Welcome to the Lake House. Our Property is in the quiet county of Haldimand in Southern Ontario. An easy drive from Hamilton (50 min) and Toronto (1.5 hours) We have a 1/2 acre parcel and own access to a small beach across the quiet road. The lake is good for swimming, fishing and water sports. A large sandy beach with public access is a 5 minute drive to the west. Our home has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths on the main floor with a third bedroom and rec room in the basement. Although ideal for fun and quiet family getaways, it is within easy reach of small communities (Port Dover fishing village, Dunnville river town) famous attractions (Niagara Falls is 1 hour drive and Niagara on the Lake is 1:20).

They were wonderful days in the house by the lake. The house is nicely furnished and well equipped. The view is simply beautiful. From there we made trips to Niagara Falls, Port Dover and Lake Ontario. It's all a bit further away, but we knew that. Mark and Lisa are very nice and Mark was especially helpful in planning the excursion. Checking in and checking out was completely unproblematic. Can only report positves and thank you for everything. Unfortunately, 5 days were too short to enjoy the lake.
The house is beautifully located by the lake with easy access for a good swim. The environment is relaxing and very friendly. The house is fully equipped with whatever is needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts Lisa and Mark are very friendly, open, accessible, and support wherever they can with suggestions, hints, directions, and even equipment.
We had a fantastic stay over two weeks and can highly recommend this outstanding place. Lisa and Mark, thank you so much!
Overall nice place wish private beach was still there ,would have made stay better but can't control mother nature

Perfect quiet family get away!
We rented this lake house as a family, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for our family. The area by the lake is very quiet and the front porch is a fantastic spot to relax. The Mitchells were always on hand to answer any questions or just to chat! Make sure to check out the Scoop and Bean in Selkirk for some ice cream while you're there!

Peaceful and very relaxing with stunning view of Lake Erie
Great house with loads of accommodation; well furnished and kitted out; you are continually drawn to the view out the window of the lake. The porch area is great to just sit and listen and watch the Canada Geese, sometimes in their hundreds, just alighting on the water. Very relaxing and the owners showed us around and were very helpful in explaining things and also some of the local attractions.
Swimming in the lake from the private beach was good fun and exercise and this was literally a few paces from the front porch of the house.
You will need to hire a car and discover many other beautiful spots in the area plus where to go and buy food etc. There are also some great restaurants about and they have an interesting take on "fish and chips" with all the fish being local lake fish.
We thoroughly enkoyed ourselves and would recommend this property to others

Lovely Lake House with a gorgeous view of Lake Erie
My family and I loved our stay at the Lake House. Lisa (one of our hosts) was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us around the house. Throughout our stay Mark and Lisa were quick to answer our questions, and give us recommendations for restaurants, places to go, etc.
The house was comfortable, and as a small family we mostly used only the main floor. We were pleased to have the use of a kitchen with ample supplies (pots, utensils, plates, plastic containers, etc), and we really enjoyed being able to sit out on the deck and look at the lake while we ate our meals.
The water of Lake Erie was very high when we were at the Lake House, but we were still enjoyed playing and hanging out on the beach.
