Great Views

The house has great views and is HUGE. Everything is super dated and the cleaning crew could spend a little more time there, but overall, it was a good experience!

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed the property for our weekend stay while we went aboard the Polar Express. Bryson City is such a cute town. The house was beautiful! The only "negative" thing i could say would be...it would have been fun if it were decorated for Christmas! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful place!

Wonderful cabin, but no wi-fi and no help offered on call to manager

Went to Bryson City with five women to celebrate a major milestone birthday. Cabin was beautiful, very clean and had all amenities advertised, EXCLUDING WI-FI. We noticed this on arrival and emailed Manager who directed us to instructions in the home manual for resetting the router. The Manual directed us to the garage as to the location of the router, but we couldn't find it. We then called the Manager who suggested we flip a breaker, although he could not tell us which one. After flipping all fuses, still no wi-fi network to be found and no further help offered from Management. The cabin and the area is so stunning, and is definitely worth the stay, as long as nothing goes awry because you won't get a lot of help from Management.

Best VRBO we’ve stayed in

This is the best property we have ever stayed in. The house is gorgeous, the view is unbeatable, and the atmosphere is grand and cozy. This home feels loved and cared for. There were, for example, hummingbird feeders on the wrap around porch. We received personalized chocolate and there was a well-thought-out guest book with a focus on information for visitors (rather than just rules). The garage is an entertainment haven. A poker table, chips, pinball machine, ping pong table, and more! Although we spent every night on the porch! The sunset each night was incredible. We did not even want to go out in the evening because there was no better place to enjoy the view. The location is fantastic. Close to Bryson City shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. Close to the Park, including white water tubing and trails, the Oconaluftee Indian Village, and many places to white water raft and zip line. There are also many prime hiking spots outside of Great Smoky Mountains National Park (esp for visitors with dogs who are restricted from the trails) as well as two on site trails! The Jack rabbit trail is steep and peaceful. We did not try the other one in-site but it is easier and connects with the Jack Rabbit. The home also has a touching family story about Settler’s Mountain, the family’s vacations and evolving homesites on the property. We did not want to leave.

Quiet with a Great view!

Can’t say enough about the beautiful views from the deck of the house!! It was very Easy to find, close to Bryson city. (Beware all of the shops close at 5-6 pm) Game room was a lot of fun to use! I would recommend an extra trash can outside, without a garbage disposal the trash fills fast with 5 adults. Checkout was super easy, owners were very nice and let us know they were available if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Girls Trip

Four friends and I rented this beautiful home for our friend’s birthday. This was probably the cleanest home I have ever rented. We enjoyed every minute there. We loved that there were extra blankets for when we sat on the balcony to enjoy the gorgeous view. Kevin was the best host I have ever had. I will absolutely go back and I plan on sharing my experience with all my friends. 5 stars all around

Not worth the price

The cabin was much more dated than the pictures lead you to believe. We had issues with the Internet as soon as we got there (Thursday evening). We reached out to the owner for help and they said they would send someone out. When no one arrived by Friday afternoon, we reached out again and they acted surprised that the issue hadn't been resolved. Said they would reach out to the repair team and get back with us, and we never heard anything back (fortunately we had cell service and could somewhat hotspot from our phones, but it was still extremely inconvenient). Had issues with the microwave sparking, and the dishwashers' top shelf would fall out when you opened it. The basketball game didn't work. Tried using the window A/C unit in the upstairs bedroom and it started smoking. Had a storm come through on Friday evening and one of the living room windows leaked water onto the couch. It was a nice enough place, but it didn't live up to the listing or the price, and I was really disappointed in the lack of response to the Internet issues.

Incredible property

The cabin, the views, and the game room were all just perfect for our family! Our kids, and let’s face it myself too, basically lived in the game room. We also enjoyed family hikes around the entire property!. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Nice Stay

The pictures tell the story - great view and nice accommodations! The beds were comfortable with a King on the first floor and one on the second floor. The bathrooms were spacious with double sinks and plenty of towels . The water took a few minutes to heat up and the showers had dual handles for hot and cold so it took a little adjusting to get the right temperature and to turn off, but not a huge issue. The lights above the shower in both bathrooms were not working, but there was enough light to see with the vanity lights, skylight and windows. The toilet in the downstairs master had an issue with the float and flushing which was a slight nuisance. There were plenty of appliances, dishes, cookware, etc. The coffee maker had plenty of filters provided and they even had a small bag of coffee with condiments to get you started. The chocolate bar and welcome message was a nice touch. The drive to the house was steep but paved. We wish we had an all wheel or 4 wheel drive, but the van we drove made it ok. We had some issues figuring out the internet - once we realized it was the original log cabin area that had the reset we were ok. There were dogs that barked during the night and early morning, but that is not something the owners of this property can control. Beautiful home and view!

Beautiful view and great location

This house was the most properly clean of any house we’ve rented. The location is great, which makes it having such a spectacular view even more impressive. Normally you must sacrifice location for the view. The space is great and plenty to do. Game room is an excellent addition. We were truly amazed by this house and highly recommend it!

Wonderful mountain retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway at ViewPoint. The home was beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, well stocked, and truly provided the most wonderful mountaintop view. We spent many hours reading, talking, and eating out on the porch enjoying the beauty. The deluxe game room provided hours of evening fun for the kids and the young at heart. The location of the home is convenient to so many wonderful mountain activities and adventures, but still remote enough to be peaceful and private. Thank you for sharing your home.

Great stay in Bryson City!

We loved the views from this beautiful cabin! Huge deck and windows where you can enjoy the view from both inside and outside. The had three families and cooked in one night and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the living room/dining room/kitchen space was great for all hanging out together. Only 10/12 min drive to Bryson City and there is an Ingles along that route in case you need anything. We did arrive in the evening and the roads are a little scary in the dark (we were warned!) for the first time, but do-able. Hosts were helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Great house and great stay!
