About this property
Toronto Beaches Home
Welcome to Queen & Coxwell - quite literally the dividing line between two of Toronto’s nicest neighbourhoods, Leslieville and the Beaches, only minutes from Ashbridges Bay, and across the street from Drake’s new music venue, History. This 2-bedroom home is more than 160 years old, with original wainscoting and authentic tin textured walls and ceilings, along with freshly renovated fixtures, kitchen, bath and fun decor, offering the ideal balance of vintage charm and modern aesthetic. The home also comes with a private fenced-in backyard, complete with outdoor dining table, grill, lawn chairs, and jacuzzi hot tub.
At a little over a thousand square feet, our home comfortably sleeps 1-4 guests, the perfect spot for a couple or small family looking for a cozy getaway, someone staying in the city for work, or a handful of friends on a weekend away. Both bedrooms on the second floor have queen beds, with an open concept living and dining area downstairs, 3-piece bathroom with shower on the main floor, and a little desk area for anyone working remotely. There’s parking for up to 2 cars, along the left of a Y-shaped driveway, shared with our neighbour next door.
- Just north of Queen Street, a great stroll east to the Beaches or west into Leslieville
-Local favourite Simple Coffee is on the corner, with Murphy’s Law Pub up the street
-Woodbine Park’s across the way, host of Jazz Fest, Canada Day fireworks and more
-The start of the boardwalk along Woodbine Beach is less than 10 minutes by foot
- Also short drive to Toronto’s film studio district - Pinewood, Revival, Cinespace, & co
- If you like to jog or bike, the Leslie Spit nearby has arguably the best view of the city
We love Toronto’s east end - great boutique shops, restaurants, and coffee houses, and there’s a movie theatre only a stone’s throw from our place. We look forward to hosting you in our home, and we’re here if you have any questions at all about your upcoming stay :)
It's worth noting that our home is on a small side avenue - a quiet family neighbourhood, the kind where the kids play ball hockey in the streets. Our home is certainly not a setting for group events, outdoor music, or loud parties of any kind. We expect guests to be respectful of our neighbours at all times, and in accordance with local by-laws keep outside noise to a minimum, and quiet hours after 11pm. Please treat both our home and our neighbourhood as you would your own.
