Nice, but a few problems

Overall, our stay at this cabin was ok, but there were a few problems. Firstly, one of the windows on the lower level had been broken by prior renters. It was covered by a trash bag. This is not exactly comforting considering it was near ground level. Also, the floor on the lower level was very uneven. It would be a very easy place to roll an ankle. These were things that could easily be dealt with. The real issue is that we had multiple problems with the water. It went out in the afternoon of our second day there. The maintenance gentleman came and fixed it within the hour and showed my husband what to do if this happened again. It went out again on our last day there and my husband was able to fix it temporarily. It stopped working again before we left for our planned hike that day. We reached out to the rental office again and they sent maintenance again. At nearly the end of an 8 mile hike, I received a call from the office to let us know that they would be unable to fix the water issue that day. This would leave us without running water for the rest of that day and night, and the morning we would be leaving. We managed by purchasing several jugs of water from a local dollar store, wet wipes so that we could at least clean up a bit (8 mile hike) and did our best. There was no offer of any sort of help or compensation from the rental agency or the owner. The cabin itself was nice enough, although there were no window coverings. I would be hesitant to stay there again, or to rent from this same agency again.

Overall

Enjoyed the cabin, scenery, jacuzzi. Nice, well equipped kitchen. Need to install better shower rod in bath..fell down twice. Also need to have a page in the book explaining how to operate the heat/air unit remote.
