Harbour/marina views in Lyttelton, out door bath,15 mins from Christchurch

Welcome travelers, as traveling probably belongs to your most treasured times, Lyttelton Boatique House is quite a treasure. I welcome you to experience a unique stay in Lyttelton Boatique House.
Enjoy the ever changing fabulous habour/marina view from inside and out, cruise ships coming and going through the summer months, fishing boats, commercial ships, sailing and the pilot and tugs boats as they welcome and farewell the vessels in and out of the Lyttelton Habour.
The niche quirky decor inside and, out is simply charming.
Whats so great about this location is it has the views but not the complexity of hill living, from the moment you step onto the property it is just one small step into the home and every thing is all one level, level drive on access with free parking for one vehicle.
Boatique house boasts also a fabulous 30 sq meter deck facing the habour/marina views. Make sure you pack your swimming costumes as there is also an out door bath installed with running hot water, this bath is positioned with the most amazing habour/marina view.
Whats also great about this location is Boatique House is so well positioned with just a 2 minute easy walk to the popular Fishermans Wharf Restaurant where you can enjoy fresh daily caught sea food, so popular prior booking is essential. A easy 5 minute walk in to the Villige Centre and enjoy the many quirky resturants/cafes/bars and shops.
There is a supermarket, organic specialty shop, liquor store and much more.
Lyttelton is 15 minutes from the City Centre and 30 minutes from the airport, if your not in a rush there are two beautiful scenic routes over the Cashmere Hills, or Sumner Hill.
Right on your door step is the Historic Bridal path walk, and the Banks Peninsula Basin hiking tracks.
Take the ferry over to Diamond Harbour, pack your swimming costume as its a favourite past time jumping from the wharf into the fresh sea. There are lovely sheltered swimming bays within walking distance, or for the more adventurous there are two surfing beaches close by, Sumner and Taylors Mistake. There is a fabaulous Golf course 15 minutes away at Chatteris Bay with beautiful habour views and the most gorgeous club house. Just a few minutes away through the tunnel is the Gondola where you can see see spectacular views of the Banks Peninsula Basin, or if its shopping you desire there are some cute shops in Lyttelton to find that special memorable treasure or the Historical shopping complex the Tannery again just minutes away.
If your booking is on a Saturday enjoy the fabulous Lyttelton Farmers Market, there is great local food to be enjoyed.
You may find myself or guests next door in the adjoining studio, if I am in I will welcome you personally. I wish you great inspiring travels.

Idyllic stay in Lyttelton
Wonderfully sited and set-up for lounge lizards, walkers, swimmers, bikers, day trippers, readers and chefs. We enjoyed watching the everchanging activity of the port servicing Christchurch and the Canterbury Plains. Small craft, fishing vessels, container and cruise ships, almost an arm's stretch away. Always the everchanging light on sea and sky. Car parking, apartment and road all at same level, a rarity in Lyttelton. Our hostess was warm and helpful and never intrusive. The apartment was very comfortable and alive with its creative , quality decor.

Unique and welcoming
This is a quaint, unique home, set up high on the hill overlooking the marina. It was a short walk to town for groceries and to see the local stores. Close to the ferries for rides to the islands . Frances is warm and caring, an excellent host.

Perfect voice!
Frances was more accommodating than any host we’ve encountered in any country. She met us upon arrival, explained a few things, made two restaurant reservations for us, changed one on the day of, provided directions, rebooted internet immediately, and left cream for our coffee. She even had fresh flowers throughout the house. Her place is a perfect location to sit and watch all the port and harbor activity, walk to several restaurants and cafes, but easy to take tunnel into Christchurch. Artfully decorated, quality bedding, large clean well stocked kitchen, beautiful deck with lime trees. An overall feast for the decorator eyes. Eye candy everywhere!

Lots of character and good views
This stay was good and the neighborhood (including restaurants) in Lyttelton was quaint and enjoyable. The only drawback was the busy road on the side of the bedrooms. View of harbor is great! Treats in the kitchen were a bonus.

Outstanding! A++++
The property was amazing, extremely clean, and very convenient. We had a lovely harbor view, and a very helpful host! Upon arrival there were freshly baked scones, fresh water in a dispenser, fresh milk, and beautiful fresh flower arrangements in the kitchen and bathroom! We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return! A+/5*

About the host

Welcome, just little about me, I was born and raised in Christchurch and bought and sold my very first home in Lyttelton when I was 20. I always wanted to return to Lyttelton and I purchased this beautiful home in 2017. With my door open to the world I meet the most wonderful people, the home is beautiful and it attracts beautiful appreciative guests. I get so much pleasure from the guests enjoying my home as much as I do. Enjoy!

Why they chose this property

The view, the view, the view is simply stunning. Lyttelton is a quaint villiage with a sense of being in Europe. The location of Boatique House 2 mins easy walk to a very populär seafood restaurant Fisher Man's Wharf and off course a easy 5 minute walk to the village to access quaint restaurants, cafes, bars and specialty shops. The sea air, the outdoors on your door step, with the walks/trecks, the Historic Bridle path on your door step. Beautiful sheltered beaches for swimming just minutes away. Take the Ferry across to Diamond Habour, make sure you pack your swimming costume a favourie past time to jump of the Wharf into the fresh sea. Take a Gondola ride to the enjoy the views of the Banks Peninsula basin, just minutes away. Cycling or water sports its all here on your door step. A beautiful coastal walk to the bays. And to simply recharge and relax breath in the sea air and take in the forever changing view.

What makes this property unique

Lyttelton Boatique House is very unique because of the view, the home was built to maximise this, not to mention the huge deck. The decor is beautiful and quirky inside and out.

Lyttelton Boatique House very definately stands out becauase of the intimate uninterrupted views and gorgeous decor, fresh sea air. Guests leave recharged and inspired.

A further point to add is the easy access to the one level home inside and out and the easy access to the many treasures Lyttelton has to offer, no steep hill walk or steps to climb.
