Beautiful view of the Atlantic

Accommodations were very clean and tasteful. Gardens were awesome. All rooms were spacious and there was plenty of room to store clothes and toiletries. Lots of hangers too. We didn't rent a car and probably will next time. Gregory was great and took very good care of us. Two minute walk to beach was exactly that.

Secluded, Sublime Perfection

Idyllic. That is the best description of Seascapes and our time there. It was exactly what we were looking for; a quiet, secluded bit of paradise with everything we needed right at hand. If you are looking for night life, bustle or hitting a bunch of shops, Seascapes is probably not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a perfect place to relax away from everything but beautiful sun, sand and surf we highly recommend Seascapes. Charles and Lisa are responsive and attentive hosts who were very easy to deal with. The house is beautiful, with a high standard of build quality, finishes and landscaping that show lots of thought went into making Seascapes not just a vacation house, but a home. We felt so comfortable there. The views of the turquoise and azure Caribbean waters from almost anywhere you look are amazing. The photos in the listing are a true representation of how lovely the house and surroundings are. If anything they don't do the panoramic views enough justice. We enjoyed making our own meals in the high quality chef's kitchen equipped with everything one could need. Dining on the verandah with a glass of wine in hand overlooking the sea was a treat. The infinity pool and its placement are inspired. It was great to have the options of both the pool and the beach. The white sand beach is just minutes walk. The bottom of the cliff upon which Seascapes sits overlooking the sea is lined with coral reefs that offer easy and enjoyable snorkeling to see lots of colorful fish and fascinating coral formations. The WiFi at the house worked plenty well enough for us. The bedrooms are very comfortable; each with a modern en suite bathroom. All rooms offer A/C, but with the refreshing breezes when we visited in March we never used it. We didn't go to many restaurants by choice, but enjoyed a pilgrimage to the classic Roti King in St. John's and highly recommend Trappas in English Harbor, which only serves dinner. Maccumbas in Willikies does tasty traditional BBQ chicken and fried fish on Friday's and Saturdays. Porsche is a lovely hostess. Also try the rum & raisin flavor at the St. Phillip Ice Cream Bar in Willikies near Seascapes, but only if you are not driving far. It packs a punch. Antigua is our favorite of the Caribbean islands for it's authentic, old-time charm. We can't imagine a better holiday, and we plan to return to Seascapes next year. The only negative things about it are envy and having to leave.

Fabulous spot!

Seascapes Villa is a beautiful home in a perfect location right above Long Bay Beach on the eastern shore of Antigua. The villa is perched atop a hill, surrounded by a lovely garden, a fantastic infinity-edge pool, with amazing views overlooking the beautiful beach and the turquoise sea. As other guests have mentioned, there is a walking path that takes you down to the beach - about a three minute walk. Good taste and attention to detail are evident throughout this lovely property. The living area and kitchen are separate from the two queen bedrooms. (There is also a guest cottage on the property that can accommodate two additional people.) The kitchen is beautiful - very "high-end" and equipped with everything necessary to cook in, which we did most nights. (There is a great grocery store on-island called the Epicurean.) We had a ball exploring Antigua - it is very easy to get around and if you happen to get lost, everyone is very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Lisa, the owner, is great to deal with and the property manager, Marina, and the caretakers, Dwight and Jonny, are awesome. Check out Mama Pasta restaurant on Long Bay Beach for some delicious Italian food. (Call ahead - hours vary!) I highly recommend Seascapes for the perfect island vacation!

Exquisite Slice of Paradise!

Lisa & Charles, Thank you so much for sharing Seascapes with us! We so enjoyed the setting - incredible sunsets; lounging poolside when not enjoying the fabulous Antigua beaches, meals on the deck overlooking the ocean; the delight of our daily 'wildlife' visitors - sugar birds, hummingbirds, and little geckos; and of course, the home itself and people of Antigua. As many have mentioned in their reviews, the home included every essential we could have asked for. And Dwight and Marina were delightful - such a pleasure meeting both of them. We had such a memorable time and highly recommend Seascapes. Appreciatively, The Haflichs & Mosers

What is there not to like?

An absolutely perfect house in the most wonderful position with a terrific pool, a beautiful garden on a tropical island. Four of us enjoyed over two weeks in this very relaxed place. With 16 different places to sit, we all found a corner to curl up and read our books. The kitchen is equipped with every single thing you could possibly need and the Sonos sound system worked really well.... And down the path to the foot of the cliff is the warm caribbean sea and Mama Rosa's restaurant where she cooks italian food from scratch, home made pizzas (we had a take away one lunch time) and pasta, while Cecil serves up a mean rum punch, open lunch time only and not on Tuesday. The rather daunting road through Willikins takes about 15 minutes to get to the main road which is full of humps, lumps and pot holes plus wandering goats and donkeys, however after a while you learn the hazards and it does not seem so bad. We ate out at English Harbour several times, including twice at Catherine's, we also went to Cecilia's and Sheer Rocks (not so good). We also had lunch at the Pineapple Beach Club which wasn't very good, apparently they are slowly revamping it. There was a cricket match on at the Viv Richards stadium so the men took in an afternoon of cricket and we went to Cloggies to watch the Rugby International match. If we could have stayed on we would still be there now instead of braving the English winter. If there is a slot for us we would love to return.

