We had a lot of fun decorating and fully stocking this 1961 house so it would feel like home with nostalgic touches! Perfect for the family or a group. The pictures say it all. Convenient location! Covered deck close to the kitchen. Two living rooms. A very spacious homey feel in a nice quiet residential neighbourhood. Walking distance from the best of downtown, but away from the loud street life.

Great property and even better host!

I stayed at this property for just over a week with my ski team. This is an exceptional property that was very clean when we showed up. Our host was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed! I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect layout for a family!

We are a mixed ball team made up of two families. The place is perfect for families (great friends) who want to all stay tougher on a trip! An older house that has been updated and obviously taken care of. Janice was very easy to communicate with! Thank you for hosting!

much better than expected

The initial photo of the bungalow is somewhat average however the inside is far above average. Great in every way! Very spacious, super clean, quiet, everything you need, comfortable, nice balcony, central area, nice host who cares that you have a super good experience. All around great place for a large family or group of friends.

Family time in Kamloops

Betty Lou’s Bungalow was a great place to stay! We were a group of 6 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. Love the little touches, from the welcome snack basket to bathroom essentials and cozy couch blankets. Thank you to our hosts for welcoming us to their lovely home.

Perfect landing!

We ( 3 parents) stayed at “Betty-Lou” while our sons were sequestered at a hotel for a soccer tournament. What a relief to be outside of downtown but so conveniently located to all venues and routes. The house was clean, well decorated and equipped. The hosts too had great descriptions and appreciated treats for us. If we ever come to Kamloops again- I’d be delighted to stay here again!

Great Golf Trip

We had a great 2 night stay in Kamloops at Betty-Lou's bungalow. The AC was great, beds were comfy, and the house was well stocked. Very close to DT with some great restaurants nearby. 25min to Tobiano, 45mins to Talking Rock, and 55 mins to Sagebrush made this very central for us. Thanks for the goodies and the nice stay!

Met our needs perfectly

This property is exceptional. Janis and Nathan were excellent hosts and thought of everything. The house is beautifully, yet comfortably decorated. It is roomy, nice covered outdoor space, fully equipped kichen, and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, living areas in a quiet residential area. We were there for a family memorial and after family get togethers, it was great space to return to.

Golf gentlemen

What no six stars! Listing photos and description matched actual accommodation which is always a satisfying experience .Our group wanted for nothing. Others have commented about the host, I won’t repeat but they are 10 stars. To go out of their way and satisfy our very special request after check in was unbelievable and it was done with a smile and in 15 minutes. I recommend this place as high as possible

Top notch !!

Janice the owner is amazing. She knew that I would be bringing my 6 month old granddaughter and she made every effort to ensure that we were welcomed properly. Children’s book and toys were thoughtfully laid out and it just touched my heart that someone I didn’t even know , cared . The home is wonderful and every special touch showed an incredible attention to detail. The check in process? A+ Easy place to get to and shops are only 10minutes away Would recommend Betty-Lou’s bungalow to anyone

Just “The Best!”

Wow comes to mind in every way imaginable! First Janis, our host, was wonderful to deal with from first inquiries to departure. The cottage was tastefully furnished in period furniture that worked perfectly with the lovely hardwood floors. Lots of art work too! As our group’s chief cook, I found the kitchen very well equipped. The appliances are top shelf plus there is everything imaginable for small appliances, dishes, pots and pans. Lots of bedrooms, very comfortable beds and more than enough bathrooms for five guys. Another plus … the washer and dryer! Couple this with a great covered deck with a view north to the Thompson River, a location central to local restaurants and the golf courses and you can’t go wrong. Actually, I guess one could go wrong by not grabbing this place as your very own base camp! We all enjoyed every single minute of our stay. Thank you so much Janis for hosting us! Hugh and the Golf Guys!

I recently had the pleasure of staying Betty-Lou's Bungalow. I must say, it was an incredible experience that exceeded all expectations. The first thing that struck me upon arrival was the spaciousness and cleanliness of the property. The property was equipped with everything one could possibly need for a memorable stay, making it feel like a home away from home. One of the highlights was the lovely patio area complete with a barbecue grill and outdoor seating. This outdoor space provided a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the beautiful Kamloops weather. In addition, the ample free parking availability was a huge convenience, allowing us to explore the area without any worries. Janis was an exceptional host, responsive and attentive to any inquiries we had. Her dedication to ensuring a delightful stay was evident in the small, thoughtful touches that made the experience truly special. The wide array of board games and entertainment options added a fun element to our evenings, ensuring there was never a dull moment. The attention to detail in the property was remarkable, and the personal touches did not go unnoticed. It was evident that Janis genuinely cared about our experience, and this contributed to an overall sense of warmth and hospitality. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Betty-Lou's Bungalow to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Kamloops. As for myself, I would not hesitate to return and stay here again in the future.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful home, attentive to needs

Had a wonderful stay. Spacious and lovely place. Quiet. We came to use the bike park, and it is not far away, short drive. Extremely friendly hosts and town. we had a small problem with a drain (they did not know about) and it was fixed immediately (kids had done some poor habits shall I say, they could not have known). Very pleased. Lots of personal touches for your comfortable stay! Would not hesitate to recommend or stay again! Thank you very much!

Family Get Together in Kamloops

We enjoyed our week in Kamloops very much. Some of our family (from TO and Regina) stayed with us at Betty-Lou's Bungalow and some stayed with friends and family. It was wonderful to have visits and meals together at "Gramma and Grampa's". First time we've used VRBO, first time we've rented a place in Kamloops and we are already thinking of doing this again. A big thank you to our hosts for providing such a wonderful space.
