The name comes from the willow tree on the beach. It's a perfect place to spend the day on the beach under a willow tree!
Cottage is open concept. There is a sun room as well as Great Room with wood burning fireplace in the center.
Kitchen is a dream! Clean and bright - even doing dishes is not a chore because the sink overlooks the lake!
There is also a firepit where the family can gather round and watch the sunset, eat s'mores and tell loads of ghost stories. Lots of space for everyone!

OUTSIDE
NEW Stairs installed to the water. The beach in front of the cottage is gravelly but changes after every storm. There is also a second beach entrance at the end of the street.
Outdoor hot/cold shower
Lots of parking, lots of grassy outdoor areas, a playground and 2 kayaks
NOTE: 2024 there is very little beach. Approx, 60 stairs to the beach. The water can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Even if it's stoney…it's fun to go stone collecting – Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
I'm Jennifer, I'm under Lake Huron's spell, and I know you will be, too. I started Cottage Stays to share my own home with like-minded travelers who appreciate escaping to life at a slower pace and enjoying Huron County's natural beauty and thriving communities. Your peace of mind is my priority, and I'm here to help make sure you have the best vacation possible.
EXPLORE GRAND BEND AND BAYFIELD
The pace of life slows down in Bayfield. When you vacation here, it's easy to experience each day to its fullest. Clan Gregor Square is the heart of our quaint community where many local festivals/carshows and you won't want to miss the farmers market in season. Pioneer Park is another local favorite—kids will love cooling down at the splash pad.
Both Grand Bend and Bayfield are within a 10-minute drive of the cottage, making it easy to stroll Bayfield's quaint Main Street (and catch one of the world's best sunsets at Pioneer Park) or take to the water in Grand Bend with its sandy beaches and watersport rentals. Sample both Grand Bend's nightlife and Bayfield's boutique shopping, and visit the farmers markets in either town to pick up local ingredients for dinner. Or let someone else do the cooking—both towns have plenty of options, from fine dining to casual pub fare.
