CHARMING RIVER COTTAGE NEAR GRAND OLE OPRY & DOWNTOWN

If privacy and charm are what you are looking for, the Hobbit House is it! Tucked away on a quiet residential street, it is only a mile from the Grand Ole Opry, Opryland Resort and Convention Center, Opry Mills Mall, movies, restaurants, the General Jackson Showboat rides and beautiful walking/biking trails. Only 10 minutes to downtown and 15 minutes from the airport. Our cozy home has a relaxing partial view of the Cumberland River, en-suite bathrooms, 32" flat-screen TV and Wifi/cable. It has wood paneling throughout the main body of the house and hardwood floors. Suitable for 4 adults. We have a well-stocked kitchen and provide nice linens and the essentials such as shampoo and soap. This home is on a street where TV shows are shot to give the impression that the setting is out in the country. This was our home for a number of years and our friends named it the Hobbit House. Circumstances compelled us to move to a larger house just 4 doors away, but we loved this house too much to sell it, and Richard still tends his organic garden here. Come to Nashville and enjoy the attractions, then come home to relax and watch the birds, the wildlife, and the boats go by. As one of our happy guests said, "It's like being in the country and the city at the same time." RSTR permit #2018057978.

Amazing home and great location

The house was perfect! Very clean and we loved the patio overlooking the river! The location was nice too - about 15-20 minute Lyft and Uber rides to Broadway!

A delightful stay on the Cumberland River

An amazing property for comfort and location, minutes away from the Opry, mall, and good food. House was perfect for a stay with family with the two bedrooms and bathrooms, feels like two separate suites if you need a little separation. Very much like home! Have stayed here in the past and would stay again.

Business trip friend stay

A friend and I decided to book Richard and Sherry’s place while attending a conference at the nearby Opryland convention center. So pleased with our choice! Just a few minutes from the conference but felt like our own little retreat. Hosts were so kind and accommodating, and loved relaxing in the home with a real “cabin” feel after a day of meetings. Beautiful view of the river and loved the bird watching. Perfect spot, would absolutely stay again!

Well equipped cozy home.

Very comfortable home with everything needed. Kitchen is well equipped. Extra linen available and clearly marked. The owners have a great system in place to make your stay relaxing. Home is very close, about a mile to the Gaylord, Grande Old Opry and multiple venues with live music and many restaurants. Downtown Nashville is about a 20-30 minute ride depending on traffic. Music City garage is a good place to park. Reasonable price clean and well lit.Highly recommend the Hobbit House.

Cabin on the River

We enjoyed our stay, so nice to be able to sit or eat meals on the deck with a view of the river. Nice rustic, quiet, clean and well stocked cabin, fun to watch the birds and squirrels at the feeder, and owners were easy to work with and responsive.

All the comforts of home...with a view!

This place exceeded our expectations in all the best ways. Lovelier than the photos, the deck overlooking the river was our favorite spot. Everything was spic and span and the interior decorations delightful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Cozy, Peaceful cabin with a great view!

The Hobbit House is a cozy, quaint cottage with a beautiful view of the Cumberland River. Richard and Sherry, the owners, are very welcoming and attentive to the needs of their guests. This is the perfect place to enjoy all the activities of Nashville and have a quiet place to sleep and relax after all taking in the sights of Nashville. Convenient location, easy access to the highway and all of the local attractions. Very impressed with this cabin. We will certainly return!!

Fantastic house, great location, great hosts

This is a beautiful house with a nice view of the river and lots of character. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking and the internet worked great. We enjoyed our stay and will be recommending the house to our friends for when they visit Nashville. The hosts were excellent about communication, and were extremely conscientious about accommodating a special request from our party (using unscented detergent on sheets/towels).

Wonderful cabin!

This place was perfect, and so much better than we’d expected. It’s much, much bigger than the pictures might lead you to believe. The view of the river from the deck is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The place had everything we needed. We’d love to stay there again next time we are in Nashville.
