Hammockwood is a Luxurious Tropical Country Estate that is ideal for a family reunion or small group retreat. Maximum comfort, elegance, and relaxation in an idyllic country setting in Homestead, FL, just a short drive (30 minutes) from Miami.

Luxurious country house with over 6,500 square feet of air-conditioned indoor spaces and over 3,000 square feet of covered porches, pool gazebo, and multiple sitting areas and outdoor eating tables. Five large bedrooms and a loft with comfortable beds and luxury linens can comfortably sleep 8 persons. Two additional garden suites (additional charge of $250 per night per room) with double queen beds and en-suite bathrooms are also available for a total of 12 guests. Gourmet kitchen equipped with all amenities to entertain a large group. Fully equipped wet bar area (no alcohol provided). Beautiful BBQ area with large gas grill. Huge heated pool (20x40 ft) with large pool gazebo, deck area, pool towels, fountain, and comfortable loungers.
Large landscaped gas-operated firepit area with lounger chairs. Professional-size bocce court for endless hours of entertainment and equipped with many indoor and outdoor games: pool table, Fussball, volleyball, giant Jenga, board games, frisbee, bicycles, etc.

Surrounded by six acres of professionally-landscaped tropical botanical gardens. Delight yourself by picking delicious tropical fruit directly from a unique collection of 500 exotic tropical fruit trees.
Enjoy a high-end country experience as you stroll through natural hammocks teeming with flowers and orchids, and observe the butterflies, peacocks, and other birds grazing the grounds.

Relax by the huge pool, take a nap in one of the hammocks, have a cocktail on the immense double-level porch as you observe the sunset, play bocce, table tennis, beanbags, or any other games; enjoy the night sky from the gorgeous firepit area, watch a movie on the projector-equipped media room; do yoga or go for a bike ride between the tropical orchards in rural Homestead, Fl, all within 30 minutes of the Miami area.

Amazing place with tropical fruit trees!

This house is beautiful, spacious and full of fun things to do. My family of 12 adults spent 3 nights in February for my husband’s 60th birthday. We played many games of pool, foosball, table tennis, cornhole and bocce. We even had a family Olympics one day. We all enjoyed swimming in the heated pool and sitting outside on the porch. We used the outdoor grill and the gas fire pit. For me the best part was seeing all the fruit trees in the yard, and tasting the sapote, black sapote, and star fruit. Miguel and Fredrico showed us around, including the trees. If you’re interested in plants, the house is only 4 miles from the fruit and spice park. The house had plenty of room, a well equipped kitchen, and a washing machine. We want to go back. I also appreciated that pets are not allowed, as I am allergic to dog dander.

A True Gem of a stay

We had such an amazing time for our company retreat. We had 17 people and were extremely comfortable. The property was unbelievably beautiful a true oasis. The house was well stocked, and the owner / property manager was fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend this stay.

Espectacular property

Worth the money!!

Everything was just as it was listed to be. Check in was easy, place was clean and spruced up. Would totally stay here again. Only suggestion would be is to have more towels as we used all the rooms and had to wash towels each night. Nothing to complain about just a suggestion.

Great relaxing resort property

The house was great for relaxing for our family. Plenty of space to hang out, swim, play and read. The house could use some sprucing up. The carpets on the stairs were stained and the walls marked up. The upper porch had food left from previous guests on the floor and the deck boards needed to be power washed. There were a number of bulbs out on outside lighting. The kitchen was clean and well stocked, but the ice maker was not accessible. Overall, a nice vacation house for a few days.

We absolutely loved everything about renting this amazing property! We had 89 Grandmother to 1 year old and the house accommodated us perfect! We had our rehearsal dinner at the house and there was everything we needed to put on a wonderful dinner! Thank you Miguel for all your assistance and tours of the property! Paradise

We had such a memorable stay at this absolutely stunning property! The house is beyond beautiful, and perfectly stocked with everything you could hope for, from the bathrooms to the kitchen. The large indoor table and multiple garden gathering spaces allowed for many family meals, barbecues and picnics; the pool was a delight , so clean and warm! The grounds, including the fire pit and the working grove we could walk through, a dream come true ! The peacocks were magical! We had singing and storytelling around the outdoor fire pit, a wonderful memory that still makes us smile for years to come ! The owner helped us in every way he could, to insure we had a lovely trip. We had the best reunion thanks to his attention to detail and highly recommend this gem of a property! In fact, we hope to get together there annually, to relive this wonderful experience time and time again!

