Comfortable cottage with plenty of room. Very pleasant living space. We found it very convenient to the things we like to do, places we like to go. We would certainly come back
Cute place, clean, responsive host. Had 3 friends with me and we all had our own bedrooms. Easy to get in and out of Portland. Short walk to water. I would stay again.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The area is quiet and tranquil yet just a few minutes from downtown Portland. The nearest restaurant, Dockside, less than a mile away, was wonderful. We were unfamiliar with Roku TV and were disappointed that we were unable to get a local station.
We had a great Thanksgiving here with my family. This looks like a very small cottage but looks are deceiving because it's huge inside. Fabulous layout and great communication with the owner. Only thing we didn't like is it's very close to the ocean but you can't get access to it.

The property was great for our family of 4. We enjoyed cooking at the property each night and playing board games or TV in the evening.
The location is great for walking on the shore, and for many nearby parks that we took full advantage of with our bikes that we brought. We especially liked biking to Macworth Island State Park, and taking our bikes on the Ferry to Chebeague Island. Also, the local market had great informal lunch after one of our bikerides, and lovely ice-cream, locally roasted coffe, and wine/beer.
We had a perfect time.

Reunion Getaway
This house was in close proximity to stores, beaches and short drive to LLbean and wonderful restaurants. The house itself was charming and provided us with a nice place to spend with old friends. The house itself could use some updates. No air conditioning, and very damp downstairs where bedrooms are located. Bedding was damp and signs of mold on ceiling.
Charming place with the amenities you need on vacation, a short walk to the water. Actually more spacious than I expected. The deck was an excellent spot to hang out. Minor challenges: some windows were tough to operate, and it was a dance to share one bath among our group of four, but nothing outside of expectations for an older cottage.

What happened?
Looked good at first. Took pictures on arrival to document conditions in the house. Toaster oven full of food crumbs and oven was dirty. Found a roach in refrigerator. one room smelled like urine from a chair that was dirty with stains. Bedrooms were in what was once a basement and were very musty. Pillows were stained like coffee had been poured on them for months and were unusable. We had to wash and dry all linens before leaving. Water access was standing on road and looking. We advised owner that we were leaving fresh usable foods for her to donate or for someone to use. We purchased room air freshner and stove was taken apart and cleaned after each use except unusable oven. I forwarded all pictures to owner and am waiting to see if my damage deposit is returned. Always take pictures upon arrival and departure when renting.

Loved it!
We loved our stay! Fabulous location, easy to get everywhere yet a relaxed beachy feel without the mobs of people. The cottage was very nice and clean -with all new furniture and allergen free hardwood floors. We slept great, enjoyed the cooler coastal temperatures and very comfortable beds. One room had an air conditioner, we knew it was there but didn’t need it I’m the end. Great ocean front restaurant within walking distance. Thx again! We’ll be back.

Adorable cottage, wonderful beach setting!
This was a wonderful destination, very inviting cottage everything we had hoped for! A great summer vacation spot, with great beds and awsome sleeping temperatures. Easy access to downtown Portland was a huge bonus, and we like the morning walk on the beach to get coffee at the local market. Owner was efficient, and emails were returned promptly. Cottage was clean, well kept and nicely stocked. Thank you Alexa for the little extras like hand crafted soaps! We'll be back!

Amazing location!!
This was my first time in Falmouth, and I fell in love with the area after staying at Alexa's lovely home. It is only a short walk to the cove, which was so relaxing and quiet. The house had everything we needed and I knew Alexa was only a phone call away if anything came up! The neighbors were all so friendly, and there is a great corner store in walking distance. I will definitely be bringing my dog next time :). Thanks again Alexa!!

Relaxing and inviting, highly recommended
Location! Location! Location! Easy to get anywhere and yet so quaint by the seaside. Rt. 88 was great for walking - great friendly neighbors, loved the Village Store. Falmouth has such a good energy too! Really appreciated the tourist info book at the cottage. We had a wonderful Windjammer sail! Ventured to shopping in Freeport, bird watching in Popham Beach State Park, explored Cape Elizabeth's Portland headlight lighthouse and clam shack, and enjoyed fabulous restaurants and seafood in downtown Portland. Thank you Alexa for being so helpful and easy to work with during the booking process. We'll be back! -Jane & Bill

Adorable cottage, great loaction!
Had a great time. We usually stay at the Regency in Portland but this was so much better. The cabin is very comfortable, well set up, and the location is just perfect. Our 2 dogs also had a great time, loved going down to the beach and got a great workout going up & down the hill. So close to Portland yet by the seaside. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we'll be back.

An ideal Maine vacation getaway, great location!
We had a great stay at this adorable cottage, it was everything we hoped for, Maine is delightful with warm temps and lovely cooling seabreezes. The cottage has an open layout, which was ideal for our family with kids. Bedrooms were quiet and comfortable., and we spent a lot of time relaxing in the side yard and cooking out in the back deck area. Owner provided lots of extras like beach chairs, cooler and kids toys, which was a huge bonus.
The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed swimming, even though the water was chilly! The neighbors and owners of the Village store up the road are quite friendly, and we loved walking there and getting live lobster, and picnic sandwiches.. The kids really enjoyed fishing off town landing docks in the afternoon and we also loved seeing the City of Portland, which is just so easy to get to from the cottage.
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves & fell in love with the area. My brother came and visited for a few days and loved it as well. Thanks for a great stay, we'll be back! Sam, Tim, Will and Emma

Comfortable and convenient--how perfect!
This home is a wonderful summer rental is a beautiful spot. The house was clean when we arrived, well-stocked with kitchen amenities, comfortably appointed with nice furniture (sometimes the bane of rentals!), & situated in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to a nice sandy beach. We had a perfect week, with plenty of kayaking, biking (Rt. 88 has a wide shoulder for bikers), swimming, & daily walks. No little ones were with us but it felt very kid-friendly, with a nice flat yard & minimal car traffic. Though the house looks simple compared to some of the newer homes in the area, it lacks for nothing & we had a wonderful time. Thank you, Alexa! We didn't want to leave & wished we had more time.

The way life should be!!!
Thank you Alexa for the opportunity to see the way life should be! This state is great, your home was a perfect fit what we needed and we have a large family with four children and in-law who came with us. The home had everything we needed and more. The deck and side yard kept the kids busy while getting ready for the day and BBQ! The location is great for visiting the towns of Yarmouth, Freeport, Portland and Scarborough. Just being there for one week was not enough and we plan on returning to see the other way life should be in the winter!! Thanks again for a great home!!

Last minute rental
We wanted to share our wonderful experience of renting this house. I have never written a review before but I think this is a hidden jewel of a rental! The owner was so easy to work with and very friendly. This was a last minute rental and she was made it so easy to rent. This rental is also pet friendly which was a plus for us since at first we had no one watch our dog but we didn't bring him but he would have had the time of his life! It was very pet friendly but you didn't feel like the house had pets there. It is bigger than I had expected from the pictures and very child friendly. We have a 9yr but it would be perfect for any age child. The beach is within walking distance and it is also pet friendly. The house had everything you needed to have a wonderful vacation. We will keep this house in mind if anyone is traveling to the area or is looking for a great place to stay. Falmouth Maine is a very cute town which I was not expecting and we loved the area!. Thanks again Alexa for having a wonderful house that you rent out.