Outstanding!

We absolutely loved this property! It was magically relaxing and peaceful. The colors of the ocean and gardens were captivating and this is a great place to see beautiful birds and wildlife. There is a a gorgeous reef to snorkel within a few ministers walk from the property. The infinity pool on the property was refreshingly blissful with incredible views. The house is well equipped and we really enjoyed the friendly staff. This was an absolutely wonderful vacation spot.

Exceptional!

Just returned from a wonderful week at Seascapes. Everything is exactly as pictured and as other reviews mentioned the kitchen is completely outfitted for those who want to eat in. One recommendation is to bring a few staples (spices, coffee etc.) in your suitcase as groceries are very expensive. We were 2 couples and the set up of the indoor and outdoor space meant there was lot of room for everyone to spread out. We all agreed that if a third couple joined in to use the cottage there would still be lots of space. The pool is amazing and the quick walk down to the beach gave us the best of both worlds. For those who want to eat out, we ate at Mama Pastas twice and the food is first rate, only wish it was open later. However, we dropped in earlier in the day and let them know we would be arriving close to the 5:30 closing time and once our food was served we didn't feel pressured to leave. We also had the fish lunch at the beach bar for lunch twice and it was excellent. Finally, we discovered that both the Verandah and Pineapple allow offsite guests to eat at their restaurants. An evening pass (dinner and drinks before and after dinner) for $75 allows you to eat at the a la carte and for $55 you can eat at the buffet. We ate at 2 of the a la cartes at Pineapple and both were well worth the money. We didn't do it, but the same deal applies for a daytime pass for $95. My #1 recommendation is to explore the island, the beaches are incredible (our favourite was Half Moon Bay- excellent beachside restaurant too) and the people of the friendliest of any island we have ever visited. Lisa quickly answered all my emails and questions quickly and the timing of our trip allowed us to meet Lisa and Charles in person so we could let them know firsthand how great our week was.

Paradise

We never tired of the view or this villa. The grounds were beautifully kept and the place was very clean. The kitchen was a dream to work in. There was everything imaginable you might need to prepare and present your food and drinks. The island was friendly and we felt welcomed and safe. There were so many beautiful white sand beaches. Lisa was great to work with on booking and details. We have to go back!

Small slice of heavan

Our family of 4 stayed at this villa for a week in April and it was outstanding. House is well-appointed with everything you might need for cooking, meals. Wi-fi and television for playing DVD's, but no cable if you would prefer to ignore the beautiful surroundings while on vacation. The location and view are remarkable and provide the privacy of your own villa, with the convenience of Long Bay beach just a few minutes down a private path. Long Bay is pretty quiet, just a few hotels down the other end of the beach and pretty low volume of people, even on days when taxis would bring in cruise passengers. There is a small bar with food near the north end of the beach (closer to villa) and Mama Pasta is good for lunch or dinner, with fresh made pasta on site. Bar/restaurant right at bottom of hill is not operational now, having suffered from a hurricane a few years back. Water is crystal clear and snorkeling is decent, with a great deal of shallow water reefs to explore. Rent a car if you are staying at this villa and want to get out to see any portion of the island and for grocery runs to the Epicurean, the only real grocery stores on the island. For smaller items like ice or milk, etc., there are "superettes" everywhere on the island. Driving can be challenging and you certainly have to keep your wits about you, but it is entirely doable. Pictures of the property don't capture how truly amazing it is, with an extensive array of trees and plants providing privacy, some shade, and a colorful variety of daily hummingbirds, lizards, and even a chameleon just off the back deck one night. Meals on the back patio with the sunsets/sunrises were incomparable to any other places you will find on the island. The private infinity pool is much larger than photos make it appear (it is not the size of a hot tub as it appears in photos, much larger) and is all yours. Extra room can be had in the guesthouse for an additional fee if you have additional guests, which is convenient. Full washer/dryer on site, so you can pack as light as you want and simply do a load of laundry. All in all a spectacular place to stay, an easy owner to deal with, very helpful property manager near by, and the view of a lifetime. We will return.

Schönster Platz auf Antigua!

