Relaxing 4 days in a quiet, secluded location. Very comfortable!

Our main goal was getting away for a quiet relaxing stay before the Thanksgiving weekend and this fit the bill perfectly. Was greeted with 6" of snow that was awesome! The seclusion was nice but we realized how much we depend on a microwave! We were spoiled by a VERY comfy bed for sure.

very quiet retreat. Use high clearance car even in summer.

Loved the quiet time, but have a question re bathroom in master. You could have half a dance in that bathroom..why such a small shower stall in which you can only get water onto the top of your head. Did not see Milton, swear I heard him. The squirrel that was hoarding for winter kept me entertained.

Perfect for the Family!

We really loved the location, we brought snowmobiles up with us and the kids had a great time. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The fireplace was great and since there was still snow we did not get to enjoy the deck but if you go in the later spring, summer or fall it would be fantastic. Philipsburg is a great little town, one of our favorites! The only drawback was the cabin was really really cold, we had a hard time getting it to warm up upon arrival and then keeping it warm through out the visit. Other than that it was super great, lots of amenities. The kids brought their tablets and had internet just fine when they were ready for some down time. Would highly recommend!!

Weekend Getaway

We've stayed here a couple of times as a family. We love the big open kitchen, dining, and living room. Fun for playing games and great family meals. A short drive to Discovery for skiing, and the neighborhood is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful.

Beautiful cozy cabin

Our 2nd stay for our family ski trip to Discovery ski area. The cabin is well equipped and so comfortable. Situated between Discovery ski area and Phillipsburg. You do need an all wheel drive in winter but we had no problem with access both stays. We hope to stay again in the future! Kim, the host is great also!

Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay. We went skiing at Discovery while we were there and the property was in a great location in comparison to the ski hill, Phillipsburg and Anaconda. My kids really enjoyed the loft area and Kim was very responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Winter getaway

Kim offers a beautiful property. Kids went sledding, dogs ran like crazy in the snow and we enjoyed a short ice fishing trip. The home was comfortable and offered everything we needed to relax, have some good food while playing games and watching movies. Definitely need the 4WD to access the property but it’s a gorgeous winter setting. Looking forward to staying again in the warm weather if it’s open.

Epic MT Getaway!

This property is both beautiful and centrally located. We visited in December and had no problems accessing the cabin in the snow with a 4x4 pick up. The road is well plowed. Only 6 miles from Philipsburg and it took us 20 mins to be on Discovery skiing! Property owner was communicative and even gave suggestions for activities our kids might enjoy. If you’re staying in, the cabin is stocked with games and a guitar. Great stay!

Yearly Fishing trip

Clean, every thing was in great order. Kitchen had plenty of supply’s, giant clean refrigerator. All appliances were new or close to new. Beds comfortable. Beautiful inside an out. Our week a little chilly plus didn’t get back early enough to eat outside. Grill new and big plus extra propane. Owner very thoughtful. Hopefully be there next year close to fishing and far enough away from people.

Amazing getaway

We had an amazing experience with being able to get this place on short notice. We were super happy with the communication and friendliness from Kim. Also loved being able to bring our four legged family with two, they really enjoyed the wildlife. The home had everything we needed so we didn’t have to pack half our home to take with. Thanks again.

This is the second year in a row we’ve rented this cabin and loved t just as much this year !

We’ve taken both sets of in-laws to this cabin over the last two years and we’ve all just loved it. The road is a bit “rustic” but so worth it! From late nights sitting one the deck playing games and roasting s’mores to the early morning sunrise views from the bed in the loft, this is a fantastic getaway!

Hi I'm Kim, a nurse by trade and a holistic healer from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have worked in Home Care for 10 years, and I am in certified in Healing Touch, Reflexology, Reiki, Singing Bowls. I have 2 children in college and one in high school. Since childhood I have traveled out west and fell in love with the mountains. 2004 I started my dream of building a cabin, recently completed December 2016. Additional plans to finish basement by 2018.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this piece of property due to the views and a natural spring that is on it.

What makes this property unique

During the years of building the cabin, a mother moose and her babies would stroll through. Sometimes they watched the workers and lay by the natural spring. This fall when the appliances arrived, a moose showed up and stood around. At the time I decided to name the moose Milton. And that is how my cabin was named Milton's Place. Deer are frequently seen, and Milton or family on rare occasions. If you are looking for a rustic peaceful get away this would be a perfect spot for you.
