Payment/Refund Policy: Unless otherwise stated on the property listing, all payments are non-refundable, however, should the guest elect to cancel its reservation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner of the property to reopen the dates of the reservation in attempt to re-book the property (please note the decision to reopen dates is the owners'). Should Marquis be successful in re-booking the property for the original dates at the same or higher price than the original reservation, a refund less a 20% penalty, calculated as 20% on the total reservation amount, will be issued to the guest once payment is collected in full for the new reservation. If a new reservation is not made, the guest may use the property for the dates of its original reservation so long as payments have been made in accordance with the payment schedule established at the time of booking and Marquis is notified in writing 72 hours or more prior to the start of the reservation.

Payment Method: Balance payments made with credit card are capped at $3,500. Payments over $3,500 shall be made by check, ACH or wire.

Security Deposit Disclaimer: Although rare, accidental damage does happen during a stay. In lieu of a security deposit, guests can rest easy knowing that this property is covered with up to $5,000 of damage protection. Coverage details are provided in the booking agreement.

I would absolutely stay here again. The host was very responsive and available to answer questions. The accommodations are as shown on the listing and included everything we needed. The exterior terrace overlooking the water was a plus, we enjoyed sunrise and sunsets every day and walked down to the little quiet beach. Overall it was an amazing stay!

Waterfront Respite

Our sibling reunion selected this house for our gathering. We enjoyed being so close to the water, the deck with panoramic views, falling asleep to the sound of the waves, and the overall privacy of the location. The beds were very comfortable and the owners left us a sweet note & bottle of wine. There house has a lot of varied art and numerous decorative items, so if you're a minimalist, you might want to explore further. The furniture (both indoor and out) is a bit worn down (some cracked/stained), which was not evident in the listing photos. That said, we were so happy to be together and the location so enjoyable that we looked past all this. A wonderful retreat and getaway.

A beach house that is 20 feet away from the train station and next to a dilapidated house.

Let me begin with the listing that has no place that shows the proximity of the premise to the train rail which honks every hour when they pass the house despite the day and night.After we checked-in, turned up the heat since it’s quite cold this year in the North East, we were right away overwhelmed by dead mice smell from the toe kick heater that invaded the whole living room instantly. That’s when we decided to turn off the heater and turned on the heat pump. It scared us to look up and see the entire unit has been covered with black and green mold. The property manager did nothing but just defended that’s acceptable since it’s not meant to use for heat?!!! I wonder why it is called “heat pump”?! Next day, the police came knocked on our door asking if we had seen the suspect who had broken into the house next door. We then realised that just 10 feet away,the door house has been abandoned,therefore, people who jumped off the train can just make it their shelter. We contacted the property manager. They told us to stay put and lock all doors and windows. Despite our safety and health issue. They didn’t even help us to connect with the host or help us to find a new property for our year end vacation. We couldn’t sleep for 4 consecutive nights due to the train noise when they passed by, then hygiene and guest-readiness of the place in additional to the security of the property next door. This was totally a disaster for us! This house is absolutely not a recommended place.
