Plenty of space and Central Austin location!

The house had plenty of space for everyone, although the beds under the stairs are a little quirky. The house was clean and simply furnished. Communication with the owners was easy and they responded promptly to our only concern.

Nice House- poor AC

House has two AC units, one works fine the other couldn’t hold temp below 76 and would go up to 80 degrees during heat of the day. Rooms were good, but one of the rooms is falsely labeled as a room. It’s twin beds in an open cubby under the stairs

Relaxing

The modern city feel of this property was just amazing. The layout of the property was just great for my family and friends. The vibe of the house was very chic and modern and the cleanliness of the property was just a great feeling to walk into. Can’t wait to rent this place out again.

Sweep your own Cockroaches!

We were greeted by over 11 cockroaches throughout the house and a floor so filthy our feet turned black. The fifth bedroom wasn't an actual bedroom, it's a concrete slab next to the door to the garage with a 4in mattress on it. There was broken glass in the cabinet, dirty dishes in the dish washer, molding coffee grounds, and that's just the start. Don't bother with this home. There are better places to stay in Austin!

Read Reviews Carefully

Location itself was good, driveway and parking situation...not good. There are NOT 5 rooms, there are 4 and a 'Harry Potter' nook under the stairs that has no air flow, is off the garage door, no outlets, and the lights down there didn't work. We couldn't put people down there to sleep so I had to send 2 people to a hotel instead. Fans were there, but no extension cords, had to Instacart one... All floors were filthy, we ended up going to buy slippers to wear in the house. They had been vacuumed, but not mopped and the bottom of our feet were black. Lacking supplies for wiping down counters in the kitchen like Clorox wipes, which we purchased on our own. The 3 room primary was a sitting area, bed area, closet and bathroom. Air mattress provided didn't stay inflated, there goes another sleeping area. Pull-out couch was very uncomfortable. Dryer doesn't work on any setting other than low. We dried towels 3x on high and they were still wet. Tried on low and it worked. One of the TVs upstairs doesn't work. Queen bed headboard with the wood slats is broken and they all move around. Shower in master is slow to drain. 2 cockroaches were found and killed. We contacted Austin Vacay and they said they would bring some lightbulbs the next day for the Harry Potter nook, but none ever came. The prior reviews were accurate. I figured they may not be valid any longer, but they still reflect the state of the house to this day.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and we were pleased.

The house was very nice for starters. The space was perfect. There is a lot of stairs to carry your luggage up, but we are athletes and that wasn't a problem. We were in town for the UFC event, we had an athlete fighting on the card, so the location was perfect in terms of how far we were from the venue and the fighter hotel. We had issues with the fire alarms the first 2 nights, they all went off simultaneously at 5 am, the landlord sent someone to fix them after it happened the second night. The stove was tricky to use, we spent forever tying to figure out how to get it to work. We would get one burner on and then the other wouldn't turn on. We figured out it would only get hot if a skillet was on the burner, but one of the skillets we were using was not being read by the sensors, so it wouldn't work. That stove needs a manual, lol, it was too smart for me I guess. I'd also recommend some dressers in the master bedroom, I like to unpack my clothes and all we had were hangers in the closet, That's great, but I like to use a dresser for things like underwear, sports bras and training clothes, which I always have. So a dresser would have been more convenient. Also the water in the master bedroom didn't get as hot as I would have liked. The tub is amazing, but the water only got to Lukewarm. Overall things were great and i would recommend this place again everyone I was with was very pleased. It seemed that the house was new and it smelled new, so I hope my review can help for the next guest. Enjoy and thank you to our Host!

Price gouged property lacks in basic amenities

We came here as a family for our son's college graduation. The rate was quite inflated for the weekend but we needed a larger place to accommodate all of us and this appeared to be nice place given the photos here. While it is a newer spacious property, there are some things that need to be addressed before I'd consider recommending it to anyone. There are enough towels, fresh bed linens, new enough beds not yet in need of replacing and wallmounted soap/shampoo dispensers in all of the showers. You can easily hear the highway noise from I-35 but it was of a white noise variety that did not interfere with sleep. However, the newish induction stove top was defective. I was only able to get the large middle "burner" to work if I continuously pressed down on the pot there. It took about 20 mins to hard boil a few eggs this way. None of the other "burners" worked at all. I wrote mgmt about this and was told they'd send maintenance man to check it out. He did not come while we were there. It needs to be replaced as it's defective. All of the pots and pans are induction capable so it wasn't that. Also, there's a nice double oven there but there is zero bakeware there. This leaves the microwave as the only option for (re)heating food which puts this amenity on the same level as a Super 8 Motel. The downstairs sleeping area near the garage is stuffy w no airflow, no outlets and required stacking cardboard boxes and other materials to block a highly annoying intermittent blinking bright elevator button light. We tried moving one of the twin mattresses to the second floor common area but it appeared to be glued down, so we left it alone. I requested a partial refund but received no response.

Decent, but bizarre

This place was just, well, bizarre. Communication was good and very responsive, but the overall feel of the stay was strange. The house was like a show house, that was never intended to be lived in. The dryer vented directly into the wall (with no exhaust), so we couldn't do laundry. The host did offer to pay for a few loads at a wash/dry however. The furniture was all brand new, but not really put together well. I had to tighten all the screws on the bedframe so it wouldn't wobble and squeak, as well as the screws on the chairs in the kitchen. The kitchen had all new appliances and equipment, but it was very bare bones, with no courtesy oil or salt, etc. The bed under the stairs is a bizarre room that opens into the garage with no power outlets or place for luggage; it's not really a room. The location is fine, though we did have a bike stolen out of the garage while we were in the house. So, not bad, just weird. Maybe because we were one of the first stays.

Newer large home in Great area! Minutes to downtown!

A group of seven of us stay there for a work convention and really enjoyed it! We took the scooters back to the house one night which was really fun! Overall the condition was great and we will definitely consider staying there again in the future when we visit from Florida!
