Bach

Location of Bach & Beach is wonderful and outside space great. Outdoor chair squabs have mildew, assume from being put inside damp We left squabs outside to dry - as left bach early morning due to (advised) power cut, and squabs still wet.Bach is in ‘original condition’ as owner said - However Bach is Over- priced for facilities. On arrival, We had to clean out the fridge, inside kitchen top cupboards crockery etc, as it was covered in cooking grease, kitchen window sill also covered in grease and dead flies. Main Bed was sooo tiny and uncomfortable !!!We had taken own Duvets, Pillows Sheets and other bedding and needed everything piled on bed for some comfort. So New & Larger bed is absolutely required, just put small corner shelves on walls and do away with awful old headboard unit.We couldnt move bedrooms, as even though Air Conditioning unit, these compact rooms get No air flow, And putting a bunk bed across all access to windows doesn’t help, or bed wedged between two walls so unable to access both sides also added to no air flow.Maybe get rid of bunks and have a pull out double sofa would provide Same ‘Sleep Quota’ but provide better functionYes the Penguins are a bit like teenagers coming home at night, but it is the Penguins home too.Anyway we made the most of our two night stay. With a bit of Renovation, tweak of form & functionality plus improvements in cleanliness. This Bach could be amazing.new & bigger Bed as

Fantastic bach in prime location

Our small family thoroughly enjoyed our 3night visit. We had an absolute blast of a time. The neighbours around were super friendly and respectful of our little ones. Will stay again for sure!

Beach bliss

Awesome bach has everything you need. Great location. Kids had a blast. Aircon was brilliant for sleeping. Will be back

Our stay

The batch was dirty. Cupboards were dirty , cutlery dirty , washing machine dirty , cupboards in a shambles , under the couches had food rubbish and toys under them , things were randomly chucked under the beds , microwave had stale food left in it , shelves hadn't been wiped down. Well over priced wasn't worth the 750 I had to pay for 2nights , considering my cousun booked a batch around the corner from us , and their batch was absolutely spotless. Wouldn't reccomend this batch.

Lovely stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the bach. We appreciated the owners checking that the tv was working before we arrived and finding someone to fix it before our stay. Great location right beside the beach and close to the river. The highlight was being able to see the Penguins through the glass floor of the bach. This was amazing!

A great kiwi bach holiday

Our family 2adults and 2kids had a wonderful Easter weekend here . Everything you could ask for was provided and available for your use . Comfy beds - good kitchen , fridge etc Great outdoor area and close to all the fun. Was nice to have laundry facilities right there -always a bonus with kids! Overall a wonderful few days.

Family gathering

Very clean and tidy Bach and wonderful location being beach front very handy to the river also. Bach was great for our family of Six. Great outdoor area facing the beach great for relaxing under the sun shade at the large table chairs was very nice. We are very happy with our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
