About this property
Captain's Quarters—Covington Home Away From Home!
Summary:
Welcome to Captain’s Quarters—where historic charm meets modern comfort! Built in the late 1800s, this beautifully restored home blends the rich heritage of Kentucky—horses, steamboats, and the bourbon trail—with today’s conveniences. Enjoy a well-stocked bar in the living room for mixing up your favorite drinks and a game room in the basement with an air hockey table and an arcade machine featuring 400+ games!
Located just four walkable blocks from Mainstrasse Village and its fantastic restaurants and bars, you’re also only 1.4 miles from downtown Cincinnati, accessible via the scenic Roebling Bridge. This home is professionally cleaned and the linens are commercially laundered and pressed before each stay, ensuring a spotless and comfortable experience.
The Space:
Step into history with this 1891-built masterpiece, featuring original woodwork, crown molding, intricate plaster medallions, and exposed brick in the kitchen. The original hardwood floors add warmth and character to every room.
Sleeping Arrangements:
Two king bedrooms upstairs for luxurious comfort
Third bedroom with two Twin XL beds—perfect for kids or friends
A "hidden" staircase connects the third bedroom to the dining room, adding a touch of adventure!
Outdoor Space:
8-foot picnic table for group dining
Soft outdoor lighting for evening relaxation
Space for lawn games to enjoy the fresh air
Entertainment:
Commercial air hockey table & classic arcade machine (400+ games) in the basement
Multiple Smart TVs for streaming your favorites
Fast WiFi throughout the home
A Note on Trains:
At the end of the street, you’ll find a small park, basketball court, and playground. A railroad track runs nearby, and while many guests enjoy watching the trains pass, light sleepers may hear occasional train noise. We provide a white noise machine in the bedrooms for added comfort.
Guest Access:
Entire Home Access: Guests have exclusive access to the whole house, including the basement game room and backyard.
Self Check-In Made Easy:
Smart lock entry with a personalized code
Detailed check-in instructions sent 5 days before arrival (after rental agreement & ID verification)
