About this property
A Beautiful Get Away on the Coast of Barter's Island
Located at the end of a private road on Barter's Island with the ocean on three sides sits this oasis of a retreat. To the south the Sheepscot River is waiting to greet you, to the east you will find a delightful tidal cove, and to the west you will find the deep waters of the Sheepscot River. Enjoy sunsets from your private dock, and water views from every bedroom. Pets are welcome at the owner's discretion subject to a non-refundable pet fee.
Watch the osprey from the screened-in porch on the first floor, or enjoy a fabulous bird's eye view of the river from the upstairs balcony.
Guests have access to the entire cottage, grounds, and association amenities including a tennis court.
3 miles down the road and you are at the Trevett Country Store where you can get supplies and some of the freshest lobster rolls around.
Just 4 miles down the road is the renowned Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
Barter's Island is reached by driving over a swing bridge that is opened by a hand crank. It is one of the last remaining hand crank bridges in the State of Maine.
Courtesy quiet hours start at 10 p.m. per local ordinance.
