My husband and I stayed here over a weekend to celebrate our anniversary. It was cozy, comfortable, and such a great location. Rebecca was an excellent host, she was in contact before, during, and after our stay. Highly recommend this stay to all :)
My husband, myself and our baby had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The water was beautiful, it was perfect for our sweet baby to sit and splash! The amenities were exactly as described and the cabin clean. Don't be deterred by the lack of AC, the cabin is sheltered by trees and the cabin was perfect temperature!
It was a perfect stay. The check in process was clear und the contact with the landlady always quick and polite. The location is ideal too. Very recommanded!
We spent 6 days in the house at the end of August.
Wonderful and clean cottage, very quiet place. Comfortable bed, all necessary for cooking.
There are neighbors to the right and left, but the place is private, so any problems. To swim in the lake you have to walk about 150 meters in the water, so we didn't swim, but the water is clean.
There are smallmouth bass to fishing.
Close to the Algonquin park.
Would love to stay again.
Our experience was exactly what we were hoping for. Cute and cozy one bedroom log cabin, great deck for outdoor living space, bunkie that we didnt need, and a nice private beach on beautiful Carson Lake. It was the quintessential cottage experience..
Out host Rebecca was quick to respond to any inquiry we had prior to our visit and during, and gave us an information package for checkin that was so well done.
The cottage is well stocked with everything you need and is far enough from Hwy 60 you dont hear it, but close enough that you're on your way in a couple mins.
We have no hesitation in recommending the host and the property to anyone. If we're ever in the area again, we will stay here in a heartbeat.
Indonan annual trip with a couple friends. This was our second year at this cottage and it was just as we remembered. Very clean, lake is fresh, very comforable. Can't wait for next year!
Cozy and quiet with a beautiful view of the lake from inside or even better, right from the private little beach area. We really enjoyed taking the canoe out and exploring the surroundings from the water. Great little getaway spot. Thanks.
Rebecca was a wonderful host! The cabin was clean and tidy. There are neighbours on both sides but there's enough trees in between that it still feels nice and private! We really enjoyed taking the canoe out on the lake early mornings! Definitely recommend this place for a couple or a small group!
Nice little cottage with parking for large atv trailer. (27 fr. )Clean , well stocked, only thing missing for us was a tv . Plenty of puzzles, games to enjoy. Enjoyed the patio and lake.very quiet area. close to atv trail about a km down the road. Atv friendly area , enjoyed the cottage and area very much. Rebecca was very accommodating
We had a great stay at the cabin in some pretty hot weather, and the cabin stayed lovely and relatively cool throughout the entire trip as it was covered in shade. The fans and windows, etc worked perfectly and helped move the breeze.
Being able to take a nightly swim in the lake made it a great way to cool down.
We spent most of our stay onsite, enjoying the lake and bonfire. We paddled out a few times with the provided canoe and life jackets, and there were several times that we had wished that we had a fishing pole (with license) as the lake seems well stocked with Small Mouth Bass.
The cabin is located in a perfect spot that is close to anything that you might like to do. 45min-1hr from East Gate, and only 10min to Barry's Bay if you happened to forget anything, or want to explore town and read through the local history
The cabin however, came fully stocked with any items AND MORE that you might think of. Books, an abundance of boardgames, all kitchen items that you could need, and even ice trays for the freezer.
Only reason for the singular 4 star, was because we did encounter a problem at the cabin from a previous guest. HOWEVER, with a quick message to Rebecca that was close by, the issue was resolved within a matter of hours. Definitely a fluke issue, that was easily solved with a simple text.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves in the stay and it was nice to be in quiet and recharge.
Came here to get out of the city to relax and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Very lovely area and the cabin was large, clean and just the right amount of rustic. Everything looks even better in person, would recommend to a friend!
Great for two people. The cabin is very small and the bunkie is not heated, so for this time of year (end of September) it is perfect for two. We enjoyed it very much.
Had a weekend getaway with my husband and 2 young boys. We opened the door to a lovely, CLEAN, rustic cottage where everything was set up custom just for us. The beach, with its long shallow decent into beautiful, clear Carson Lake was the spot where we spent most of our time. Took the boys out on the provided canoe where the lake was quiet and serene. Our host was also top notch…very pleasant to deal with and accommodating. Can’t wait to book for next year!
This property is absolutely stunning! We had so much fun I actually couldn't wait to write a review for it. Our cottage was right at the lake so it was convenient to go swimming and take the boat out for fishing. The property was well kept, clean and Rebecca thought out everything we needed. A drive to the town was only 5 minutes away in case we needed anything as well. I am saving this property to come again next year :)
This may not be everyone's cup of tea but it definitely was ours. Just 4 Moms needing to get away. It was everything we needed and the beach was the best place to hang!! Cutest cottage ever. We'll remember this place for futures getaways.
We had a restful time at this quaint cabin on Carson Lake. Great place for a couple or family with kids ( bunkie beside cabin). The place was clean and the lake was good for canoeing and swimming.
