The house was clean and very comfortable, with elegant décor. Our stay was enjoyable. I highly recommend this property and host to anyone visiting Mudgee
This is a great house located a short walk from the Main Street. The house has a great fireplace and a backyard so big the dog thought he was in the park! All fenced so we could leave him there safely while we went birdwatching. The house has everything you need and is really clean and well set up
Well cared for, maintained and furnished home. Had everything we required. Bedding was clean and comfortable, air con and fireplace were wonderful. Parking onsite as well. Location was great and host offered fantastic local options for food as well.
We had a lovely time at Charlottes cottage. Everything was as described and it was very central with easy walking distance to all the chops, pubs etc in Mudgee town. The fire place was very welcome for the chilly evenings. The kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable and it was the perfect spot for us. Thank you for having us Charlotte.
Vale Cottage is a lovely place to stay in Mudgee. An old cottage, beautifully styled and comfortable. Cosy fire, air conditioning and additional heaters available for cold winter nights. Linen supplied and all of a great quality - crisp white sheets and large fluffy towels. Having two bathrooms was great for a larger group. Close to town but quiet. Would highly recommend it.
Suited the 6 of us to a tee. Old world charm high ceilings etc...with some modern extras. Loved having fireplace. 2nd bathroom handy but it lacks a bit of lustre but the main bathroom is packed full of charm as is the kitchen. Easy checkin process and communication from Charlotte was just the right amount!
Lovely cottage, clean & tidy, comfortable beds & pillows. The bed linen & towels were clean & fresh. wood chopped & ready for the fire. walking distance to town centre, supermarkets & restaurants. Great spot for a short break.
We had a lovely weekend in Mudgee. This home is very clean with all the essentials. Comfortable beds and plenty of heating. Location very handy. A bit if traffic noise heard during the night if you’re a light sleeper. Overall highly recommend Vale Cottage.
annual family get together for the weekend although the weather was not always kind Mudgee offers plenty of indoor options as well.
A wonderful time was had by all and the much needed rain did not dampen the spirits at all..
Look forward to coming back one day to see more of what the area has to offer.
Definitely stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay at Vale Cottage on our long weekend trip to Mudgee. The beautiful cottage was full of charm and everything about it was special, it catered for us all and the dogs loved running around the big backyard. It was close to the town centre and just a delightful weekend.
Vale House,is a beautifully presented property close to everything.
It offered everything that was described in the listing and more.
A great place to return to after visiting the sites of Mudgee.Charlotte was prompt in responding to all enquires.
She also gave us different ideas to see and explore during our stay. Even left a couple of local treats for us to enjoy.
We would definitely stay here again when we return to Mudgee.
My friends and I had such a wonderful stay at Vale cottage for a girls weekend. A beautifully restored cottage with all the amenities that we needed. Charlotte was a very thoughtful host and made the whole check in process very easy. She also had some great recommendations for local wineries and cafes and we appreciated the attention to detail which made it such an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
This is a great location with comfortable beds & a lovely host however the whole experience was let down by the Bathrooms which really need attention . If this situation could be rectified we would give a higher rating .
My husband and I loved our stay at Vale. It is clear to see that Charlotte has put a lot of love and time into the property. We appreciated the welcome gift of chocolates and wine and the open communication with Charlotte. We would stay here again!
We stayed at Vale cottage with another couple. The home was beautifully decorated - trendy yet comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we needed to rustle up a good meal. A lovely surprise.
We visited at the end of winter and enjoyed the slow combustion fire, backed up by an air conditioner and small oil heaters In The bedrooms. The bedrooms and living area was cosy and comfortable. A lot of thought had gone into ensuring a happy stay.
We did find the kitchen, bathrooms and back sunroom were cold. Our towels did not dry, and the property could have used a heated towel rail. The more modern of the two bathrooms was a wet room set up. After my partners shower, I was paddling across a wet floor to use the loo - a shower curtain would make the room more comfortable. These were the only negatives we found.
There was only on street parking, but getting a park was not an issue.
Really enjoyed Vale cottage, and would recommend it to others.
Our visit to Mudgee was made with this gorgeous tastefully renovated comfortable cottage. Our welcoming gifts were such a lovely surprise. It is larger than we expected and the location is fantastic so we left our car in the off street parking and walked everywhere around town. Our puppy loved lying on his bed in front of the combustion fire, as he had energy filled days at the various vineyards. We will be booking again and recommend to couples, families and friends as the accomodation arrangements are flexible. Thank you Charlotte in sharing your beautiful cottage.

With my children now completed high school I have the time to pursue other things - now living in the Mudgee Region - I have recently purchased two little stone cottages in Mudgee and Rylstone - allowing me to get busy and restore the cottages to provide beautiful spaces for you to come and stay and visit this amazing region !
Why they chose this property
You will love these cottages - old - stone and full of history - yet with modern comforts !! - beautiful beds and fresh commercially prepared linens - crisp and white ... Not everything is perfect when you have a 150 - 170 yr old structure - but Id like to think that we have come close - for you to enjoy your stay !
What makes this property unique
Step back in time - whilst visiting this region which is steeped in country history - you have the full effect by staying in a little cottage that has been in the town for a long time ...
