Our schedules were pretty busy, so we were only able to find a small window to get away. It’s a beautiful cottage and the view from the deck is amazing. So peaceful. Would love to go back sometime for a longer stay
Quiet peaceful beside our fav beach great beds washing machine noisy but worked great we loved our stay very much we were close to my moms for her 81 birthday I would highly recommed this place to anyone thankyou so much
The property was well situated for privacy from the other properties when you were sitting on the porch facing the water. The view of Chance Hatbour was spectacular at sunrise and sunset. It was deafeningly quiet at night time compared to the city drone I have become used to. Although a fire ban was on throughout Nova Scotia at the time of our visit, sitting around the fire pit was still enjoyable in the Adirondack chairs provided. My boys really enjoyed kayaking as we waited until the harbor was like glass to paddle on. The property was very well stocked with the little essentials that you need not have to buy . One of my favorite beaches when I was growing up in the 70s was only 13 minute drive away. " The Merb" and a visit to a family Cottage in Caribou gave my boys an experience of swimming in the warmest ocean water this side of North Carolina. Great place for a bit of R&R!!!
Everything was great. Fire pit. Back deck overlooking water. Beds were great.
Only 2 issues were the bbq and the wifi. Wifi was out for a couple days but not sure if it was the area or site specific.
We were driving our daughter back to Halifax for school and stay 3 nights at this lovely cottage. Great setup in the cottage and love the wide over hang to sit outside even in the pouring rain.
Caught a dozen Striped Sea Bass from the dock. Ate a 3 pounder, delicious.
Had a slight issue with the toilet not filling but was promptly repaired. There was also a sulphur smell coming from the water which was being fixed after we left as not to inconvenience us during our stay. The owner also reimbursed us a generous amount for the inconvenience.
Highly recommended I would rent there again.
This little cabin is a superb spot for anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway. The cabin is exactly as described in the listing. It is clean, well equipped and just adorable.
Sarah answered all our questions and made our stay delightful. Will definitely be returning!
