We had a great time relaxing at this small cottage. The sounds of the waves helped the relaxation, and the view is gorgeous. Recommend this if looking for a quiet place to recharge.
The cottage was very cozy with an amazing view of the Bay. We watched the tides coming and going from the big daybed/couch in front of the large living room window. Very well equipped, everything was very neat and clean. We had a wonderful visit with walks on the beach and visits to local attractions.

Chance Harbour
The property is gorgeously placed, clean and well provisioned. We had a bit of a problem with check-in, but once that was resolved we were very happy. I recommend that future guests make sure they have the entry code before leaving home.
Perfect getaway in a beautiful secluded spot. If you want peace and quiet this is the place. Loved no tv and internet so we could unplug. Wish the bedroom window would open so i could hear the waves at night.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Cranberry Head Rd. The cabin although small and rustic had everything we needed except maybe a washer and dryer combo (we brought enough clothes for the week so only a minor inconvenience). The area is very quiet and centrally located that allows easy access to nearby attractions and Saint John. The views of the bay and our walks on the sand at low tide were exceptional and we really appreciated having our dog with us on vacation.
Thank you.
Cottage was smaller than we expected but very clean and cozy. Chance Harbour is small and amenities like food and groceries are a drive away. But, if you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the spot. VRBO needs to change their website. I had many problems logging in and communicating with my host.
I've explored a lot of the Fundy shore over the years and somehow missed Chance Harbor. My loss - this is among the most beautiful spots on the coast, with rocky cliffs and the huge tides Fundy is known for. The house has everything you need - and nothing you don't. Put away your laptop, there's no wi-fi -- which means you can really unplug, unwind and let nature do the rest. This was just a quick stopover for me on the way to my destination. Next time, THIS will be the destination.
We stayed for the better part of a week, driven off by hurricane Lee. Lovely, clean one bedroom cabin, right on the harbour, well stocked with good cookware, good shower pressure, good bed. If only there were a wood stove I’d say it’s a perfect place to stay, in any season. No wifi, to our knowledge, no TV, spotty cellular service. In short, a place to really disconnect! 30 minutes from shopping or dinners out. Bring in what you need to eat or movies to watch (there’s a dvd player) and have a ball. Two waterfalls in walking distance, beach access for kayaks or canoes. Definitely recommend!

Great view even on a rainy day
The inside of the cottage is stunningly beautiful. Unfortunately the outside is not what we were expecting. We had a fire on the first night, and soon after getting the fire going, we realized the fire pit was rusted completely through the bottom. With no outside hose, we didn’t have anymore fires. The ground itself is very uneven and not child friendly. The cottage was quite away from anything. The listing showed a canoe, kayak, and a waterfall. Never seen the canoe or kayak. The water falls is not walking distance, and nothing special.

My name is Line. I am residing in Quebec. I have discovered Chance Harbour's paradise a few years ago.
Why they chose this property
With my partner Michel we've immediatly felt in love with the area and it's locals. We have made it a place to come and unwind. Our little cottage, which we call our Blue Cabin is a little heaven where we take time to contemplate the nature. The Bay of Fundy is just a magical place with its legendary tides.
What makes this property unique
What we considere unique about this place is the view, the tides, the ocean, the landsacape, the water fall , the beach, the marsh area.... Just a feast for the eyes. The fishermen villages near by with the colorful locals are just an additionnal treat.
