In general it was a great stay. The only hiccup was when the hot water was turned off due to an Alectra maintenance. They were supposed to come another time but came early so when we got back to the house there were no hot water at all. Host was quick to respond to all inquiries. Great place and wonderful backyard
We had great time staying at this property for 3
Nights.
Everything was available and clean as we needed. Property manager was very helpful on responding on time.
I came to Guelph with my dog, who was scheduled for surgery at OVC (less than 10 minutes from the house). I found the home neat, well-appointed, and comfortable. Prior to her appointment, my pup and I enjoyed the amazing back yard, which had plenty of seating options and well-thought mature plantings. Then, while she was being treated, the house made for a nice place to work and relax while waiting for my pup to be released from care. The kitchen had just about any pan, pot, dish, glass, and most appliances one could imagine needing, and wifi was fast enough for streaming music while working.
The host was communicative, and replied promptly to my questions and concerns. I told them that there were a few finger prints or nose prints on the sliding door and front windows when I checked in, which made the otherwise pristine cleanliness feel slightly less so (thus my rating).
My only other suggestion for the host is to consider a higher platform or box spring for the king bed as it is lower than chair height from the ground, which could be problematic for someone less spry than myself.
As it was only me on this trip, I lived in the main living area upstairs, the back deck, and the bedroom with the king bed, so I have no commentary on the other rooms (although they looked comfortable and nicely appointed).
Should plans bring me (and maybe more of my family) to Guelph once more, I hope to stay here again.
House was great and had everything we needed. Downstairs shower was probably the best shower I have ever had! Amazing backyard with lots of seating areas. Great communication with our host.
Overall the stay was lovely for a larger group of people we had in a bridal party for a wedding we were attending. Checkin and check out was easy and straight forward. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because one odd thing is that in the home there is a security camera in the dining room, facing into the home, not at a point of entry. The host mentioned it is used for when the house is empty for security reasons, but you can imagine how that would make you feel for your privacy and it was not mentioned anywhere in the listing. I understand the need to ensure safety and security, but the property also has two cameras in the backyard and another front door RING camera, so the indoor camera is a bit odd.
