Great property for fisherman
For a couple of serious steelhead fisherman, looking for centrally located cabin that is clean, well stocked and situated in the middle of some very fine fishing this is one you should consider. It offers the ability to travel both upstream and downstream. Place is perfect for two however anything more would get a little crowded.

Memories this stay is all about
This was our 2nd time staying at this amazing little house next to the river, Lisa is one of the best hosts. This is an annual fishing trip for me and my boys, everything about the stay was just perfect. Fishing was amazing both days, the steelhead were everywhere lots of hook-ups. Lots of games in the house, we took advantage of a few, laughs for hours and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Will be coming back for sure, it’s a must stay little gem. Thanks again Lisa, loved your little Apple homemade cake you made for us.

Beautiful
Owner was local and very helpful when questions had arisen. Beautiful cabin and very comfy interior. Despite the cold weather, the heaters worked wonders and kept the house warm even after being turned off. Wonderful scenery and quiet area. Lots of nearby deer. Surrounding towns are very welcoming and friendly when talking with them. Owner had a plethora of resources for everything you need to know about the area in her binder. From nearby restaurants to hiking trails and fishing guides. Would recommend 10/10

Cozy cabin in great location
We had a great stay at Poker Bar Farms cabin. It was clean, comfy, and very well stocked with everything we needed. We loved sitting in the hot tub in the evenings after being out exploring and fishing during the day. The cabin is centrally located between Weaverville and Lewiston which made exploring both areas really easy. And pet friendly… perfect for us!

Quiet, private, and just right!
Our family of three little bears found the cabin in the woods to be just right. Lisa was a great hostess, she has thought of everything, even down to the homemade zucchini bread. We took the bikes out for an evening ride, played cornhole in the yard, and soaked in the hot tub after a day of exploring the area. We drove to several river access points, as there wasn’t access from the cabin/neighborhood. The access points are just that, access and not really beaches for pole fishing. But they are free and we were able to drop our lines in a couple of places. This was a short trip for us, so we couldn’t possibly get all of the things done that are offered in the area. Lisa had an incredible catalog of things to do, menus, maps and more. The cabin was fully stocked and clean! The cabin looks exactly like the pictures. This was our very first VRBO experience and we had a great time.

Ideal
We came to Douglas City to visit our daughter & family who moved into the area recently. This was the ideal place to stay for “downtime” to ourselves while being only 10 mins away from our daughter’s place. They also enjoyed coming over one evening for bbq. We had everything we needed and it was peaceful, comfortable & private. We hope to stay here again when we visit next year.

I am a semi-retired gal, baking vendor at the Weaverville Farmers' Market May through October which specializes in Greek and American delicacies (also available to guests!), a board member and grant writer for our local fire department, Fire Belles, LAFCO Alternate member, and also volunteer for local groups in the area.

Why they chose this property

This cabin property is beautiful, peaceful, and stocked with everything a traveler needs. It is one short block to my riverfront. I love to kayak, grow my own organic produce and stay busy with my community. I love to provide guests with memorable experiences so they will want to return again as a tradition.

What makes this property unique

Overall comfort and provisions with little details make my guests' stays wonderful. Guests have commented that the environment is very serene and quiet, with wonderful views of the mountains, open sky, and that it has all the comforts of home with everything they need when traveling. The beds are very comfortable with high quality seasonal bedding, all kitchen and bath essentials, bikes, a private hot tub, outdoor games (corn hole, croquet), 4 bikes, two hammocks, indoor board games, inner tubes, and rafts. The internet is fast and Wi-Fi calling works with most carriers. The Smart TV provides a host of entertainment, especially if you are a subscriber to Netflix, Hulu or other media modes. I also have basic DISH TV for sports, news, and DIY shows. You'll love relaxing and watching your favorites! Games and DVDs and player are available in the cabin, as well. The outside area is very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the mountains, open wilderness, with significant wildlife in the area and by the river. Sit outside and gaze at the stars from the cabin's telescope from the porch or relax in the hot tub and melt your stress away!
