About this property

True Ski in-Ski Out 1BR! Walk to the lift and ski back at the end of the day!

This beautifully appointed mountain retreat gives new meaning to the phrase "great location". It is true ski in and walk out on the Four O'Clock Run, as you literally ski right into the back door of the condo with easy lift access via a short walk across the street and up to Snowflake lift. With an only two block walk to Main Street's Blue River Plaza with its shopping, restaurants, art exhibits, and museums, you'll find yourself in the heart of both Breck's best mountain offerings and its bustling Victorian town. It is also on the main line for the Breck Connect free shuttle.

After parking your car in the included garage (a rarity in Breckenridge), you'll proceed across a picturesque bridge over a mountain creek to the unit's front door. This unit is at ground level with no stairs or hallways to trudge through, and makes you feel like you're walking up to your own mountain home. (Note that there are a few stairs as you come to building from the parking lot.)

Upon opening the door, you'll be greeted by the light steaming in from the wall of windows that are slopeside. Welcome home!

The kitchen has custom cabinetry, granite counters, full size stainless appliances (including a dishwasher), a stacked stone backsplash, a table with seating for six, and is fully appointed with every amenity you could need to cook or bake, including specialty items not always found in vacation rentals, such as a crockpot and a blender.

The living room is anchored by a stacked stone fireplace, upgraded to gas for ease, providing abundant warmth and ambiance to the unit. The over sized sliding glass doors open to a rare walk-out onto Four O'Clock Run in winter and a hiking/biking trail in summer - it's like having a huge backyard plus direct access to the run! The living room also includes a leather pull-out sleeper sofa, a mine cart coffee table, DVD player with included movies, a flatscreen TV, and cable/satellite service. There are also board games and puzzles waiting for you in the corner.
In the bedroom you'll find a queen bed with removable pillow-top, a large closet with a built-in dresser, a TV with satellite service, an air mattress for an additional guest, and extra linens and blankets for your comfort. The bedroom has two windows opening to the creek, and even a desk in case you need to get some work done. The bathroom is appointed with a tub, a rain shower head, and granite counter.

The whole unit has been decorated in a cohesive and relaxing mountain retreat motif and has high speed internet, cable/satellite TV (with movie channels), gas fireplace and baseboard heating. Thoughtful touches not already mentioned include a boot/glove warmer in winter, storage rack for ski equipment, a humidifier, and a high chair and pack and play for our youngest guests.

There is a laundry room onsite at Four O'Clock Lodge. The owners have also purchased membership at the offsite Upper Village clubhouse which includes a heated pool and three hot tubs (one indoor and two outdoor), and this membership extends to guests using the keycard provided in the unit hall closet. To get there take a short walk through our neighboring complex or you can drive.

This unit offers all you could want, plus more, for your stay in Breckenridge!”

Toilet seat needs attention
Overall, my stay was very satisfying. However, I would like you to know that the toilet seat is very wobbly, to the point that sitting on it puts a person off-balance. It truly needs attention.

Great Location
We enjoyed our stay here as it is a great location and the perfect size for our needs. Two problems: The mattress in inverted like a "V" and sinks terribly in the middle, making sleeping difficult. Also the kitchen needs a few more supplies, like a whisk, a couple more knives and more utensils. With a couple of updates, I would return. It was so nice to have the sliding door to walk outside on the grass and sit in the chairs.

Father / Son Ski trip
The location and unit was pretty perfect for the two of us. Short walk to Snowflake lift and best part was skiing right up to the unit for a break and at the end of the day. Cozy unit. Clean. Main floor and easy access which is nice. Garage space is super small and tight. I doubt my larger SUV would have fit but didn’t even attempt. Not a huge deal though as the parking lot was fine. Communication from Great Western Lodging was good. Ample number of emails including reminders. Received check in details with door code day of arrival at 9am. I didn’t see a parking pass in the unit and they brought one right over since I parked in the lot. Close half mile walk to town for food and shopping. Again, location is what makes this unit a great choice. Ski rentals: Christy lone star is on the same street at the bottom of the hill. You can pick up your rental gear and drive up to the unit. On the last day I carried them down to drop off on the walk to dinner. Very convenient. There’s also Charter rentals next to Snowflake lift. Another good option to consider.

Poor management
We arrived at our unit and the key pad didn't work. We called before 5 p.m. a couple of times and there was no answer. We used the lock box to get the key. We couldn't lock the front door when leaving. We had to lock from inside and go out the sliding patio door. We had to take our belongings with us when left to recreate. We won't be staying at your property again.

Great Ski House
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. The property is excellent for winter skiing, being just a short walk to the Snowflake lift or the shuttle bus. The ski-in feature was incredibly convenient. Additionally, being on the first floor meant no stairs to climb, which was a bonus. The entry area was convenient to store all our ski gear, with a ski rack, glove and boot dryer, and ample closet space for everything else. This setup was far more convenient than using a ski locker. There was a bench which made it easy to put on all our gear. In the late afternoon, we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and watching skiers through the sliding glass door finish their day and kids sledding after they finished. It was also a quick walk to Main Street for shopping and meals. Overall, a fantastic house with all the amenities we needed. The only cons were the bed sagged and the communal washer and dryers required quarters ($1.50 and $1.25 respectively). We didn’t mind paying, but didn’t have that many quarters.

Good location
Overall good stay. The pros: Easy to walk to town. Definitely ski in Heated garage (tight) but fine for an average SUV Heat was good Had most kitchen amenities needed Bathroom was clean and pressure was good. Nice view of skiers returning in the trail. Fireplace worked easily. Cons: It’s walk out and up a slight hill maybe 100 yards. Pool is.a decent walk, about twice as long. Couch and carpet needed a good vacuuming. Founds lots of large crumbs It’s small for 6. 4 at the most if 2 are kids. There is 1 bathroom and it’s a pullout couch. We had 2 so it was no big deal. Lastly, this was the first condo stay where there wasn’t basic cooking stock like a stick of butter or cooking oil to use. We bought a stick of butter, no biggie. But oil would’ve been nice.
