Returning travellers, great view but disappointing maintenance issues
We recently stayed for a second time at this property after having such a great experience the first time.Unfortunately our returning visit wasn’t as smooth sailing, but still enjoyable with great views.Cons:- We were unable to gain access to our car park, which prevented early access and one of our fobs did not work for the duration of the trip. This was a widespread issue at The Langham and it was unable to be resolved.- The properties not maintained well, presumably issues caused by renters which is disappointing, but it’s also disappointing that there’s no maintenance checks completed.- We arrived to find a large electronic blind on the floor, which meant that we were unable to make use of it until the technician arrived the following day. The sun rises early on the GC, so it was not ideal having a night without a blind with little kids.- The light was not working in the second bathroom, it was reported but not fixed for the duration of our stay.- The clothes rack is broken, we stayed for 9 nights so had to do washing. We had to hold the rack up with two chairs on each end but it’s falling apart. This was broken on our first stay too.- The kitchen tap did not stay in place despite the handyman tightening it.- The glass shelf was missing in the second bathroom.- The beds are very firm and uncomfortable.Despite the issues raised above, the stay was still enjoyable. We hope that the property is better maintained in future, as we would be interested in returning
