The rental process was very easy and smooth. The agent was friendly and responsive. We usually rent a different house on John’s Pond each year, but it was unavailable this year, so we booked this home instead. The house was double the rental rate of the other house we usually rent, but looked amazing on-line so we splurged. The views are amazing from this property. The outside area was great as well. Plenty of seats, sand, a tiki bar with TV and dock. The landscaping gave extra privacy from the neighbors. Inside the house there was plenty of bedrooms, seating and space to spread out. The kitchen was fully stocked. There were a few negatives during our stay. First, when we walked in there was an overwhelming smell of perfume throughout the house. It was so strong and not my favorite scent. We realized it was from the air fresheners put throughout the house. They were everywhere, some where plug-ins that were very powerful. We just unplugged them for our stay and it was better the next day, however, the lower level with three of the bedrooms had a strong musty smell. In addition, the sheets and mattress protector in one bedroom downstairs had stains on them, so we had to wash them first. Overall the location, views, outside area, main level and loft area were great, but the downstairs level could use updating if you are charging that high of a rental rate.
