The Little Black House, in a beautiful rural settling, is only minutes from Kaikoura town. Modern, contemporary interior underfloor heating, amid thoughtful landscaping.
The Tiny house is very new and clean and tidy. Nice bedding, well equipped kitchen. The loft really is quite low and the ladder is quite steep. The bathroom is outside. Very close to Kaikoura town and walking tracks
Lovely spot to spend a few days in the Kaikoura region. Perfectly appointed with everything we needed. Thanks for being such a great host, Tom. We’ll return as soon as the wind blows us back across the Tasman!
The Little Black House will not disappoint any new visitor. The house is incredibly well equipped with all the amenities for a relaxing, and chilled break away. The interior is of a very high spec and the soft furnishings are beautiful. The bathroom facilities were more than ideal, and the shower was lush. The mountain views one side and sea views on the other are a lovely contrast to the eye. I'll definitely come back again!
We were very late checking in because of a delayed ferry sailing but Hamish was so accommodating and helpful, we couldn't have asked for more. The location is peaceful with incredible views towards the sea and the mountains, and a beautiful night sky. Wish we could have stayed longer - we will go back. My only precaution is for people who have mobility issues as getting to the bedrooms involves climbing a ladder and the ceiling in the bedrooms is low. But it worked well for three mobile adults - just depends on what you are up for.
