About this property
Old Florida Peaceful Retreat, Short Walk to Beach ~ Oceans of Time
As the great Jimmy Buffett put it in one of his most recent releases, “Oceans of time will wash on by, Ebb and flowing through our lives, Why should we hurry the tide, You and I only have oceans of time.” Try slowing things down a bit, and escape to a place where it's just you and the ocean. The epitome of off-the-beaten-path sits a unique family beach home nestled quietly between Old Florida Palms & Pines.
Oceans of Time is a three-bedroom, single-family home reminiscent of days gone by. Located on Indian Pass, the sunset beams brighter, and the beach seems to belong to only you. Within a very short drive, you can launch your boat into the deep gulf waters or hop on a ferry shuttling you across the pass to St. Vincents Island. In the other direction, you’ll be slurping fresh oysters at the Indian Pass Raw Bar in no time, located within just minutes from the property. The community boardwalk leads you through a nature trail landing you on a quiet beach ideal for sunbathing, shelling, shore fishing, and crabbing.
There are several unique qualities to enjoy while vacationing in this vintage beach home. When you arrive at the home, you’ll notice the screened-in space under the house designed for family cookouts or evening card games. Around the beachside of the house is a cool, tile-wall outdoor shower. Upstairs at the main entrance is an open deck for morning coffee. Inside the home, the living level is arranged on one floor with the kitchen, dining, living room, and bedrooms wrapping around almost in a circle around the center of the home. The central focal point is a winding staircase that leads to the top floor lookout. Legends exist about what that lookout was used for at the home’s prime. Today, let your imagination run wild and create your own stories and memories.
Why should we hurry the tide? You and I only have oceans of time. ~ Jimmy Buffett
