Take time walking the trail, enjoy the crackle of wood (supplied)and the starry sky at the firepit overlooking the River, relax in the one-of-a-kind hot tub room or take in the scenic views as you paddle down the river in the canoe or kayaks. Inside, two fireplaces (seasonally)will hold your gaze while you enjoy the ambiance, 3 smart tv's, full-service kitchen, comfy king-size bed with 6pc ensuite including a jet tub, a 6 ft double shower(yes, for two if wanted) with rain head and eucalyptus. Total bonus... is the "to die for" glass hot tub room that is a one-of-a-kind! Defintely a guest favorite!!! While enjoying the warm water watch your favorite movie, or relax while you take in the views of the River. The kitchen has everything you need to make a delish meal or visit one of our restaurants in the quaint town of Napanee just a couple minutes away. Rejuvenated, Romantic and Rested, all in one as you kick back and enjoy the peacefulness and privacy of your environment.

Getaway to disconnect and reconnect.

Karen and Kevin’s vacation property was just what we needed to tuck away from the rest of the world and just be with each other. The living room was cozy with the fireplace and sectional to cuddle on. The bedroom was perfectly sized and I slept like a baby in the bed. My spouse was grateful that the hot in was in a seasonal room to block the cold winds that we had. We never saw the tenant in the other part of the house and rarely heard them (only when they did laundry). The soaker tub and the double shower were also a treat to have and spend time in. The property was super easy to find and Karen was very communicative on all things related to the house and area attractions. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much Karen and Kevin!

Mini honeymoon

The house was a quaint, quiet, warm and cozy oasis for us to escape to for the weekend. Karen was amazing with checkin, follow up to ensure we were in and settled (and make sure we had everything we needed). It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and made to feel warm and welcoming. We would love to go back again and highly recommend staying here, or at any of their getaways! We appreciated the opportunity to be there and feel very blessed and thankful

If you are hoping for respite from the daily routine and time away from your hectic life this is the place for you. This apartment is tucked away next to a small river behind the trees. Huge living room windows let the outdoors in. We read books, we toured wineries, we cooked in during the evenings with a bottle of wine and the fireplace for ambience. Relax the days away!

25 th anniversary get away. Very comfortable, relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed the kayaks and hot tub. It’s great to have so many options of areas to relax inside and outside. Bed is very comfortable! Easy communicatikn and great privacy even while sharing property with owners which is a huge plus for us.

Great get away

My husband and I had been talking about a quick get away, then our AC broke and we found and stayed Karen and Kevin's wonderful cottage on the river. We biked, golfed, kayaked down the meandering river just outside the front door, with the provided kayaks. The cottage was cozy, clean, well equipped and we loved the hot tub and the hot tub room. Beautiful view. Wonderful get away - just what we needed. Thanks

Our stay at Be Still was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene atmosphere and stunning river view. A promised place.

We drove up from Cincinnati, and after hours of an annoying drive, we couldn't have been happier with the rental! It was everything that was promised! Though, we had some small issues with the hot-tub, it wasn't a real problem at all. We came to have a relaxing getaway for engagement, and they exceeded expectations! We would definitely come back!

Great way to decompress

My wife and I stayed at Kevin and Karen’s be still. It exceeded expectations. Everything was as advertised. Communication between myself and the Kevin/Karen were quick and responsive. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for peace, quiet and tranquillity.

Peaceful ambience

The house feels very homely and Karen and Kevin are very welcoming. The house has everything you may need for a couple of days and the amazing view of the river. Right next to the highway but yet has that secluded feeling of privacy.

The most peaceful Oasis- Be Still

My partner and I had the best time at Be still. The space was very inviting from the moment we parked our car. Karen really thought of everything, we were able to enjoy the quietness and were able to relax in a clean and quaint space. The hot tub was perfect! Quiet Respite

My husband and I have been on a road trip for two weeks visiting friends and family up the east coast of the states. It has been very busy. We came to Canada and stayed in Quebec for two nights and planned to do the same in Montreal but decided to take a breather and find a home to stay for a couple of nights, just to relax and unwind. This property is CCC .. Classy, Chic, and Cozy. All of our needs were met. The pictures are what you get. I loved this vrbo and if we lived closer, I would stay again. The bed was very comfortable and the little personal touches were so welcome and appreciated. If I ever own a vrbo, this is how I would treat my guests as well. I wish we could have stayed longer, but it's off to the fast pace of traveling again. We will have found memories of this beautiful home and the lovely hosts.

Hello, we are Kevin and Karen! We are happy to welcome you to Be Still Along the River. Our home is way too big for the two of us, so why not share?! We also live here part-time at the rear of the home but don't worry, we may not even meet unless you request otherwise. Your King Suite(main floor bungalow), hot tub room and outside amenities as shown are totally private to you. We are local business owners and know we have been blessed with great properties (We also have "Be Still on the Lake")and we'd love to share our little pieces of heaven with you. Our aim is to make sure you get to share in the solitude and serenity of the river (or perhaps the lakehouse at another time... )and we hope our hospitality shows through too! Enjoy!

Why they chose this property

Everyone may say they have a unique property....but we truly do! Located at Mink's bridge we have a little piece of history we like to share. Mink was the first African American slave to be set free in Eastern Ontario and he lived here at the bridge. If you'd like to know more about his family's story, we'd love to share it through some articles in the suite. So yes, we are unique in that nature but also in others....from the glass hot tub room(for grilling all year long....electric barbeque also in this room) , to the trails, the firepit on top of the old bridge, to a kayak down the river, there's lots to enjoy while you're here. Or as we have found out with previous guests....it's hard to get yourself out of the cozy suite existence. Something for everyone to enjoy.

From personal showering products to luxurious sheets, to the 6 ft double-headed shower, to the kayaking and trail walking and firepit gazing, to a glass hot tub room, and terrific views of the river while you relax in front of the gas fireplace....WOW!
