Our stunning 6-bedroom luxurious lakefront log home is on Lake Couchiching. Located in the town of Orillia, it is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the City. We are conveniently located close to Casino Rama, Amigo beach, and Tudhope Park.

The open-concept design on the main level is flooded with natural light thanks to the cathedral ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that offer spectacular views of the lake and picturesque sunsets. We have a paddle boat and kayaks.
The space
The kitchen offers all the amenities of home including modern, stainless steel appliances and a huge pantry with all your basic essentials.

Features: Cathedral ceiling, Leather couches, Antique coffee table, Flat screen TV with Chromecast, stereo and CD player with Yamaha surround-sound system. We have a game room with a ping pong, air hockey and pool table.

The kitchen opens up to the dining area with a beautiful, large wooden table that can accommodate eight people. The living room is bright and spacious with ample, lush sofas for the entire group to relax and unwind. The room also offers a wood-burning fireplace and a flat screen TV with Chromecast HD TV.

The Cottage has six bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The master bedroom is located on the main floor with a 5-piece ensuite, stunning air jacuzzi bathtub, custom-made log-style King bed with built in walk in closet. On the second floor, there are three large bedrooms, two of which have queen beds with balconies, a third with bunk beds as well as a twin bed. There is a 5-piece bathroom with a jacuzzi tub in the hallway. In the basement we have two bedrooms with queen beds and bathroom located in the hallway with bathtub and shower.

The basement offers an entertainment room equipped with game room with big screen TV. The basement has a walkout to the backyard. The backyard features a stunning stone deck and patio, perfect for lounging on in the summer! We are close to shops, cafe’s, restaurants, movies and attractions. It is a perfect getaway for up to 16 people and only an hour and half hour drive from Toronto. Lounge on the dock or go for a dip in the lake, take the paddle boat out or the canoes for a fun adventure on the lake. Friends and families can enjoy outdoor activities, firepit, sauna without even leaving the property. There are a plethora of activities in the area within minutes of the Cottage, including golf courses, miles of hiking/biking trails, skiing, snowmobiling, ATV trails and more.

A truly relaxing and unforgettable getaway awaits you! Outdoor Cameras are on premises. Brand new fire pit and sauna.

A beautiful spacious home. We stayed at the Lazy Bear for a seadoo weekend with 5 couples. The location was perfect the property is on a small inlet that is calm and we were able to keep our seadoos docked and protected from a wild storm that blew in. The cottage exceeded our expecation it is fabulous and has everything you would ever need and more.

Beautiful Thanksgiving Weekend

Our host was very flexible, responsive and nice. The property was beautiful. One neighbour was SO close, it felt a bit like a compound. But the neighbours were not bothering us at all. The location was on a marsh like river. A bit too shallow and very muddy. But walking distance away from a little beach. Very close to Weber’s and many grocery stores. Super accessible. Lots of games and water toys. Very good and practical kitchen (even for a turkey dinner). Well equipped. Great bbqs. Gorgeous views.

Awesome Log Cabin Getaway

Our group of six adults had an amazing long weekend at the Lazy Bear log cabin. The location is easily accessible from the highway and has everything you might need within a short drive. The cabin itself really exceeded our expectations and had more than enough space for everyone both inside and out. Really enjoyed having the paddleboat/kayaks and the large dock area was perfect for relaxing and hanging out with friends. Would definitely recommend this property to any group

Amazing place for family

We stayed at the Lazy Bear log home in December and the beauty of the home with the Christmas decorations was stunning. We wanted rest and relaxation and we certainly got that. Everything about this log home is as advertised and we were thoroughly impressed. My family is now planning a second stay as soon as we can. Imane was a wonderful host and easily contacted. I highly recommend this place and thank Imane for a wonderful stay.

The property met expectations. It was as advertised. We would rent here again. There were some outside lights that didn’t work and the TVs didn’t have a cable hookup (streaming only). But these were minor issues.

Not for Swimming

Property excellent but can't swim in swamp. Cannot swim at residents park - 5 minute walk. Floated out 100 yards & still weeds were very close to surface. Orillia has excellent parks with swimming. Therefore listing is misleading. Kids very disappointed because have to wait for adults to drive.

Spectacular home

Memorable family vacation. We were 12….ages 3 to 68. My little 5 year old grandson said he never wanted to leave. His life was complete….he could fish and hunt toads all day and NO ONE ever had to leave. All life long dreams fulfilled for this precious boy….and everyone in between felt as fulfilled seeing life through his eyes. Blessings of the day included catching first fish…cooking s’mores….naming toads….pool games…paddle boats and kayak adventures…warm hot tubs…and cousins being together. What more could we ever want in this busy crazy world. Memories to last a life time. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with our family.

Wonderful cabin on the water

This is a beautiful well equipment 'log cabin' style property on the water. Everything is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. My only suprise was that I was expecting to be able to swim off the dock but the water was very swampy. I didn't even let my dog swim in it, but we very much enjoyed the boats in the calm inlet. We spent lots of time hanging on the new dock as well which got lots of sun. The house itself is very large, well kept, and had most of the necessities for a good stay. I brought groceries and cooked most dinners there. The kitchen is large and well stocked, but I have a couple of suggestions that would make it better: -water filtration system - only tap water was available and it tasted like chlorine so I found myself drinking less water -better quality baking pans and frying pans - most were in rough shape and likely had low quality non-stick coatings which made me hesitant to use (esp given I was pregnant during my stay) -there are two nice BBQs but the grease trap was completely full on one (we emptied it after there was a small grease fire) and the propane tank was empty on the second as was the backup propane tank. Overall these are minor issues that did not significantly disrupt my stay. The host was very responsive including regarding an issue about checking in. I would recommend this rental for family gatherings and relaxing time away.

Log Home Was Grand

The place looks grand, both outside and inside. Some of the amenities needed some TLC The kitchen fridge was almost completely stocked with left overs from previous users, leaving very little room for a group of 12 people. Some of the utensils were either broken or cheaply made, most of the knifes were not sharp enough to cut or chop, the dishes had seen better days and the nonstick pots and pans were over used. A couple of the chairs in the dinner table were so wobbly, they could not be used. I had to use my own tools to fix one of them, the second one could not be fixed. There were six bedrooms, the master bedroom was great the rest not so much, some had no closets or even a dresser. One of the bathroom's bathtubs was not working at all and another was in the master bedroom, with four small children it was chaos at bath time. As I've said, the overall place really was grand, but a few changes would have made our stay more pleasant. When we arrived, the hot tub was running and set at a very high temperature (at 130 F) , it took four days for it to cool down enough to use it, The sump pump was always running and there was steam coming out of the sump pit. I had to adjust the float on the pump to get it stop running. The games and entertainment provided were great, including the the boats outside and there was plenty of wood for the fire pit.

40th birthday

Great location less than 90 minutes from the GTA. Spacious house with 6 large bedrooms. Great Sauna, hot tub, fire pit and backyard. Paddle boat, kayaks in good condition. Wrap around large deck. Huge bbq. Plenty of towels for indoor and outdoor use. Great family trip in this unique property right on the water. Great communication with owner with speedy replies. Definitely coming back.
