Long View Cottage was perfect for our PEI getaway. We were a group of 8, including two kids, and the sleeping arrangements worked perfectly. The kids slept in the trundle bed in the office, and each couple had their own room. Having two full bathrooms was also a big bonus! The house is immaculate - sparkling clean and well-maintained (and the heat pumps were MUCH appreciated during the heat wave!), with everything you would need for your stay (bring your own food ;)) The setting is beautiful, with a large yard and views over the water. A very short ways from Kensington, and almost halfway between Summerside and Cavendish, the location was perfect - away from any hustle for some great bike rides, but close enough to amenities and attractions. Would definitely stay here again!
Long View Cottage is a beautiful house in a great location. The view of the river and the farmland on the other side was spectacular. It is a very small and quiet street, a dirt road actually. You can walk from the cottage on another dirt road along the river, which is a beautiful morning walk. It has a large, well-maintained yard and a fire pit. The large deck was also great, with plenty of seating and a grill. The house was like new and very nicely decorated with lots of thought put into it, like a basket of blankets in the living room and a cabinet of games for young kids. It had WiFi and good service. There is plenty of seating space in the kitchen and living area for everyone to spread out. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space, with everyone having their own room. Having 2 full bathrooms is also a big plus. The kitchen had everything we needed, as well as other spaces, like enough towels and bedding. Kensington is a nice, small town and not too far from Cavendish, Stanley Bridge and North Rustico. It's about a half hour from Summerside also and a bit further to Charlottetown. There is a great pub in the town and bakery as well. There is also a small market that carried all the necessities we needed to get on our first day. We were very happy with the cottage and would highly recommend it!
