Nice Cabin !!

We enjoyed the cabin very much!! It was clean, and stocked with everything you could need. Was a little disappointed that the pool room was closed while we were there (hard to keep pre-teen kids entertained), but we did some exploring and found plenty to do in near by Gaylord. Overall this is a great cabin. Very comfortable, and tastefully decorated.

Harold's Hideaway getaway

What a relaxing stay! Woods, lakes, close to so many activities. The cabin is clean, cozy, and has everything you need for your stay. Beautifully quiet surroundings. Close to the bridge, UP, Petoskey, Traverse City, just to name a few. Highly recommend for a fun relaxing getaway.

Family vacation

The house was perfect for what our weekend getaway. Plenty of room for our family of five. The weather was not the best but we made it he best of it. When we did book the place it had nothing about the lakes of the north clubhouse being closed till mid August. (Not that it was the owner's fault we understand things get renovationed.)

Cute family getaway

Overall great stay and fun time with the family. Loved everything cozy cabin feel. Initially a little cold when arriving so you will have to put up the heat wish they were able to send someone there prior to our arrival to turn the heat on. Otherwise it’s a nice family space the kids enjoyed it!

Cute place and good amenities

Lovely spot, close to skiing and snowmobiling. The pool and hot tub is at the club house and cost $6 a day. It was a great and fun to have. The only negative is that i think this property would not hold more than 6 people. The bedrooms are small. Not a problem for us because our whole group did not come, but could be for other bigger groups. We also ran out of TP and paper towel and we only had 4 people. Not a complaint, just a comment! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this dog friendly property! Thanks Peltons!

The couches had dog hair on them. The downstairs bedroom also had dog hair on the comforter. Laundry was left in the dryer and the towels in the bathroom smelt moldy. Had to wash towels before taking showers. Food was left in fridge other than regular condiments.

Great small cabin

This is the perfect cabin for a small family comfortable sharing one bathroom. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and convenient to the beach at Lake Harold. Parking was ample for our two vehicles. The location is also conveniently close to dining and activities in the Gaylord, Jordan River Valley, and Mancelona area. The owners provided reliable DSL internet which worked well for both personal computing and streaming needs. Towels and linens were clean and plentiful. There is also a gas grill available for use, which works very well. The cabin is well shaded so it remains comfortable even in 90 degree weather (the owners provide fans and there are ceiling fans which help). The owners were very responsive to our questions and needs. The only downside is that there is only one bathroom. Otherwise this is a great little cabin for outdoor adventures in northern Michigan!

5804 Pineview Drive Elmira, Mi

We arrived at 6pm, driveway was covered in ice, pathway to the main entrance was narrow and slippery. Inside the cabin was 50 degrees and freezing cold, thermostats were set very low and some were turned off. All the beds were uncomfortable, none of us slept good. We booked the cabin for two nights but only stayed one night because we all agreed staying another night wasn’t worth it. Inside the cabin was updated nicely and clean, the walk-in tiled shower was good size. The down side was inside the main entrance there was stairs to go up to the main level and stairs leading down to the bathroom and all the bedrooms, not kid friendly.

Very lovely place to stay

I was very impressed with this property. The locations were family friendly, close to a beach and a indoor pool. The kids loved the slide in the pool. Staff at the pool was friendly. We went to the lake and did the paddle boats. It was $8 a hour for a non member. the kids had fun swimming and jumping off the paddle board. We went to two local restaurants that were about 15 min drive. I would recommend the Railside bar for their polish food and pizza, the perogies were amazing. I would recommend Forks for their burgers; they were amazing as well. Meijers is about a 18 min drive to pick up some goodies. The house was very homey. everything was lovely, along with he coffee bar they had set up for you. There was some left over wood we used to enjoy a campfire and they had marshmallow sticks we could use. This place has everything you need to enjoy a nice quite outdoor weekend with the family. we had 3 groups. a family of 3 and two families of two with two kids of the age of 8. They had a absolute blast. with the little trail that leads down to the water for a small little hike, we also took a 7 min walk down to the lake and did some swimming. Would definitely stay again.

Smaller Than Expected + pool closed

The cabin was smaller than expected for our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. The pool was down for maintenance the entire weekend, which was the main reason we chose this cabin. The kids were very disappointed. Luckily there was the sportscomplex in Gaylord as a back up. 25 min away. Arrival of the cabin the house was 50degrees BURR. . it took a couple hours for the house to feel comfortable at 65. The staircase has a wood railing that is NOT safe for kids. lots of stick pieces that seem to be coming loose. Tv was a little old and small for those looking to watch movies or sports like we were. The main living room needs more overhead lighting! It gets pretty dark once the sun goes down or on a cloudy day. Suggest bringing your own toilet paper if you want something better than single ply. Overall we enjoyed our time together as a family in the small cabin, We used the dining table to play cards and board games that we brought. The couches were comfortable and clean. Our bedrooms were maid up and clean with lots of blankets to stay warm. We did need to do a load of towels while we were there because we ran out clean ones.

Cozy Cabin

Pros: This is a very nice cabin with a fairly private setting. The cabin is fully stocked with dishes, games, towels, etc. Located close to the beach and playgrounds. The clubhouse access with the pool was a huge plus. The cabin is nicely decorated with reliable WiFi and having 3 bedrooms was perfect for our group of 5. There is no AC, but all the bedrooms are located in the basement so sleeping was still very cool and comfortable. Cons: There is a very small yard area in general and it appeared to not have been mowed once this year and it’s currently mid July. We had a 3 year old with us and the majority of the weeds were taller than he was. I was very disappointed in this since it truly limited any yard usage whatsoever. The only place weed free was the small fire pit area. The cabin did have an initial strong dog smell when entering, but it did fade as time went on. It is a bit smaller than what it looked like in pictures. It worked fine for our group of 5 with two vehicles, but a group any bigger may have felt crowded. Overall, we enjoyed the cabin quite a bit and all the amenities it had to offer, but it was hard to shake the disappointment over the overgrown weeds and setting.

Coziest cabin ever

This adorable cabin was exactly what I had envisioned. Everything was perfect, the location, the décor, even the game cabinet was stocked full of games that we all played together as a family. We all loved the nice clubhouse pool as well, that was a treat!

Cabin in the snowy woods

Needed a stress free weekend and going during the never ending lake effect storm seemed to be the perfect time. The cabin is quaint and the bedrooms are very snug. Beds are comfortable. There were some issues, that we messaged the owners about. The pool is about 2 minutes away, the slide wasn't working but my younger 2 didn't seem to mind. Be prepared that if you have more than 1 bag of garbage, you have to drive it to the golf course & pay to dispose of it. Overall, this cabin was just right for our family of 5 with our dog.

Decent

Pros: nice location, very close to lake, cool downstairs rooms which is nice since there doesn't seem to be AC, not great in the summer. The kitchen was very nice, has everything you need. Cons: Place smelled like wet dog and had bugs flying around everywhere, smell will away after a bit though. Place was smaller than it looked in the posting, it's decent for 2-3 adults at most.
