This seems like a venue geared towards large party/weddings. I will definitely keep this place in mind if that time comes.
My stay, as a solo traveler with a dog*, was excellent. It was so peaceful and quiet. The room was large with a full separate bathroom. I was impressed with the grounds as well. It’s a short walk from the room to the river. They have kept the area cleaned up for easy access. On this 150 acre property they have a few walking trails, most in shade.
Chattanooga is only 20 minutes away. I was able to have food delivered by Uber Eats.
I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet getaway.
*I have a large dog that is well behaved. He was rescued from bad conditions by kind people. I have experience training dogs and I have spent a lot of time working with him. If your dog is not well behaved for travel outside the home, “dog friendly” is not a term that applies to you. Please don’t expect any place to just deal with your dog as it’s disturbing others and destroying their property.
The property had a beautiful landscape and surroundings. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were the only ones in the building yet the room they gave us was very small and was not the one depicted in the ad. I saw the room down the hall that was shown in the ad. We were very cramped. I will be more careful when we book again.
My husband and I went to this property for our minimoon after the wedding to relax and some getaway time together. It feels like a cozy hotel, where you can just relax in your room or take a walk outside whenever. The location was good, near Chattanooga downtown so there's plenty restaurants and things to do.
