I've included all the little extras for you that we've appreciated on our travels. Breakfast supplies included in the rate are, home baked muffins, muesli, Uncle Toby's fruit/berry instant oats, milk, grain bread/toast, butter, spreads, tea and coffee. I've also stocked the freezer with homecooked meals for $10 a generously sized single serve. Many of these meals are recipes I've learnt when travelling through India, but there's a range offered. I also include a packet of wraps in the fridge so guests can use leftovers to fill and warm up a wrap for lunch. This means you can come without needing to shop or cook while you're here. You can completely relax!
'Banyandah' is a great option for one or two couples or a small family, who want a home to themselves, but don't want to pay for a large house. We also have another small separate bungalow on the property for singles or couples. See listing under "The Shack" South Durras.
Our central location on the village side of South Durras is ideal. Everywhere is just a few minutes easy walk. Cookies Beach over the road from us, is very safe for swimming. Murramurang Resort at the end of our street is good for a coffee, bar or takeaway meals or snacks and you can eat by the pool or in the bistro. It's also where the walks start to Murramurang National Park's unspoilt secluded beaches. There are several easy, short walks that reward you with a great beach, often all to yourself. We are also just down from the 'Durras Progress Hall' where you can enjoy casual yoga from yoga and dance teacher, Elise May.
Foodies can enjoy the wonderful cafes and eateries north of South Durras such as Saltwood Cafe at Bawley Point, Cupitt's Winery at Ulladulla, and Milk Haus at Milton. Euorbodalla Botanical Gardens has a great cafe too, now managed by the team from Mossy Point Cafe.
South Durras is the South Coast’s best kept secret, wonderfully low key and relaxing, a place to completely unwind. It is a unique village, completely surrounded by National Park and has resisted the push for development. It remains one of the last places that recall your childhood beach holidays. More than that, the unspoilt beaches and majestic forests of towering spotted gums are the place of an immensely important geological feature. You'll see intriguing rock formations rich in fossils reaching back to the ice ages and the effects of volcanic eruptions.
South Durras is located about 4 hours drive south of Sydney on the Princes Hwy. It is also 2 hours from Canberra.