Mein Frau und ich waren vom 4-13. Februar 2016 in diesem wunderschönen Haus auf Antigua. Was soll ich sagen. Thank´s Lisa! Thomas

One Happy Family

The pictures are tremendous, but don’t give the place justice, as they can’t capture the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks below, or the healthy wind that blows refreshingly and constantly. A great way to capture the magnitude of the view; we could see the villa clearly while swimming with stingrays at a sandbar the might easily be 10-15 kms away. The beach is truly only a 2 minute walk down a very well maintained path. Long Bay is very nice and while a little busy when the cruise ships are in, is virtually all yours in the morning and by 5:00 p.m. Snorkeling off the beach won’t blow the experienced away, but was still solid fun for the family. Had drinks on Marina’s restaurant deck most days and she and her staff were very nice. Marina was also very responsive and available for arriving/departing and any other questions we might have had through the week. The villa itself was very well stocked. We did a lot of cooking and found any tool necessary. The BBQ was solid as well, with a nice Kenmore 4-burner that reached nice high heats allowing for some quality grilling. Lots of deck furniture, including two large tables. Beds were comfortable in the main house. We didn’t rent the cottage, but had a look inside and it’s a nice option for larger groups with kids. As others have stated, the gardens are expansive and very nice. Dwight the gardener is a great guy. You really should rent a car. Loved Antigua, the people are awesome. You should see the island and the guest book is filled with great recommendations. Every one we followed was on the money. Half Moon and Smiling Harry’s was a classic example of a little risk with tremendous reward. Lisa was a joy to deal with throughout the entire process. We had an absolutely fantastic vacation.

Paradise

What a truly stunning spot. A photo just can't do justice to the view. The gardens are beautiful and they help ensure a great deal of privacy and quiet. Because we were up so high, a very welcome breeze was a constant companion that helped keep the house at a very comfortable temperature. The walk to the beach was short, and pleasant and a trip that we made frequently. The beach was perfect for swimming, sun bathing and reading. It was also very nice to have a good beachside bar and restaurant close by. The house was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The owner and local care takers were all very welcoming and easy to communicate with. We can't wait to go back.

Our getaway at Seascapes was perfect in everyway. The villa was tastefully decorated in warm and natural beach tones which blended so nicely with the most amazing views over the aqua clear waters. We relaxed and enjoyed preparing delicious meals over the grill while listening to all the natural sounds in the lovely gardens. The beach below was gorgeous along with the bar for refreshing drinks and lunch, and Devils Bridge, a natural wonder, is a must see when venturing around the island! In all, our stay at Seascapes was lovely beyond our imagination. Thank you Lisa and Charles for allowing us to share your amazing villa, and we took home so many memories of your lovely property.

Oh my, oh my!

Pretty much what everyone else has already said - this place is ideal in every way! In fact, it was so enjoyable that I pretty much abandoned all my plans to scuba dive, hike in the rain forest, take a 4x4 up to the mountains. I literally didn't want to leave the house and the beach. Top 10 enjoyable features: 1. The views. I just sat there endlessly and stared at the stunning ocean views. 2. The gardens. The gardens are stunning. An unbelievable variety of well maintained tropical plants, including bright bougainvillia. 3. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the deck. Home cooked food was far more enjoyable than a typical all-inclusive. I will never to an all inclusive again! 4. Awesome beach. A literal, very pleasant two minute walk down a pretty path to the beach. It's a great beach, not crowded with a nice mix of locals and tourists. 5. Exercise! I took a morning and evening swim. It's an ideal beach for swimming, especially with children. 6. Walk to Devil's Bridge and down Diane Point. The house is ideally located for walking. Out the gate to the left takes you on a 15 minute amble with no cars down the pretty Diane Point. For a more vigorous, adventurous walk 45 minutes round trip to the AMAZING Devil's Bridge National Park. 7. Accommodations are very comfortable and well maintained. Just a great place to relax. 8. Great restaurants. Antigua has awesome food. Don't miss out! 9. The expansive decks at night when the crickets are chirping, palm trees rustling, warm sea breeze and ocean waves breaking in the background. I actually made a recording to listen to. Unforgettable. 10. Sunsets. Unbelievable. The views. You will NEVER forget Seascapes. I am already planning my next visit. Wow. I never write reviews, but this vacation was truly amazing.

Amazing!!

We stayed at this property for a week and what can I say. Better than we could have ever expected. Views are to die for. Place is absolutely perfect. Clean and so beautifully maintained. Heaven on earth. We loved sitting on terrace for part of day and heading down to beach about 1 min walk down direct path. Beach is so calm and beautiful. Restaurant is right there to rent chairs and umbrella for week. Everyone is so friendly. If you're looking for a spot to go relax and have adventures if you wish, this is the perfect spot. We picked up groceries for week on our way from airport and that worked perfectly. We cooked everyday. Kitchen has everything you need. Also activities to do if you want. Stingrays, snorkelling, tours etc. we are so happy we decided to stay here. A true gem.

