The space
3 spacious bedrooms, all have comfortable queen size beds with duvets. The primary bedroom features a 2-piece ensuite bathroom. There is a 3-piece bathroom with a tub/shower located on the main floor.
Fully stocked kitchen, with basic condiments, coffee & tea.
Comfortable common area, with floor to ceiling windows bring the outdoors inside. A beautiful wood stove for extra cozy evenings. The cottage is 4 season with a furnace, baseboard heaters and woodstove. Fans in each bedroom for warmer summer nights.
Private workspace (with a door!) in primary bedroom for work/school days. Reliable Bell wifi and cell service.
Board games, puzzles and smart tv for lazy days.
Bonfire pit, brand new Weber BBQ and large sauna to enjoy all year.
Screened in porch with comfortable sectional sofa and dining table for bug-free meals (Spring/Summer/Fall).
We are located on a municipal, paved road for year-round access.
Please bring beach towels and lifejackets to ensure proper fit (we have 2 adult size and 1 child, 1 infant)
Spring:
The dock is put back in the water and the canoe and kayaks re-emerge. Screened-in porch furniture comes out of storage -just in time to keep those bugs away.
Summer:
As we are lakefront, you'll have access to our canoe, two kayaks and our amazing extra large water mat during your stay. Water is clear and calm, great swimming and fishing right off the dock. Miles of lake to explore. 2 adult lifejackets, 2 child ones (please bring your own to ensure proper fit).
Fall:
The area is not only gorgeous, but quieter in fall. Take in the fall colours in autumn sitting at the dock, in the screened in porch, or on your hikes. You may notice the lake water lower than it is in the summer. The lake is dam-controlled and some of our water is used to help support other waterways.
Winter:
The snow is stunning on the lake. A simple walk on our quiet road is breathtaking after a snowfall. Ski at Sir Sam’s just north of Haliburton in 25min. A vast network of snowmobile trails in the area. Cross country ski and tobogganing @Glebe park in 10min.
Snow removal service clears driveway. Road is paved and municipally maintained.
Guest access
Municipal road maintained all year round, driveway is easy to navigate. 4 parking spots. 10min from Haliburton for all your conveniences. 25 min from Sir Sam's. Close to local hiking and mountain biking trails.
Other things to note
Our stairs to the lake are rustic (earth and wood). It's not a steep climb but could be a slow-going if you have mobility concerns.
Indoor of cottage not suitable for infants, we have open tread staircase to second floor and a woodstove.
