Mid-century Guest House Cottage on approximately 3-acre riverfront estate with access to a private dock on deep water for guests.

The “Boathouse” in its entirety has been rehabilitated with stunning, high-end appointments throughout boasting a deluxe master bedroom with en-suite bathroom upstairs; living room, modern kitchen and one-half bathroom downstairs. Outside areas include upstairs deck and downstairs patio, covered and uncovered.

Spend your time while visiting this gorgeous property by taking a stroll over the grounds, walking past the main house to the deep water dock. Observe the sea birds and wildlife or leisurely sit on the upstairs deck to watch the sun set through the old majestic oak trees. It’s truly magical!

So Pampered!

From the moment we entered the home to softly playing jazz music and cozy lighting, we felt pampered, cozy, and comfortable. Impeccably clean and tastefully decorated! This spot was perfectly located between Savannah and Tybee Island in order to enjoy both. We would love to stay again!

Beautiful and cozy home to stay in. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Property is very nice and convenient location. Enjoyed eating breakfast outside in the morning and listening to all of the birds singing.

Boat House

Great location, super cute, very clean, only issue we had was we wanted to kayak however owner had put them away for the season. We were looking forward to kayaking the water ways, being from Minnesota we are very use to kayaking in cooler weather. Other than that we had a great time.cooler

Clean, private, and conveniently located property

By far, this is the cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed at. The owner is a great communicator and helped us get our trailer we were towing stowed away so we could enjoy our time in Savannah. While the photos of the boathouse are nice, they do not do justice to just how beautiful the place really is. You just have to stand in it, believe me. The kitchen is very well-appointed and we had 3 meals in during our two night stay. We drove only 13 minutes to get to the Savannah visitor's center parking and maybe 20 to Tybee. Both nights of sleep were great in this quiet location. The best part of all however, were our visits with the resident cat, Jasper! If just the two of us next visit, we will not think twice and will be booking here again if we're lucky enough for it to be available.

Outstanding stay at the Boathouse

From the moment we walked in the door until our final day, everything at the Boathouse was perfect. The furnishings were beautiful, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was amazing, and the kitchen was better well equipped than mine. We spent most evenings on the dock which the owners graciously allow their guests to use. Speaking of the owners, Brian and Patsie were so nice and quickly got back to us when we had a question. We were so glad we found this adorable Boathouse and hope to stay here again in the future!

The Boathouse was the best find for our 5 day getaway. Peaceful and private setting, yet minutes from the hustle and bustle of old Savannah. The entire stay from booking to leaving was perfect. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

We absolutely fell in love with the Boathouse! One of the cleanest and most charming places we have stayed. Perfect location for those that like beautiful scenery outside the city but a short drive or uber into downtown. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Boathouse and will definitely return to this house! The layout is perfect for a couple and the setting is beautiful. The owners were thorough in their communication and were accessible if needed. The location is perfect as it is halfway between downtown Savannah and Tybee Island.

Savannah locals had a blast!

We live in Savannah about 5 minutes down the road from The Boathouse. We stayed for 3 nights for my wife's 40th birthday "staycation" and kept the boat at the dock during our trip. We had an amazing time and will be back again next year. Everything was just perfect.

Peaceful & Quiet Location

This is our 3rd time staying at the Cottage on Whitemarsh Island and we've loved it every time! Very peaceful & quiet location and convenient to Tybee Beach and Savannah. Brian & Patsi are wonderful hosts and easy to work with. We'll probably stay here again, should we ever be back to Savannah!!

Georgia east coast riverfront boathouse cottage get away

My husband and I enjoyed our stay! The property was beautiful, the grounds well kept, and the boathouse was immaculate. Our hosts, Brian and Patsi, were great! We are from Ellerslie, Georgia which is about a 4.5 hour drive, and wanted to support our local economy by visiting a destination in Georgia, so we chose to vacation in Savannah, on the Georgia coast. The property on Whitemarsh Island, in a quaint boathouse, appealed to us, and didn’t disappoint. We were within 5 minutes to 15 minutes away from local restaurants, downtown entertainment, and historic attractions. But just relaxing in the boathouse, walking to the dock, appreciating the surroundings nature, and scenic marsh and river views, was destination enough! Next time we come down we will go crabbing and/or fishing, as we only stayed 3 days, and did not have time to do this. And we will go to Tybee Island beach when it is not a holiday weekend, because the traffic was so backed up during the Memorial weekend into the Tybee Island exit that we gave up and turned around, but we will be going back! We highly recommend this property for two. It’s a perfect couples getaway!

Quiet Savannah Stay

Its always a pleasure and of course a relief to find that a rental property meets or exceeds its description. The Boat House met and exceeded our expectations! This is a great destination for a couple looking for privacy and sitting in the midst of Live Oak Trees draped in Spanish Moss. While the Boat House is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, we found ourselves spending most or our "at home" time sitting on the covered patio, enjoying our coffee and enjoying the natural surroundings. We met and and had a nice visit with the very nice couple who have owned the property for a number of years. We look forward to a return visit.

A Beautiful Little Gem

I write this with some trepidation because this property was PERFECT and I do not want the word to get out. From the moment you pull up to the Boathouse you fell as if you have stepped back in time. Surrounded by majestic oaks with Spanish moss you feel like it were 1890. The hosts have done a MAGNIFICENT job remodeling this home. The detail to attention, the space planning and decor, the setting...all of it is SPECTACULAR! The Boathouse was immaculately clean with plenty of fresh towels and linens. Please book this little gem and take good care of her because we plan to be back again. Our hosts, Brian & Patsi, were very nice and communicative from the beginning and through our stay, too.
