Perfect!

We had an excellent stay here! The location was great - in between 2 trolley lines and close to bars, restaurants, and cafes on St Charles Ave. We were easily able to explore the French Quarter, Audubon Park, and the Garden District. The mansion was beautiful as was the apartment! Check in was easy - Christian emailed specific instructions the day of arrival. Wifi was good- my daughter was able to do her class via video conferencing without any issues. It was well stocked - nice bath products and items in the kitchen for ease of cooking. Beds were comfortable - master bedroom was huge! We also appreciated access to the laundry in the basement. Parking was free and easy on the street. The balcony was our favorite place in the evenings! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends!

host cancelled

Thirty minutes before checkin time the host notified me that the property was not available due to a maintenance issue. i had landed at the airport with nowhere to go. This was an expensive inconvenience as i had to scramble to find last minute accommodations.

Place could use some fresh updates

I am a vacation club owner, so that is my baseline expectation. This place worked out okay but overall I wasn't too impressed. The place looked tired; furniture has been over used and needs replaced or updated. Felt conscientious of people hearing us below as the floors squeaked with our steps, also sharing the one bath got to be tight (i admit I knew it only had one bath) and the shower drain was slow so you stood in ankle deep water while showering. Patio furniture seemed uncared for and definitely weather beaten... Location was a alright in that it was near the trolley but the rest of the block gave me pause at times. It was safe in the end , and clean, but I expected a higher standard. It all boils down to expectations doesn't it? just know what your standard is and know that pricing is reflected in it!

Great spot!

This place was the perfect spot for our New Orleans getaway. Accommodations are lovely and decor is charming. Beds are comfy to get a good nights sleep after days spent walking, eating and drinking all around town. We walked to Magazine, to the Warehouse district, to the Quarter. And strolled down St Charles admiring all the beautiful homes and gardens. We will be staying here again!

Great rental with a lot of style!

We loved staying here. The owner immediately responded to any concerns we had. It's one block from St. Charles, so we could walk to get a bottle of wine and snacks. We were also able to walk to dinner, to the WW ll museum and to the cemetery for a tour. Both beds are super comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The patio is perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. It was big enough for a family of four. I'd highly recommend staying here!

Pristine and Chic

Beautiful renovations to this property! The beds were more comfortable than my own at home!! Linens so soft, clean and comfortable. Great balcony for relaxing and people watching! Christain is super responsive and so helpful! We had a party of four - me, my husband, 16 year old son and 73 year old mom. We had a ball!

Perfect apartment for small family getaway

The apartment is lovely and perfectly located. Steps away from the St. Charles streetcar line. Fun balcony to sip your morning coffee and evening cocktails. Much better value than staying at a hotel. Lots of lovely, lively local pubs and restaurants along St. Charles within easy walking distance We’d love to return!

Very comfortable stay in the Garden District

The condo was very nicely decorated and very clean and comfortable. Only one short block to the streetcar. We had everything we needed and more for a great stay. I look forward to coming back!

Great house in a good location!

The house was beautiful and was very convenient to the streetcar line. Entry to the unit was easy and the property is very secure. Christian was easy to work with and available for questions.

Central location to all of NOLA

Four adults stayed 4 nights. The home steeped in NOLA history, had one large king bedroom, one small queen. Lots of closet space and updated features throughout. The kitchen was fully stock with necessary food prep needs (not the food). The balcony was being updated but added additional space. The location was secure and quiet for being on a busy thoroughfare. Access to the St Charles streetcar and Lyft rides made it easy to get around the city. Lots of great restaurants and siteseeing within walking distance. There were minor issues with garbage disposal, door lock, and shower handle but are common maintenance problems that I'm sure Christian will address. One factor that was not disclosed was that tenets are required to climb stairs which for some renters could be prohibitive. Otherwise, it was a clean and comfortable stay for the price point.

Nice Location

Louisiana Luxe is a very nice location if you're planning a trip to New Orleans and want to be close to the action, but don't want to stay in the touristy French Quarter area. The rental was in a very nice neighborhood and walking distance to Magazine Street and a very short ride away from the French Quarter, Bourbon Street and Frenchman Street. The owner met us at the residence. He was very nice and gave a short overview of the home, neighborhood and suggestions on nearby restaurants. There are also nice slippers available for guests. As we began settling into Louisiana Luxe we did encounter a few drawbacks. - We were staying for 3 nights and realized there were only two full sets of towels. For two guests. There is no washer/dryer available. I did message the owner and he said additional sets were in the closet. We could not find them. - It seemed as if the residence hadn't been rented in a while. Even though the owner told us that the cleaning service had just left, there were quite a few dead flies on the window sills, in the bathrooms and on one of the beds. - The unit has clearly been updated. The kitchen and bathroom are very nice, but there are some areas that seems to have been overlooked. Overall, the location is nice. I've traveled to New Orleans before and will again. This is the first time I used a VRBO. Next time I'll go back to staying in hotels.

Perfect location , perfect accommodations

This apartment was a great New Orleans experience. Literally steps from the trolley, sweet little restaurants for breakfast within a few blocks. We were there in March and having wine on the porch was so fun! The kitchen and bath are well done and modernized. The beds were comfortable. Love it and would definitely return.

Ron and I enjoyed our stay very much at the condo -- the location is perfect, the unit itself pristine, very well decorated and inviting, we enjoyed the wonderful treat left by Christian for us -- so thoughtful. The process of access was easy and we certainly will make it our NOLA place to stay. Adrienne
