Once here, you will quickly understand that this place was never meant to be rented and has the deliberate feel of a cozy family retreat. Our 5,000 sq.ft. beach house is nestled on a wooded dune with 100' of secluded sandy Lake Michigan beach (private). Enjoy relaxing, socializing or private time on the oversized, wrap around front porch and watch the sunset. This will probably be the place that you spend the most time. There are 3 Master Suites, 1 on each floor for maximum privacy. Each has its own full bathroom. There are also three additional bedrooms with a shared bath for more guests. The main floor has an open, well-stocked, gourmet kitchen, a dining and living room with a gas fireplace. The lower level has a brand new (2012) Media/Game Room with a large flat screen tv, a Professional ping pong table and a Golden Tee Video game.

Walk across a ravine by footbridge on the property, go down 75 steps and you are on beautiful Lake Michigan.

The western Michigan town of Montague -- which shares the shores of White Lake and Lake Michigan with the Whitehall township -- offers plenty of outdoor tourist attractions; these include numerous lakeside beaches and parks. Montague traces its history to 1812 and hosts a selection of cultural artifacts and oddities. Travelers might visit numerous additional attractions in Whitehall, about a mile away.
Those looking for lakeside activities -- such as boating, fishing, hiking and water sports -- need look no further than Maple Grove Park, sunbather-friendly Medbury Park or the municipal boat-launch on Ramp Road. Meinert Park offers 67 campsites overlooking Lake Michigan and the Little Flower Creek. The inland Montague Township Park provides a quiet place for baseball games, picnics and family activities. Golfers can tee off at Montague's Old Channel Trail Golf Course, a 27-hole public venue with an on-site driving range and golf shop.
Culture and Entertainment
The Montague City Museum on Meade Street displays local cultural artifacts and relics from the logging industry. Also included is a dress worn by Nancy Ann Fleming, a former Miss America born in Montague. Dowling Street hosts the world's largest weathervane, which stands 48 feet high, spans 14 feet and weighs 4,300 lbs. On-Ramp Road, the Montague Band Shell is home to free live concerts every Tuesday evening from June through August.
Dining
Montague's dining scene skews toward locally owned establishments, such as the casual Dog 'n Suds Drive-In, Book and Nook Java Shop serves a quick cup of coffee or lunch. For more extensive dining options, travelers must turn to Whitehall. The town hosts about a dozen restaurants that feature entrees ranging from barbeque to seafood.