Fantastic views and unbelievable beach and snorkling

We were a family of four and had a wonderful week. We loved the beach which has great swimming and snorkeling as well as a great beach bar where we eat and drank most days . The owner is also managing seascapes which made it very convenient . The house is very clean and eating outside over looking the ocean on the covered porch was wonderful. Great gardens very private location , the house exceeded our expectations and compared to other places we reviewed a great value

6/10 Okay

Beautiful views with a few problems

Pros: 1. Beautiful views 2. Nice staff – gardener and housekeeper 3. Kitchen – well stocked with cookware, utensils, plates, cups, etc. 4. Phone to make local calls 5. Washer and Dryer 6. Outdoor patio furniture Cons: 1. The back up generator does not automatically kick in; and, you have no way of accessing the garage/workshop to turn it on. We lost power twice for hours, which means we also lost water, fans, phone (all phones are cordless), and internet. The heat was trouble!!! 2. No air conditioning - Only fans and windows 3. Limited water supply – contingent on the amount of rain. We had water the entire week were there, but it never rained. So, we never knew if we would run out of water. 4. The gate malfunctioned on several occasions. 5. The recommended airport transportation never showed up. 6. If you have issues while at the Villa, there are no instructions and only one contact. The contact person can only provide limited support. General: 1. This is a remote location that is not close to the city or any stores. So, make sure you stop at the grocery store and stock up before come to the Villa. 2. I would turn your phone on international in order to make calls if the power goes out. 3. Bring you own DVDs/Blue rays and games. There are no local channels because there isn’t an antenna to pick up the signal. The DVD player cannot pickup the intern; so, no Netflix’s. 4. The path to the beach is very steep and rocky, but it comes in handy when the gate will not open.

Incredible property

We stayed at the property for 10 days in July. We were 2 families. The property is absolutely spectacular. The views are indescribable. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Antigua. I can go on and on about the location, the property itself but it would be endless. Just go and stay here!!

Perfect villa at great location

Nicest Home Away rental we have found. Beautiful, quiet, immaculate private villa with excellent smooth water beach (even on windy days) and clear water snorkeling reef. Great mix of folks on the beach, many coming from all around Antigua to this spot! Not crowded, but convivial. Two good lunch spots on beach plus 3 restaurants at walkable and welcoming Verandah for nearby dinner...but otherwise very quiet area. Lots of tourists and locals bring kids to swim and snorkel, and many older folks who liked the ease of swimming in a wide shallow area. But we also met an NFL rock star, folks from all over of all ages, and very engaging local people who seemed in great spirits. Our top pick among over a dozen Caribbean destinations.

We have found the "perfect location". The gardens are absolutely beautiful, the view spectacular and the home warm and inviting. If someone is looking for an active vacation or a relaxing vacation, this will have it all. We enjoyed everything from kayaking, snorkeling, restaurants, meeting the friendly locals and relaxing with a beautiful view. The owners have thought of all the things you may need on vacation. Whether you are looking for a wine opener or a beach towel, this home will have it. It was very comfortable, clean and the gardens are beautiful. I would highly recommend this home for your next vacation destination.

Unbelievable Views - Antigua at its very BEST

Escaping the coldest week this winter (yet) in the UK - and the first holiday without the kids for a very very long time - Seascapes was idyllic - I agree the photos do not do this great house justice!! We were a party of four and enjoyed early mornings with tea on the terrace and then a quick walk (it really is only minutes!!!) to the beach for a swim before breakfast - unbelievably it was often only us at that hour -wonderful. The day was spent on one of the terraces reading or sleeping interspersed with swimming, walking and beers -perfect. We came to distress and in 24 hours we were there. Locals could not have been more helpful- Lisa had arranged our transfer with a stop at the supermarket on the way to the house with friends arriving a day later with a car. On Lisa's advice we visited the gorgeous Catherine's in Pigeon Bay and Jackie O' s - Both restaurants have incredible settings and delicious food- we also enjoyed pizza at Mamas on Long Bay and cocktails with Marina on the way back to the house. Seascapes was the best equipped kitchen I have ever rented and we ate like kings. Every part of the day can be enjoyed on a different terrace and the grounds beautiful. Thank you Lisa -what a wonderful holiday house you have created we hope to come back.

Wonderful secluded home with "million dollar" view

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Scapes. The property is really lovely with beautiful gardens and the ocean views were truly amazing - truly a "million dollar" view. The house is nicely decorated and the staff were helpful but unobtrusive. The house sits above Long Bay beach which is a fantastic beach. It has great snorkeling and wonderful services available right on the beach. We will definitely be back!
