This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home features large bay windows in the Living Room to stay focused on that ocean view and a central stone fireplace. The Primary Suite boasts a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with a vintage step-down jacuzzi tub. The private backyard is complete with a hot tub, lounge chairs, and a lush tropical garden. The front patio is the perfect location to watch the July 4th fireworks, sailboat regatta, and sunset over the Channel Islands from the comfort of your own space.

Perfect location
Perfect location for a walk to the beach, to watch the sunrise AND sunset. We used the deck to drink our morning coffee, eat lunch and afternoon snacks. So many wonderful restaurants within a short drive.

Mixed bag
Clean property but as other reviewers have mentioned, quite dated property. Washer and dryer have seen better days but are serviceable. When using microwave or dryer, all lights in use in house dim. It is on a very busy street where traffic goes all day long, but quiet at night. Across from pretty public park but very, very busy park with runners, walkers, barking dogs and every afternoon we were there for a week, a big soccer setup for kids games. Saturday was an in-park kid's birthday party that went on for 5 hours. Popular park spot because right next to restrooms and parking lot. Property management was responsive when we called to get hot tub heating times adjusted for our use and also when we emailed upon checkout a few issues such as a leaking faucet and ants in kitchen and master bath. Lots of newish Wayfair furniture doesn't really add up to the price point of this rental.

Awesome place - we will definitely rent again!
This was a perfect place to stay for our 3 day trip to Santa Barbara. Only negative to us was that the sun didn't come out much but that's Santa Barbara in the summer. We absolutely loved walking along the beach right across from the house. Walked down to Shoreline Cafe each day for breakfast or lunch. Overall perfect - just wish we had stayed all week. Thank you so much!

Enjoyed this place. It’s dated but clean and was perfect for our mixed family of teens and adults. Great for morning walks and close enough to town if you like walking. Teens not so much. Hot tub was a hit. Loved the deck views & back yard vibe Would be perfect if there were bikes, corn hole and the June gloom didn’t exist.

Beautiful, but obviously absentee owner
Great location, very unique house-looks like it was very stylish in its day. Very clean and well stocked, but it was obvious that the owner rarely visits. There aren’t any lamps in the living room that could be used for reading-one had a terribly dim bulb and the other was non-functional. Light switches in the house need to be labeled-we never did find out how to turn off one of the kitchen lights. I gave it 5 stars because of location and overall quality of stay, but, if I could nitpick for a minute, short term rentals seem to be less about a nice functional place to stay, and more about what looks good on instagram.

Bungalow with beautiful views
A great classic California bungalow. The house was pristine, one of the cleanest VRBO's we have experienced. Location is perfect across from the park with access to the ocean 5 minutes away at 1000 steps beach. Beautiful views of the ocean and the mountains in the distance.

The view was wonderful and the house is cute. We had a great stay. Some of the folks around the neighborhood there weren’t too nice, which was a big annoying.

Lovely beach getaway
This was an amazing location for our vacation. The awesome views of the ocean and all the cozy places to relax were perfect. Close access to the beaches were great for morning walks. Kitchen well equipped, super comfy beds, and great linens. Will definitely come back

Perfect Location!
*Right* across the street from Shoreline Park with a crosswalk right in front of the house. Absolutely beautiful views and outdoor sitting areas. We walked around the park daily, encountered many friendly people there, and also enjoyed people watching from the livings room- that park is a popular place! The park clears out after sunset and so the house is a very quiet place at night. We had a few rainy days during our stay, which made us look closer at the interior. There is vintage charm to this place that makes it feel very “California” and should not be changed-we loved the vibe. But there were cobwebs above both showers, spots on the carpet, worn out finishes on faucets etc. Dropped my phone under the couch to discover it was *extremely* dusty underneath . No safety screen for the fireplace. Some deep cleaning and a few exchanges/additions of worn fixtures would make a real difference, and for the price of the rental, is necessary. Everyone commented on the comfortable beds. Super easy to get from this house to downtown and the beach/wharf as well as grocery store, coffee etc. Truly the location is just amazing and worth you booking this place!

We very much enjoyed the view, the beautifully decorated comfortable spaces and bedding. There are multiple seating options out on front deck and on private back deck which has great mood lighting and landscaping. Perfect roomy space for six people. The kitchen is sufficiently stocked though a bigger frying pan would have been nice to have (we made do with using two small ones each time). We had a broom to clean up after cooking in the kitchen but wished we had a mop as we had a spill and had to use lots of paper towels which felt wasteful. My only complaint is that the hot tub controls are locked up. So you can’t change the temp and/or time when it heats. I guess owner is trying to be mindful of electricity but it just heats for an hour in the morning and an hour in early afternoon. Our schedule did not match the hot tub schedule and the first few days we ended up in barely warm water which was disappointing. We called the rental managers and they sent someone right away that changed it to our requested temp and shifted the times it was on to better match our best guess of use. But all our days are not the same so not quite what I’ve experienced with other rentals were the tub is hot regardless of time of day/evening. Other than that truly a great place.

Terrific place. Great sunrise views of the ocean. Super close to the harbor and State Street. Very popular walking path across the street on that parallels the ocean. Front deck is perfect for morning coffee or having friends over in the evening. Will definitely be coming back to this property. Property managers at Paradise Retreats were fantastic to work with. Very accommodating. Had small issue w combo to get in house. Property management owners were even willing to come by themselves to help. Got it figured out on phone. But loved their response and willingness! Great place and team

Amazing location!
Beautiful location, quiet neighborhood and loved the access to the park across the street with walking path. Easy walk up the street for coffee or groceries, and quick ride to downtown for food and shopping. The home was very clean, beds comfortable, and the outside spaces were perfect for relaxing and visiting. We hope to come back!
