This two bedroom walk out rental is situated in one of Victoria's most vibrant and centrally located neighbourhoods. Recently renovated and decorated, you will find everything you need to feel at home.
Two bedrooms, one with a queen and one with a double bed, are well appointed with crisp linens and space to store clothing. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. A washer and dryer are available for use, laundry soap is provided. Bedding is also provided to dress a (wide) couch if additional sleeping space is required.
While the space does not have a kitchenette to prepare food, the rental is equipped with a large sink, kettle, coffee maker and small fridge. Victoria has some of the best restaurants in Canada and we hope you’re able to get out and enjoy them (check out our guide for some local recommendations!).
Located in the Fairfield neighbourhood, the streets are lined with heritage homes and big trees (filled with cherry blossoms in March and April!), and the area has a true community feel while still being in the middle of the city.
You will be located one block away from the heart of Victoria's favourite local hot spot: Cook Street Village. Cook Street Village is a trendy area for locals to hang out/eat/shop/beach. The Village has bakeries, organic and local grocery stores, one of the best liquor shops in the city, a great butcher, a number of coffee shops, food truck alley, florist, antique furniture shops, clothing stores etc.
Beacon Hill Park is also half a block away and is one of Victoria's most beautiful city parks (with a renowned outdoor petting zoo). The park has 2 great playgrounds for kids, one with a zipline(!) and the other with a small water park (seasonal).
The rental is walking distance to both downtown (15 minutes), and the ocean (5 minutes) and is located close to a number of bus routes to take you around Victoria and beyond.
Please note that during your stay our family will be living above you. We have a toddler but we truly make every effort for you to barely know we’re here! That being said, the house is over 100 years old and there is sound transfer between floors - if you require absolute silence during your stay this may not be an appropriate location for you.
Also note the backyard is intended for our family’s use and access is not included as part of the rental (a picnic in Beacon Hill Park is much more lovely anyways!), there is a small side yard which you are welcome to enjoy.
A final note that the ceilings in this space are not full-height throughout. There are beams, door frames, etc. that are 6 feet (or slightly less) and may require someone who is taller than 6 feet to duck their head.
Highlights of the rental include:
*A minimal and well curated space
*WIFI
*Smart TV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and an extended cable subscription
*Laundry
*High quality soaps/shampoo/conditioner from nearby Ash Refillery
