Located right next to ferry terminal. Beautiful outer deck to watch the sun set. Mayne island is peaceful and quiet, best beach we found was Campbell Bay Beach.

This very private spacious cottage was convenient and well appointed with an amazing view and yard. Walking distance to the ferry.
The property is great and has all things needed for a relaxing and wonderful vacation, great deck to enjoy meals and the spectacular view, espcially enjoyed watching the family of sea otters at sunset!! The fenced yard was auch a great addition allowing us to enjoy having our dogs with us without worry. The hikes and brewery on the Island were also very much enjoyed. Irene was a great host and quick to respond to our inquiries!! Thanks for a great relaxing vacation!
We stayed for 10 days at this spacious cabin. We spent much of our time in the wide room overlooking Village Bay. When the weather was right we moved to the patio. Sunsets were often special.
We especially like the extra wide bathroom counter with plenty of room for our stuff.
The kitchen was more than adequate.
Mayne Island is a place to get away busy city life.
The cottage is spacious, clean and lovely. It has everything you could need to cook at home, including a bar b q on the back deck. It was quiet, peaceful and the fully fenced yard provided a safe space for our dog. The large windows bring in lots of light and the closed in porch suggests that retreats in bad weather could also be enjoyed because of the great ocean view and large windows.
Mayne Island boasts its own brewery, parks, some excellent local food venues and lots of interesting history. Locals are very friendly.
Cottage is private and cozy even being close to the ferry terminal. We came for rest and rejuvenation and got that and more. Views from the large deck, sundeck and staircase down to the water are breathtaking and you will be hard pressed to leave. Cottage furnishings are comfortable, well appointed decor with attention to detail. We saw seals, otters, birds of every sort and whales. Irene and Bob were attentive to our needs and provided helpful details and reminders upon arrival and departure. Island paradise served in a comfortable setting.
We were so pleased with the large space and location of this cottage. And everything you could want in the kitchen for cooking at home, including condiments, oil, etc. etc. So thoughtful and helpful. It was wonderful to have a fully fenced area for our dog, who greatly enjoyed all the new smells, and adventures to some of the beaches.
We had two very good lunches at the Mayne Resort, and the cinnamon cronuts at the bakery are addictive.
Irene was a pleasure to communicate with, and quickly responded to a couple of minor issues.
We had a very relaxing time….and did see several whales cavorting and spouting one day. A treat.
Had a wonderful week stay here. The house is spacious bright and clean. Fantastic views from all the main rooms. Sun room, large deck and patio are gems. Beach combing at low tide right from the yard was a morning ritual for us. Best beach for swimming was Campbell Bay with Bennett Bay being best for paddling as you can rent from the Lodge there. Not on some maps, but the best trail is at St. John Point but a walk through Mount Parke is a must as well. Wasn't in the cards for me, but I was wishing I had my bike to explore the island! The grocery store is well stocked. Be sure to check out the Japanese Gardens and spend a couple of hours at the brewery one day.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this property. There is wonderful preparation from the owners with very detailed communication about the inner workings of the place, it is very easy to find and when you walk through the front door, the view over the ocean simply takes your breath away. We spent hours playing games, listening to music and simply reading in this beautiful setting. It was perfect for four adults and they allow animals with a lovely backyard that is enclosed. Our relatives from the UK were blown away by both the quality and the situation of the home and we had such a wonderful time. I can't recommend the owners and the house highly enough. We had a wonderful time on this lovely island. Thanks so much.
This pretty cottage is in such a great location on the island. Beside the ferry terminal and in a little bay where you can watch boats, whales, seals and otters. The cottage is in close proximity to the main village for stores and restaurants which make it very convenient. Inside the cottage it’s really well appointed and has everything for a cosy stay. Very quiet peaceful and quiet.
