Strolling the shore, beachcombing, and enjoying the eagles and seals are all part of your day here in this area of Maine. Western Bay Shores is a comfortable, and well-maintained 4-bedroom, 3 full bath post & beam home with nearly every room having a view of the water.

Fenced yard is great for kids' play, or your pup. Inside, 3 floors provide plenty of space for everyone and privacy. Easy access to the shore for your own kayaks or canoes (or rent them locally for delivery/pickup). Very convenient location to all the Down East sights - about 20 min to Acadia Nat'l Park, less than 30 minutes to Bar Harbor. You'll find lobster pounds, mini golf and more in the area too, not to mention great family- and pet-friendly hikes in the park. Pick up lobsters to cook and enjoy relaxing on the large deck with patio dining, gas BBQ grill and casual seating. After dinner, head out to the fire pit, to enjoy the moon rise and phenomenal stargazing

There are 4 Bedrooms.

Rental fee: Base rate is for 8 people, with a maximum of 10 ($175 extra fee per person up to 2 additional people). Please let us know if you have young children (under 3) putting the number of guests over 8. We offer a pack n' play, and toddler air-mattress.

1st floor - 1 Queen bed - cozy and private across the hall from full bath;
1st Floor: bathroom with shower and laundry;
2nd Floor - 1 King Bed master with views, 2 sitting areas, including modular futon/couch, master bath with tub, shower.
2nd Floor - 1 Queen BR, large closet and views.
2nd Floor - Shared full bath with shower/tub combo
3rd Floor - 2 Full-size Beds, and additional TV / game room with modular futon/couch. There is no bathroom on this floor.

The breakfast nook has a pub table with 4 cushioned stools Comfortable dining area seats 6.

Lots of places to spread out - from the living room, the 2 sitting areas in the Master BR, and the 3rd floor TV/game room. Large outside deck, fire pit area and of course the shore!

Acadia National Park Visitor's Center less than 20 minutes away and Bar Harbor just under 30. Conveniently located between nearby towns of Ellsworth and Bar Harbor, Southeast Harbor and more villages on Mount Desert Island. Nearby shopping, artisan shops, farmer's market, miniature golf, dining, ice cream, lumberjack show, miniature golf and more!

Note that this is a non-smoking residence - no fires, candles, or smoking allowed inside.
