Host

I was just passing through from Seattle to Alaska and decided to stop here for a night. Looking back, I wish I had more time to spend here! The property is amazing clean, cozy, and completely off the grid - you won't have cell signal nor is there WiFi - which makes you feel much more connected to the outdoors. The views were spectacular being right there on the lake. Kristy not only made sure she had a meal ready for me when I got there, but she did me a complete solid and provided me gas when I realized I wouldn't be able to make it to the next fuel station (pro tip, check your gauges often, as the closest fuel station is give or take ~115 km in either direction). Amazing host! Would love to stay again here for longer if given the chance.

Ever since spending my toddler years on a forestry lookout I have been called back to the wilderness. It’s in my blood. As a young girl my dream was to live off the grid. So at age 24 I bought my Vines and Puppies cabin. For the last 20 years, I’ve been living and exploring the backcountry at my doorstep in all of its seasonal glory. Now I am fortunate to be living my dream as a self sustaining female entrepreneur and I want to share it with you. Come and experience my cozy B&B’s on the edge of adventure; whether it be on foot, canoe, kayak, snowmobile or ATV.
I love to cook and bake; in the early days canning on a 2 burner camp stove and cooking on the woodstove. Now I have a full service kitchens completely stocked and supply a homemade local meals to my guests. Some of my favorite things – include pooches, fishing, finding the story in animal tracks, identifying plants, berry picking, river boating, finding the perfect tree to fall for firewood, hard work, clean spaces and relaxing by an open fire.

Why they chose this property

Our chalet offers a unique off grid experience without feeling like you are roughing it!
