Agent a bit dismissive of needs
House and location was great, however on arrival there was no bbq gas/an issue with the gas regulator. We arrived on 1st Jan, managing agent was 'unavailable' to supply a replacement gas bottle - we had a family to feed. Agent didn't bring a bottle around until 6;30pm on the 2nd Jan so had 2/8 nights without it, somewhat frustrating, more annoyingly he didn't consider this was actually an issue. Spoke to the owner, they were concerned about this, I have empathy for them as the agent really let down the show despite their 20% commission. Other issue was the matresses on the bunks, both bunks had thin matresses with a topper on each. However trundle had nothing. We had 3 kids across the 2 x bunks + the tundle. We used the 2 x toppers on the trundle and left the thin mattresses on the bunks. This was ok, just, as our kids are small, however if I had kids 8-10+ then this probably would not have been adequate. The owner indicated that they would be looking at this for future improvements.
I would stay again if I went direct to owner, but the agent really left a bad taste in my mouth, taking commission and not willing to deal with issues in a timely manner. I get that it was new years day, but if you are an agent for holiday rentals on the Mornington Peninsular then you should expect to be available to deal with issues during that period.
