Happy Camp Beachfront Cabin

Surround yourself in the rugged beauty of the Northern Oregon Coast at this dog-friendly Netarts rental, an adorable two-bedroom, one-bathroom home at the mouth of Netarts Bay. Wake up every morning to incredible ocean views, relax in the home's inspired interior, and find the perfect accommodations for up to four guests and one dog.

You won't find a better location for coast and town activities! Pull up tasty gaper and butter clams in the bay, or explore quaint Netarts' shopping and dining, including The Schooner Restaurant and Lounge (we recommend the locally sourced 'Oysters on the Half-Shell' entree - it's delicious!). Beach access is right through the backyard - it's the perfect stretch of sand for families since it is partially sheltered by the bay and the waves are calmer.

Featuring wood accents, coast-inspired decor, and picture windows boasting sweeping views, the home's peaceful, cabin-like ambiance is just what you need to unwind and reinvigorate. Settle in during rainy afternoons for movie watching and group bonding in the living area, complete with a library of DVDs, a DVD-, Netflix-, and cable-equipped flatscreen TV, and comfortable leather couch seating for everyone. If it's particularly chilly outside, flip on the gas fireplace to quickly warm the room.

When your group gets hungry, serve up some salmon dip and crackers or a hearty homemade meal made in the well-equipped kitchen. You'll have all the cooking necessities for quick and easy meal prep, along with ample countertops and breakfast bar seating. But if the breakfast bar seating isn't enough, there's even a four-seat wooden table for meals together with your whole group. If the weather calls for it, head outside for an al fresco experience on the home's expansive deck, where you can listen to waves crashing in the near distance while savoring fresh Dungeness crab cakes paired with a fine glass of Oregon pinot.

Afterwards, why not take a sunset stroll on the beach? Uncover hidden treasures in the sand against the backdrop of a pink-hued sky, then return home to roast some marshmallows over the backyard firepit. Head back inside to connect to the WiFi for planning tomorrow's adventures, then retire to bed after a satisfying day.

Up to four guests - and one dog with a small nightly fee - will find the perfect accommodations for a great night's sleep in either of two bedrooms. There is a bedroom with a queen bed on the main level, while up a set of stairs sits a loft space with two queen beds partially separated by a wall. Each bedroom is quaint and quiet, boasting furnishings like bedside reading lamps, picture windows, and wooden desks.

Wake up refreshed, pull out a clean pair of clothes from the washer/dryer, and get ready for another day of coastal adventures. You'll find many great day trips just a short drive away, including sightseeing and breathtaking hikes along the plunging cliffsides at Cape Meares State Park (about five miles north), sampling fresh cheeses on a tour of the family-friendly Tillamook Cheese Factory (nine miles northeast), and hiking in the majestic Oregon Coast Range to Munson Creek Falls, a 266-foot waterfall about 16 miles east.

Whether you've come for some much needed rest-and-relaxation or an active weekend of exploring the many attractions around Netarts, you're guaranteed to find just what you're looking for at this charming home. Reserve your dates today for an unforgettable vacation on the Oregon Coast!

Excellent location

Beautiful views of the bay and ocean from inside the house and the deck. We saw beautiful sunsets both nights. Short, easy path to the beach. My grandsons loved being so close to play on beach.

Needs some improvements

This is a cute little spot and the access to the beach is unmatched. The house smelled like either cigarette smoke or musty mildew and we couldn’t figure out which one. The main level bed is one of the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on and the pillows were like sleeping on pieces of paper. There was dog hair on everything. It was freezing and the portable heaters they provide have an auto shut off so we woke up freezing every morning. I can’t see us returning to this house.unless they did some serious renovations.

Simple and quaint getaway

We loved the location and the old-school charm of this cute cottage. We also loved that it was right on the beach with the deck overlooking the water!

A wonderful place for a family vacation! The house was quirky but adorable. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. Quiet, private, on the beach. Lots of outdoor living space including a huge deck and a fire pit overlooking the ocean. The two kayaks made for such a fun adventure. We had a wonderful stay

Cute Wheelchair Friendly Cabin

We needed a place that was wheelchair friendly and also had a view of the ocean for our sister from out of state. The house was dated, but everything was clean and worked! The fact that they were dog friendly is a big + ! We would stay here again!

View is great

We enjoyed the view of the bay/ocean and the access to the beach. The front door is steps from the car and only one step into the house - good for someone with disabilities. One bedroom downstairs and 2 beds up very steep and narrow stairs. Washer and dryer is nice for longer stays.

1000 Happy Camp

The house we stayed in was nothing like the pictures on the website. We had flies like nothing I had ever seen before! They were big blow flies. Disgusting! Probably killed 50 of them with the fly swatter and herded that many more out the sliding doors. House was not very clean. One of the reviews talked about mice in the house. Hubby asked if I looked. I said " no, I don't even want to know, or we might have to leave" it was already yucky and reeked of mildew! The only thing it had going for it was the access to the beach. Don't count on the leather couch as stated in the description of the house. It's an uncomfortable cloth couch. Look at the pics online and compare to actual house. Not anywhere close! Wish I could add the pics I took!

Beware

This place, while on Netarts bay, has wonderful views and good access to the beach (the Pacific Ocean is about 1 mile north). The house was very disappointing. It was mostly dirty, with mice in the kitchen (had to dispatch one the first day and there is a funky smell by the dishwasher - probably dead mice?), nearby inoperable back screen door, holes in the wall in the bedroom, dirty, stained bed clothing, and a gas heater that was partially disassembled in the living room. Most all the appliances worked but the tv system was pretty useless with no access to local channels. To Vacasa’s credit, the local staff responded to requests to change burnt out lightbulbs, install batteries in the remote controls, and reset the wonky tv system (this took almost 2 hours with two technicians). Overall a good location but poorly maintained unit. Not worth the cost. By the way, bring your own towels, the ones in the house are very old and thin. Not recommended.

Felt like home

Cozy and convenient. We settled in easily and our children quickly enjoyed the beach. The sand was silky smooth. Plenty of towels and quilts. Two children enjoyed having their own queen bed to sleep in. When we left my youngest said, “I’ll miss that place. It felt like home.”

Fantastic Location

Our first reaction upon seeing the property was that it was very shabby, but had amazing views. We decided to just get in the mindset of it being a beach cabin, and not expect luxury. It seemed fairly clean until I went to turn down the bed sheets and found chunky black filth between the top and bottom sheets. Fortunately, there was an extra set of sheets, but it’s not fun changing sheets while on vacation! Having said all that, the views were wonderful, and the location was great for exploring the Oregon coast.

Great View!

The home has outstanding views, great deck and only a few steps to the beach. Comfortable furniture and beds. Although the home was clean it does have plenty of wear and tear but nothing that is a deterrent.

Not worth the price

The small house was freezing when we arrived, because heat was not turned on and not working properly. The living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable. The tv connection was bad, had to keep turning it off and restarting. Refrigerator made loud noises and pops constantly. Privacy was horrid. No Blinds on the windows, no drape on the slider door, and we had to block the stair way with a blanket to keep the warm air from the bathroom heater from going up the stairs. Sure, you go to the beach hoping to have a pleasant stay at a comfy house, knowing you will spend most of the day away exploring the area. But it's winter, and it was rainy weather, so we had hoped to enjoy a few movies inside, but the couch is horribly uncomfortable to sit on. The wall paper in the stairwell is peeling, and looks ugly. Not a happy place at all!