Worth every penny>

The pictures of the home were beautiful but still didn't do justice to this amazing house. Our group of 12 adults enjoyed the ample spaciousness inside the home and the extraordinary outdoor gathering areas. Federico always answered texts and emails in a timely manner and Miguel was friendly and helpful with any of our questions. Great place! We do not hesitate to recommend and would rent it again.

Family Thanksgiving Reunion

We had extended family of 15 from all over the country gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving together. This property is amazing and we had a wonderful time! The large lawn area was in constant use for multiple sport games and the pool, bocce court, ping pong table and basketball hoops were such fun! The house and outdoor sitting areas are so large and comfortable that we never felt crowded. We had several minor sink issues that were quickly attended to by the property manager so they did not detract from our experience. I highly recommend this house and property!

Wow!

We rented this property over a year in advance since it was close to venue where daughter's wedding was at. the owner, Federico, always responded to my questions right away. We were able to have our rehearsal dinner and photography done there. The home is a true paradise with all it's amenities. the property manager, Miguel, gave us the full tour of the home when we checked in and showed us how everything works and showed us how to play bocce ball and explained the grounds and all the fruit trees there are. I love growing trees and that was very exciting. The landscaping was as shown on the pictures. We were worried that the actual property was not as pictured but it was better than expected. the hosts were very accommodating. I can't say enough about this home just that if we had known how beautiful the house and grounds were we would have had the wedding here rather than just rent it because it was close. We had family travel from other states and they felt like tey were in a resort. We are already planning to rent this property in the future, come up with any event just to be here. You really don't need to go anywhere else, it is secluded yet close to markets and stores. Because of that, my suggestion is that you check what there is available at the house before buying anything. We bought so much only to find out it was already here. I just can't say enough regarding this property, but WOW!

Hundred-fruit Peacock Paradise Perfect for Mind & Body

A hidden paradise for people after physical and spiritual refreshment! The 6-acre garden creates a perfect secluded environment for relaxation and sunny private activities. The garden is taken care by the generous owner and friendly manager who plant over 500 different fruits there without chemicals so we enjoyed so much pleasant leisure walking around the spacious lawn in Floridian sunshine, picking from trees and tasting natural fruits like loquats, mangoes, guavas, Brazilian cherries, sapodillas....like Adam and Eve! Haha. Such a beautiful garden attracts lots of friendly Southern animals, like the gracious wild peacocks which walked around every evening and various birds with performative tunes almost throughout the day! The house is airy and sunlit every corner, with spotless bathrooms and pleasing decoration. Not overly luxurious, but definitely homey and tasteful. The master bedroom is large and nice with a big ensuite. It has direct access to the huge terrace open to the nice garden. There are many beds and extra rooms for a big group as many as 20 comfortably. To our surprise the owner just finished two extra suites at the separate cottage in the garden so we could invite a couple of friends to stay closer. The living room is square and roomy, and there are plenty of utensils to host a large gathering in the kitchen and the huge covered patio well connected with the living room open to the garden is a place where all friends gather, share, enjoy the nature, and forget how fast time passes usually. The pool is great and there are also table tennis table and pool table.... Just everything you need for a wonderful relaxation. Federico the owner is a righteous and generous man and he is very understanding, towards different culture and living styles, answering our various requests positively. He always finds the beauty in life, and we become good friend after our stay! The manager on site is a friendly hardworking pal who helps timely and never shows himself when he is not called for. We feel very safe and respected when we were there, taken care greatly and enjoyed an unforgettable memory of Florida. Heartfelt thanks to Hammockwood's owner Federico and its manager Miguel. Can't wait till next year to go back!

Beautiful country setting

Place was clean, beds were comfy and enough space for twelve adults. The country setting with all the flowers, fruit trees, outdoor furniture and beautiful pool was perfect. Convenient location close to highway and close to Everglades & keys. And only 35 to 40mins to Miami. Property as describe & beautiful!!! Everyone enjoyed the stay! Miguel the property manager even took the time to show us how to play Bocci, which several family members enjoyed playing.

Beautiful massive property, perfect for large groups

The Hammockwood was a perfect place for me and my friends and family to have a reunion. We loved the many amenities available: swimming pool, fire pit, fruit trees, peacocks, media center, pool table, and more.
