About this property

Sunset Ridge Lodge - Sunset Ridge Lodge - Breathtaking mountain views and

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall - Sunset Ridge Lodge has got it all! Enjoy breathtaking mountain views and spectacular sunsets ALL seasons from this beautifully designed, all wood construction, 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath home that sleeps 10.
Plan to be amazed…

The outside features a hot tub with 360-degree views, and a fire pit where you can see for miles. The wraparound porch is the ultimate place to take in the view, too and features a large dining table with plenty of chairs to dine, rocking chairs to relax, a gas fire pit to cozy up to, a gas grill for grilling, and plenty of space for those who may want to practice yoga or sprawl out to take in all the glorious natural scenery.

As you walk through the front door you will immediately notice the grand floor-to-ceiling picture windows with soaring ceilings. The natural sunlight that comes in and the views from every area of the home are picturesque. The bottom open floor plan includes a gourmet kitchen, dining room, and cozy living room with a wood-burning fireplace. Tucked away on the bottom floor as well are the laundry room, half bath, bunk bedroom, and two bedrooms with their own full bathrooms.

As you wander upstairs, you will be amazed by the large entertainment loft area that overlooks the home, with comfortable seating, a huge screen tv, dartboard, shuffleboard, mini bar, and even a small refrigerator. You may never want to wander back down! The upstairs also features two bedrooms, one on each side of the entertainment area. Each bedroom has its own bath, and the master bedroom has a large garden tub and walk-in shower.

Sunset Ridge Lodge is perfectly named because the sunset views on the ridge are priceless, as well as unforgettable. The views are worth the drive and as one young guest has said, “It’s like a drive up to theclouds”. *We do recommend AWD in the Winter in case of icy conditions

Beautiful views

Beautiful views! House was nicely set up with bathrooms on each bedroom which worked for our family. The road was a struggle due to snow. The house wasn’t clean. Cleaner when we left it.

Beautiful location

My stay was right after the terrible floods from Hurricane helene. Communication with the staff was great and they helped with finding the safest route. I will say that even on a good day i think getting to the house might be a little difficult. We headed up in two different 2wd suvs. One of us got stuck and had to have some assistance. But once you get to the top it is beautiful and worth every second of the drive.. The home is so comfy and the beds were hard to get out of! The view from the porch and the hot tub is probably one of the most breathtaking I've ever experienced. Overall i would definitely book again but would drive my 4wd for sure!

Wonderful mountain hideaway

Well appointed home perfect for 4 couples. The view was fantastic. Used the amenities hot tub, fire pit, grill, outdoor gas fireplace. Very private at the end of a gravel road no neighbors or traffic. We loved it so much. We talked about coming back again next year.

Great experience, location and property.

Everything was just as listed in the description. Plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook any meal. The view off the deck was amazing. Definitely recommend staying here! Communication with the staff was quick and easy.

THE Perfect Mountain Getaway

I have been vacationing in the mountains for years, VRBO is my favorite because you can get an experience that is not commercial. It is always a goal to find a house that is secluded and has a spectacular view, something you would see in a movie or a magazine. The true picture of a mountain vacation. THIS house is THE example of a mountain getaway adventure. Wow! The views off of the porch, and it faces west so you get the most spectacular sunsets. It could not have been more perfect for us and our adventure. THANK YOU!!

So very nice, house was beautiful. Very accommodating, the only thing it didn't have was a keurig coffee maker so we bought our own.

Gorgeous view for a gorgeous cabin

I stayed at this property with a group of friends from college (we’re all 25-27) as an alternative to our normal beach trip and we LOVED the house. Genuinely could not have asked for a better view. Some of our favorite aspects of the cabin: incredibly spacious with lots of rooms for socializing, fire pit, plenty of outdoor deck space (including a dining table), hot tub, and on-site washer/dryer. The driveway was a bit tricky but not impossible and we had great cell phone service/Wi-Fi the entire time. Highly recommend.

Stunning view of the mountains

We loved our time at the vacation house. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend folks give it a try, but know that the road is steep to get up the mountain.

Fabulous Cabin in the Sky

Great cabin, lots of space with 8 adults in our group. 20 min from NOC and Smoky Mountain Railway. Best view I’ve ever had with a cabin. Looking to definitely rebook again in the near future.

Amazing Views and an Amazing Cabin

The cabin was incredible with great views. At times you are looking down at the clouds in the valley. The last part of the road to the cabin is a gravel “mountain” road that takes some skill to navigate. I would suggest arriving during daylight hours. The cabin was in great condition inside and out. It was nice that the the 4 bedrooms had their own bathrooms. One thing that guests should keep in mind is that the bunk bed room does not have a door on it. This room is just off the kitchen and great room so noise/privacy may be an issue for some children using this room. A fantastic location that we would recommend to anybody interested in a great Mountain View.

Awesome View

This home is out in the middle of nowhere BUT we loved it. Best view of the smokey mountains of anywhere we have stayed. Will definitely come back. Road was gravel but was worth the curves & hills.

Spectacular Mountain Cabin

This cabin was awesome! One of very few we found in the Bryson City area that would accommodate 4 couples each with a master-like suite with their own bathrooms. The amenities were superb —the cabin had absolutely everything we needed. AND THE VIEW WAS STUNNING! The online pictures don’t lie — the hot tub view from under the stars was fantastic! And, this place is truly “at the end of the road” — a one-lane gravel road to paradise. We WILL stay here again! Our only complaint, which is a very tiny one, is that the cabin key code entry instructions were not clear and they were poorly written — so it took us a bit and a phone call to gain entry. But, a trivial thing compared to the awesomeness of the place! Try it out — you won’t regret it!!

Vacay in the clouds!

Beautiful cabin, clean , great views of the Great Smoky Mtns and clouds. Ac didn’t work good in the bedrooms downstairs. Stars went on forever but Jacuzzi needed water changed. I would put a notebooK with info to the cabin and surrounding area information. For example the jacuzzi said OH we didn’t know what that meant but my husband did “overheat” so he took care of it. The other 4 couples didn’t know. An info book could have told us . Overall we all would stay in this cabin on the ridge again!
